The Pistons Pulse: Offseason Deep Dive w/Laz Jackson

hello and welcome to your goto Detroit Pistons podcast The Pistons Pulse co-hosted by me Bryce Simon from Motor City Hoops a former D1 hooper and current teacher husband and father of three amazing kids And I’m Mari Sank for the second piss beat writer for the Detroit Free Press It’s so depressing Your voice sounds so much better than mine And like I go through my little spiel and then you come on and I’m just like “God this sucks.” No your voice is like chipper Like it’s just like it’s a contrast is what it is Preubescent is what one listener once told us that I sound like I’m 15 years old Well no that would be like 11 years old Um so uh I don’t know if it’s a little lower than that right I think when I get excited the pitch goes up a little bit or octave or whatever I don’t know You are at least you are at least 17 You’re at least 17 years old pitch wise I’ll take it I guess Um of course we’re always blessed to be joined by our producer Wes Davenport If you’re not listening to Wes and Blake Silverman on the pin down over on the Detroit Bad Boys YouTube you absolutely should be You should be reading Omari Sophi on the Detroit Free Press And if you have any other Pistons content left in you the free for free Motor City Hoop Substack I am finally dropping some content with video breakdowns draft prospects potential offseason acquisitions but none of that matters because we have our favorite guest I don’t know He’s like a borderline co-host What’s the difference between favorite guest and co-host Whatever that is Laz Jackson is that we’re going to have a great episode today Laz how are you doing I’m doing great guys Thanks once again for having me um settling in to enjoy the NBA Finals game three tonight Uh I know the atmosphere in Indianapolis is going to be crazy Vi Bryce you sound at least 20 Like give yourself So you’re not helping because your voice sounds phenomenal as well So like I should just shut up like ask as quick a questions as possible and let you and O2 do all the talking But real quick uh predictions tonight and the rest of the series O2 you go first Like I feel really uncomfortable uh betting against this Pacers team because as long as they are within uh 16 points with two minutes like it’s a winnable game So uh and it’s going back to their place So like in like in my mind OKC is I mean like they’ve been the best team in basketball all season like from start to finish So like in my mind like they should win this in like five But I’m just going to go Indiana because they go home and they keep finding ways to voodoo magic like losses into wins Uh so that’s all I got Like I wish I had some real analysis but I don’t They just Wait so you have Pacers tonight but do you have Pacers in the series I still have OKC in the series but I think it’s probably going to go six Yeah I think it’s going to go six We’ll revisit this next week All right Laz Yeah Pacers win tonight and that’s the last game they win this series Yeah love it Love it I’ll take it I picked Thunder and five before the series So I need uh two OKC road wins to stay with that So it’s it’s been fun I thought it’d be a competitive series Fun competitive series We’ve got that so far But let’s talk Pistons today Quick rundown here guys It’s going to be a fun episode We’re going to get L’s thoughts on the off seasonason in general Maybe some rookie extensions acquisitions what he thinks should be Traan’s path moving forward Then we are gonna look I actually gave my first homework assignment on the Pistons polls I did I did get some homework I appreciated the homework That was very meaningful So we’re looking at Maxim Renault We are looking at Chaz Laneir God I forgot my other assignment Who was my other Ti Alex Tui Yes And those archetype of players So not just the players but also those archetypes And then we are playing sheet or sham at the end of the podcast We’ll bring Wes on to do that Although O2 may take an entire uh segment complaining about something It sounds like it’s not going to be a whole segment We’ll see I mean it might be So um our guy Harry says “What up though Harry?” I was over on the order of Blazing Horse earlier Obviously he helped over on the Substack Um YouTube user I got I got Game Theory tonight after game three also Um so it’s been a lot of podcasting today I do get some good sleep though Laz Pistons off season Let’s go 5,000 foot view or mile high view or whatever you call it Big picture view What just give us those thoughts before we get into specifics of extensions or whatever Like what is your process What is your outcome you would like for this offseason for Detroit So I don’t think my my guiding star so far this offseason has been you can’t run it back with this exact same team and expect to make any progress So whether that’s if you you know if you operate as an underthe cap team and don’t bring back a lot of guys and you regress kind of on purpose a little bit with the hope of uh finding some young talent and like developing them a little bit that’s one thing If you uh if you make your version of the Go Bear or Donovan Mitchell trade this off seasonason you go all in like now that you finally got control of your draft future you go all in you get a like an allNBA level or def an an alldefense level guy and you slot that into the rest of the core and you’re saying like okay like we’ve arrived we’re here we’re moving forward You can do that but what what you can’t do is just bring back Malik Beasley bring back Tim Hardway Jr bring back Dennis Schroer and be like “All right we’re gonna get sixth in the East again.” Because you know despite the you know despite the injuries to Jaden Ivy and the really poor play of Jaylen Dur for like the first like 25 games like you you so many things can go wrong over the course of a regular season You you need to try to improve this team in order to move forward So that’s that’s where I’m at with the offseason Like how how they how they do that Like I don’t know I’ve heard Nas Reed Like Nas Reed is the name that like really intrigues me just because I think he slots along nicely age- wise with the rest of the core He slots along nicely at a projected price point with the with the rest of the core Uh you know if he’s making like $50 million a year like I’m a lot less interested in Nas Reed but uh that like I don’t think that’s possible or I don’t think that’s feasible So uh and then you have guys like I don’t know I’ve said Nikil Alexander Walker I’ve heard Keon Ellis Lori Markin has been like the big name over the last couple days because they had that report from that dude I’ve never heard of on Twitter No shade to him but it’s a lot of dudes popping out of the woodwork right now Um and Lori is Lori interests me and I’d be curious to hear what you had to say about this Bryson Nomari Lori interests me uh because like he is a good archetype to slot in next to Cade and Jaylen Duran and Assar And you probably got to get up get up off of Jaden Ivy or SR Thompson in that trade So not everybody Uh but at the same time uh he makes a little under $50 million he’s going to continue to make a little under 50 a little under 50 a little over 40 for the next three to four years And so you’re in a place where between paying Cade after the AllNBA bump and Lori Markin like a combined like $98 million a year like you’re that’s your team and you extend Jaylen Durn like that that’s your team like you you have locked in the core It’s like is that a good enough core to lock in or have you done like the Atlanta Hawks like conference championship thing or have you even done like Memphis the year they won like 50 games and were the two seed and made it to the second round right like have you locked yourself into a team that’s like not actually at the level you would like it to be like moving forward and kind of just crossing your fingers and hoping that like your young dude improves to from top 15 to like top seven and like pushes you over the hump that way So yeah that’s that’s that’s kind of my like big picture thing Uh Mario what are your thoughts about Lori Markin guess to start Um I don’t like the price Like I think I’ll probably start there if he were like you know like and it’s like 10 million I know like in today’s NBA 10 million is not as big of a gap as it used to be Uh but like I I don’t know if I’ve seen him in the like you know this is definitely like our third best player uh that you want to pay this type of money environment and there’s a chance somebody else on the team develops into you know the type of player where you don’t need William marketin to be your second best but that’s also another aspect of it Uh like I don’t know if Barkin’s like the initial trade you make To me that’s like maybe the trade after the initial trade when you have sort of a hierarchy set with your top two Uh kind of like how Boston when they got Porzingis once they already pretty much had the other guys locked in Uh but but overall like it sounds like you’re just higher on like the field essentially than just bringing everybody back like you see all these names out there or potential traits and it sounds like that’s that intrigues you more than just bringing back THJ bees and shoulders Is it just you saw enough of those guys Like where does that kind of like where’s your thinking on that I I think it’s a combination of like are there other teams that finish behind you in the East that I’m a little bit more wary of now Like Orlando in particular Orlando was ravaged by injuries we to France and Paulo we know during the regular season and that’s like that’s a very scary matchup for the Pistons because as currently constructed they just don’t have the size to deal with them Uh people have started to talk themselves into Atlanta It’s easy for me to see how Atlanta gets there but they actually like have to get there So like that this it’s an early offseason thing but like I’m keeping an eye on them Jaylen Johnson could make some sort of Yeah really good player I I was so wrong on him from a draft email perspective I was like this like this dude sucks Like what are we doing here You always have Johnny Davis though You called that one from day one Hey I like Johnny Davis too so we could No no no He I’m being ser Laz said he wasn’t going to make it No Yeah I knew Johnny Davis was scoring the like toughest 20 points a game I’ve ever seen anyone score It was It was not going to work Yeah that’s why I was like well you know just give him some space and now he’s getting easier buckets No that way Nope Nope No but but uh like Indiana finished fourth and they’re very clearly like much better than anyone expected them to be and perhaps well positioned to to ascend in the conference Uh who else is behind them that I’m a little like worried about That’s pretty much it Like maybe Toronto does something crazy and like trades for Yiannis or something but there’s everyone all the podcasts I listen to So like everyone I talk to no it’s it’s the podcast I listen to but everyone says there’s going to be a summer of great upheaval in the NBA And I if there’s going to be a lot of upheaval there’s going to be a lot of guys switching teams like kicking off with this KD trade that seems like it’s going to happen before July 1st Like if that’s going to happen I would like to get better and not just like be hoping to be in the same place like after the landscape settles you know Okay so let’s go with that then improvement where is the biggest area of growth then for this team like because a lot of people and I think fairly so whenever I have expressed similar things in terms of I don’t want to just run it back with the exact same roster will fairly push back and say it’s not going to be the same roster because Jaden Ivy is coming back from injury and Assar Thompson has an off season and we never saw all of those guys play together I’m not gonna ask you necessarily what you think those guys are How worried are you about maybe stepping over some of the young guys growth with any of these Or is it like take what Tim Hardaway Jr did and improve that take what I don’t know Shruder did and improve that or you know maybe what we were hoping Fontekia was going to be and we re you know we improve that getting a backup forward that’s the air apparent Tobias Harris in the starting lineup or something you know like where do you see that biggest growth or improvement Laz um and even players that may would be able to do it for you Bryce you took all my points those points I’m sorry improve on THJ I’m the worst question asker ever because I just like give my thoughts while I ask the question But no it’s it’s a good laundry list though right And that’s that’s what makes it like a an easy question to ask But yeah like improve on the THJ slot Uh Tobias is not a long-term solution both in terms of age and contract So figure out a long-term solution at the four and then uh figure out a Fonteo replacement to absorb some minutes during the regular season Like I I think it was fair that Fontekio like wasn’t earning minutes in the New York Knicks series like and by the end of the series like Ron had fallen out of the rotation and so like it’s as you’re like ninth eighth ninth guy like I don’t think it’s fair to be like we must have the best eighth ninth guy in that slot and like that’s how we improve the team Uh but you do need somebody you do need a full 10-man rotation to play uh every night and so that’s how you absorb some minutes and to the I don’t know Ivy was a big loss for the team but he and Tim Hardway Jr are they brought different things to the table from an offensive perspective And I think that I I like I value what both of them did but just just replacing THJ with Ivy means you like don’t have what THJ bought in terms of like movement shooting in terms of like length on the wing uh and competitiveness Like we’ve like you’ve brought up Sam Merryill a bunch Bryce and like that’s more of of what I equate as like a Tim Hardway Jr replacement even if I don’t know if like I would need to watch more like more of Merryill to see if he like can actually like fill all those minutes because TJ was like quietly like pretty good last year for the Pistons I mean I I I may have a video breakdown coming on Friday on the free Motor City hoop substack to answer some of those questions I was I was watching the La the Loravia video uh before before we started doing the podcast I’m an avid subscriber You know this I do know this I appreciate it But yeah that that’s that’s kind of where I’m at Are there any names like what are the N like you brought up Nas Um another shameless plug His video breakdown drops tomorrow on Thursday on the Motor City Hoop Substack Um is there another name Like you brought up Naw we brought up Lorravia Ty Jerome is a name out there like you know I mean and you can give the caveat of okay well cap casualty Ty Jerome very interesting Dorian Finny Smith Al Horford like some of those guy is there a name that really is intriguing to you above all else even like get rid of the mechanisms the mechanics to get him here we can get into the what’s the name that kind of intrigues you yeah if we’re talking about like long-term solutions at the four the the names are like Nas uh Jabari Smith Jr if something like knocks loose in a Kevin Durant trade like I and if he’s like all of a sudden he’s headed to Brooklyn and it’s like like I don’t I don’t know if I feel like being in Brooklyn where like nobody can get me the ball and I’m the uh is like okay well you know we we got some space we got some room and that’s a guy who his contract is coming up soon he would want to he’d want an extension but like that’s a guy I feel pretty comfortable extending at like a reasonable number and then of course uh like Nas and his incoming contract which will be probably in like the 25 to 30 range Wes can keep me honest on that which that seems like about what we’re getting And that’s a good like long-term solution in my mind He can space the floor he can rebound Really if you can space the floor and rebound like that’s that’s two big items like checked off for me Uh he does a he does a good not great job on defense Um he really struggled in the Oklahoma City series but like everybody did so I’m not like overly worried about like how that’s going to look for him Um but yeah like Nazarite is uh be a really good gift and you could play him and stew it together right Like he’s he’s versatile enough like he could be your five he could be your four He offers lineup versatility um by being a potential spacing five He opens up like the possibility of playing a SAR and Ron at the same time in lineups and helps facilitate like growth of the youth that way So yeah like th those are those are the names And then like at the high end like if you’re going to do your go bear swing like I would Jiren Jackson Jr is the name I’ve been looking at And like yeah he’s Yeah it’s like a little bit of a homer pick Like yeah it’s a little bit of a sparty pick but like he he was on pace Like did he make all defense this year I think he still finished second team if I I think he might have finished second team Yeah So again like second team alldefense level guy uh again spaces the floor has gotten a lot better with the ball in his hands Uh and something I don’t think when it mattered for the Grizzlies he didn’t get enough chance to operate with the ball in his hands which I thought was weird Um and so maybe maybe there’s some stuff there that I don’t know about Uh but yeah like that would that would be that would be and and like he’s what 27 26 26 Yeah Yeah So again like he’s there’s a he’s in his we’ll call it he’s in his prime but like he’s not uh in his 30s and we can still expect to see him like play at this level for like the for like the next three four years And Duran’s like the exact type of big he went next to him too Yeah Like you know let let Dur rebound which is what he wants to do anyway right And catch loss Like he is like he’s going to be in heaven playing next to Jared Jackson Jr who’s going to do all the nitpicky defense stuff Uh last so let’s kind of look more so from a what the Pistons would have to potentially give up you know to improve this offseason whether that’s uh you know just going the cap space route or whatever else Uh you kind of floated maybe you have to part ways with a JI or a NAR to go after a Lari Marlin like who’s on your do not trade list and is there anybody who’s who’s like a like I don’t want to give this guy up unless we’re getting like this like ex caliber player Yeah So Cade is obviously on my do not trade list and then it’s like it’s a big step down and then like oddly it’s Stu Like I Stu is weirdly the second most valuable member of this Pistons team I think that’s fair because because his contract is good He’s their best uh he’s their best big man defender He offers you like some level of scheme vers versatility on defense um he’s he’s kind of in like the Marcus Smart with Boston category whereas like maybe he’s not the best player but that’s your quote unquote heart and soul And so I don’t want I don’t want to lose that uh for for much And then you get like a then you get like a smaller step down and then it’s like probably like Assar and Ron in that order and then it’s like JD and Ji Um obviously like for Jiren Jackson Jr you’d like to pair him with JD and not like trade JD to get him like that That’s see that’s a little weird Um but I think Memphis would probably more be more interested in like an SAR or a Ron for JJ And I think like I would that’s something I would have like I’d have like the three-hour meeting right Like you you gota you got to discuss that at the absolute least And uh having like mentally discussed it myself like I think I think I would do it I think I would do if it really came down to it I would you’d start with like hey here’s some picks Here’s some swaps Here’s Tobias Harris like as like a good locker room vet which like apparently you guys need really badly Uh like here you want like here’s a lightly used Marcus Sasser Like you you like we are we good And uh no we need like one of the young guys and like you you probably got to put him in there Um let’s finish with this before we get to the NBA draft stuff The rookie extensions are on the table this off seasonason Laz what is your comfortability range for Ji and JD And what do you think ultimately happens with those two guys and their contract extensions Yeah So Bryce I got to give you credit Uh we talked about this like on the phone a little bit Yeah And you you and Sam had the best discussion like nationally I think we’ve had around like those extensions Uh and I’m I think I’m at the point now where Ji is in low ball or like show me mode which is probably not where he wants to be as a player And like honestly like not a great place to be as a team because like if he doesn’t play well like you can’t trade him for nearly as much And if he does play well like all of a sudden he’s making 35 million and you’ve kind of like locked in your core a little bit Uh so that’s where I think like Ji ultimately ends up He doesn’t sign an extension this off seasonason We we go into the year and like I don’t know I forget if the rules have changed but like maybe after 30 games he like gets an extension and we’re like “Okay we’ve seen enough.” And then JD JD is solidly like “Hey here’s starter level center money which is like 25 26 27 million a year for as long as he wants it maybe he would like like a four-year deal with like a a fourth year player option so he can get back on the market He’s young enough that like a four-year deal would take him to age 25 And so it’s like “Yeah I could sign I could sign a 30% max at age 25.” Like “Yeah I’m going to try and do that.” It’s like “All right Godspeed.” Like more more power to you I hope I hope you can do that So like four years 110 something like that Yeah Yeah Yeah Something like that And like And that puts you in a good spot Like that’s about what a quality starting center makes in today’s NBA He would make he’d make more than Zubach which Zubach made 13 all NBA this year So it’s like hey that’s a pretty good deal for you Um it but it would probably be less than like Miles Turner is going to get this off seasonason And so like that would be like I think he I think he’d be okay with that I think his agent and like the team could probably get to a place where like everybody’s everybody’s happy uh as we went through those offseason previews over on Game Theory which the the Pistons one is almost on 10,000 views I think over on the the YouTube channel So thank you guys so much for checking those out If you haven’t it’s pretty good content I think I’m a little biased We talked about Mark Williams and we talked about Walker Kesler And what I found myself wondering is like does one of those guys set the market for the other two Does one of them crush a deal And then Jaylen Dur’s like well I’m better than that guy I’ve been more available than that guy those guys Yeah So give me more than that Or does Mark Williams set the market in a lower range where like there’s real injury worry and he takes a low ball offer and then now Detroit says “Well you’re better than Mark Williams but are you $10 million a year better than Mark Williams He just took this number.” You know like and so it just it was interesting to see like which one of those guys is the first to strike in terms of those extensions this off seasonason And in the same way for Ji you could say the same thing about Shaden Sharp about Benedict Matan What kind of deals do those guys end up signing um this off seasonason as well So I think it’ll be it it’ll be interesting I think those are the two biggest decisions Uh I don’t foresee them going you know hunting for a big name Um although Jiren Jackson Jr would be awesome Trey Murphy the third is the other name that I I have kind of fallen I I don’t think you can get Trey Murphy I don’t think I don’t think so either I just love his game And if if if the Pelicans want to be crazy bad again for the next five years and they might like there’s a they may decide to do that So all right we are going to cut it off there When we come back from the short break I gave some homework to Amari and Laz regarding the 2025 NBA draft Three names three archetypes We’re gonna start with L’s least favorite or least exciting one of those three and then work our way to the most exciting of the homework We’ll get into that right after this All right we are back with segment two and we’re going to get into some draft talk here looking at the 37th overall pick and we have three names here Uh the first name is somebody that I reported the Pistons worked out last week Uh Tennessee Wing Chaz Laneir and I’m gonna give the stage back to our guest here Bradley what are your what are your One sec Let give let’s give them all three Yeah Yeah Oh yeah Yeah Yeah So we have Chaz Ladir We have you know Maxim Renault He’s French Maxim Reno I was like you could probably get the names cuz I don’t know if I’m Alex Alex Tui and then Alex Tui who is Australian So Chaz Ladir Maxim Rena and Alex Tui Uh yeah third favorite What was your third favorite Laz Yeah it was No that was that was a good segue because Omari had my third favorite It was it was Chaz Laneir Okay Uh Chaz Laneir 65 guard Tennessee on the older side So like maybe you hope he can contribute And I I Bryce would probably know more about this than me but like it is interesting to me how the uh the NIL era is like kind of like whittling down like what’s going to be available like after like the first round after the 20 after the 25th pick It’s like the 25th pick makes like six million and that dudes are like I can make six million like for a year in college Like what what are we doing here So NBA is going to have to do something about that or not We’ll we’ll see Uh but Laneir when Bryce gave me the names I knew nothing about any of those guys because I haven’t done any research this year Love it Um and so I watched I put him on first and I was like “Okay I see the appeal right?” Like this is your this is your maybe he’s 60% of THJ for like 80% or like what 20 or 20% of the cost right Uh on the other hand like he kind of struck me as just a guy uh long term fluid but not like an amazing athlete but not an amazing athlete Uh not amazing things on defense I don’t I don’t know if that was like system stuff from Tennessee Like Bryce again probably knows better than I do Uh but yeah he Lenir seems like a like very worthy second round pick but like one of those second round picks where I don’t expect much in the short or long term Um the way I was thinking about it is like if you draft you could spend assets to draft Laneir or you could like play Lindy Waters III right who does a lot of what linear you would hope linear like does and like it doesn’t cost you a 37 pick and I was like okay like this guy’s this guy’s maybe an NBA player maybe he’s a quad a quadruple a like NBA player and that’s fine yeah I think you hit it pretty solid with Lenir U the shooting numbers are kind of ridiculous two years ago at North Florida he shot 44% on seven and a half threes and then he comes to Tennessee and shoots 40% % on 8.2 three-point attempts per game Um the defense is interesting Um I think when you watch a game you can see that they put him on the other team’s least offensive threat and I think that’s by design Again all of these guys I have video breakdowns over on the Motor City Hoop Substack Those tend to lean a little more positive because I just wanted to show the upside of the player in terms of what they might be able to provide But I think this is truly like you hit it on the head This is truly like you are going to knock down three like you’re gonna space the floor knock down threes hopefully off movement maybe attack a close out into a mid-range pullup And it’s an interesting archetype to think about right Like is is is that going to find the rotation Is it worth the 37th pick So Amari your thoughts I know Detroit brought him in your thoughts on Laneir you know what you have seen or what you know and and maybe that archetype of player in general at 37 Yeah like he’s one of the best shooters in the draft Catch and shoot Like he could just really really knock down shots and like because of that and on top of that he’s like 6’4 like he’s got a good wingspan like 68 69 like not like an amazing athlete but also like not a bad athlete per se Uh but I think that I mean I think Laz like you said like with Lind Lindy Waters maybe that’s what you’re getting in a player like Chaz in there Uh you know maybe there’s some you know THJ upside as a guy that could just you know take nine threes a night on average for a long time and knock them down between a 36 to 38% clip you know you know which uh you know can lead to a pretty long NBA career Uh I like Chazir a lot like I would probably have him second uh on that prospect list just because I think you know exactly what you’re getting from him and like there’s a lot more to the NBA than just knocking down threes but at the very least like you know you’re getting that and like at 37 I think there’s just value in having uh that level of certainty uh you know if he were a little bit smaller like you know I’d probably be like uh like I don’t know but at 6’4 like with that wingspan I feel pretty good about him being an offguard Um and just for what it’s worth I have him in the early to mid-40s on my personal board right next to another player that Pistons fans often talked about Kobe Brea the same kind of ilk of player in terms of just being a big-time shooter floor spacer Brea might be as good as they come in regards to that And and to your point about NIL it did it changed it Like you guys aren’t going to like this but the University of Michigan definitely got a huge payoff from the NIL area of college basketball Not just because they were able to pay Yakel Lindenborg but because they were able to pay Yakel Lindenborg enough to stay in college and not in the draft where I mean for me he was a borderline first round pick but I can’t imagine he wasn’t getting enough love to at least be you know he wasn’t going to get a first round guarantee but probably at his age say like I’m going to go ahead and stay in And maybe not Maybe Axel loves college Maybe Michigan was his dream school I don’t know But there were a lot of guy like there was a mass exodus of guys and the range it truly hurts is this like second round range like there’s a fewer guys to be excited about and Sam and I have both said right around 35 to 40ish is when we start to find guys like we’re just not super excited anymore So all right so Laneir is out I am fascinated to see if who I think is going to be your top guy is So I’m fascinated to see what your name here is in terms of who was the second guy for you Laz Yeah the the second guy for me was 2 Uh 69 21 years old one to1 assist to turnover ratio which like immediately told me like oh this guy’s a play finisher as a wing Uh when when I turned on his like YouTube stuff the first thing I noticed was that he gets the shot out quick which is a good thing to have at his height it uh doesn’t go in He’s not like an elite shooter like Laneir but from a from a 68 69 guy with that build to be able to space the floor like that Like that’s definitely like interesting in a way like Lenir like didn’t kind of jump off the page at me He’s a good rebounder Uh he’s not afraid to like mix it up I like that Again like if you can shoot and rebound like you’ve cleared like a pretty like decent bar for me And then um what else not a a good not great athlete Uh like wasn’t dunking in situations where I thought like a a normal a like baseline NBA athlete like would be dunking But again like he’s big and so uh with like there’s ways you can cover that up positionally uh even in today’s like spaced out game that made him again like more interesting than lineer Um I think he’s like but the athleticism concerns like definitely like pigeon hole him as a four right like he’s uh they were playing him at three in Australia and like I think that’s fine in the NBL but like not at the NBA like I if he gets on switches against like guards uh like that’s going to be a problem at the NBA level and that was another thing right like there’s no there’s not a lot of scheme versatility right like this guy has to be in like this these guys can’t switch so like you have to be in drop or you have to be like in a recovery like a rotation scheme um which is fine that’s what the Pistons played most last year uh Yeah a name I’ve gotten for him and I actually kind of like and I found myself going there as I was watching the film myself is a name that I do think is interesting for the Pistons as an offseason acquisition depending if they go over under the cap But he reminded me a little bit of Jake Laavia in terms of like just offensive versatility He’s not a primary on ball guy at all but he can attack a close out He moves the ball well If the shooting really is there it looks really good Um and then I think Larravia is a better defender but like I just think that Lravia is a really good defender compared to most but um can you see a little bit of that in his game And does that interest you adding to the Pistons roster Let’s say the high-end outcome of Tui is a Jake Larabish type of player Is is that interesting Do you think that that’s worthy I mean we’re talking about the 37th pick but do you think that’s a rotation role that they could use Yeah I think I like we’re talking you you had the video about Jake Larabia being an offseason acquisition Yeah we we talked a lot about how Simony Fontio was kind of disappointing this year from a again from like a rotations minute perspective and so like yeah they could they could use that archetype and it was funny actually the you know who he reminded me of Bryce Ursan Iliova Okay Just like the the way he got the shot up the way that they were like using him offensively but like an evolutionary version of of Ersan because Ersan would get opportunities to like attack close outs and like move in transition a little bit more in like today’s game But yeah that that was a name that actually kind of popped in my mind Um but yeah I this is one where like if if Chaz Laneir is like we have Chaz Laneir at home in Lindy Waters III Alex Tuhi was like we maybe have Alex Tui at home with Bobby Clintman who would play a similar who would they both would be fours I think in the NBA Uh maybe like very different styles of like going about it on offense Bobby uh seems like a much better passer right than than Alex Tui Um but like they kind of occupy the same spaces on the floor at uh at the the best outcomes of themselves And so it became began a question of like hey like if you if you pick this guy uh does that mean like you are you like doing the Dark Knight scene where you’re breaking the pool queue in half and being like one of you one of you guys is getting minutes which one is it going to be right uh or is there like an opportunity to use this asset to uh either get somebody that you know will be good or you know uh flip it for some more stuff down the road O2 your thoughts on Alex Tui or that that archetype the the Bobby Clintman idea is interesting I I actually had thought about that as well So that is interesting Yeah I like the archetype more than the player As for those for those who are listening and not watching uh one of his kids just great behind him on camera Uh h what’s up Um I like So too he like I like the archetype I feel like more than I like the player Like you watch him play and like I feel like the jumper looks nice Like you know he’s got great size like 68 69 Uh I think his six his wings spans around 600 or 6 to 11 Uh like decent athlete like I think he has good awareness I think he keeps his head up Uh he just doesn’t knock down a lot of threes and that’s like you know his entire game hinges on his ability to knock down threes uh like I think he only shot around between like 68 and 71 72% uh during his two years over in Australia which you know isn’t like the most encouraging as far as like if you’re a buyer it’s a free throw touch The part that was appealing to me Omari was like he shot really poorly last year and he shot like moderately well like this year and so you think that there’s like there’s there’s improvement and maybe he improves to like a like baseline like 36 37% guy but that’s still functional right Yeah No it’s still functional Yeah Like for him like if he can knock down threes then like you’re in great shape right And to u and to Liz’s point uh he shot 24% uh in 23 24 and then that went up to 31% uh last season on about the same amount of attempts 2.4 and then 2.9 Uh yeah and then his free throw percentage did go up to about 69% to about 73 So you did see like those those numbers went up like those numbers went up That’s what you want to see Uh it’s just not where it needs to be Uh so I like Tumi as a prospect Like honestly the gap between him and Chaz Laneir is really like not that big at all Like it’s just me buying into like something I know I’m getting versus like what might possibly happen down the road But even then if he knocks down shots like uh like he’s still probably like a guy that is like if he could be like Sam Merrill like I like I heard that name earlier like that would be good But I don’t know I don’t know I’ll mix I I don’t He probably doesn’t end up being that type of shooter Yeah Merryill Merryill was a real good shooter in college Yeah he was Like when I said that I’m like “No like he had a strap in college for sure.” Yeah All right let’s get to the last name here And I probably should have given the caveat that like these two guys you’re taking at 37 I don’t think the final guy lasts to 37 If he does and Trejan does not take him I’m going to be very frustrated Um I I will get over it but I just think that especially at 37 I’ve said I would be willing to move up in the draft for this next player Um assuming it was like a second round pick or something like that Like not real crazy capital not like a future first or something insane like that But obviously it is Maxim Renault the stretch big out of Stanford the skilled big out of Stanford Laz were you like just I’m not that crazy about these other two guys and I do like Maxim or a little bit or like you think that Maxim is a dude that can really play and would fit this roster like where where did you land on that spectrum So as I’ve talked about like Lenir being Lindy Waters and Tui Mick maybe being Bobby Clintman like the Pistons like very much like don’t have a dude who did what Maxine Reo like was doing on the court for Stanford Uh again like as somebody who’s coming into this cold I was like “Wait like who is this guy This guy’s 71 executing like spin moves in the lane shooting.” It was like it was it was really intriguing right Um like yeah he’s a little on the older side Uh but the and the Pistons have he Pistons have wanted a stretch big on the floor when Kade or like when one of the point guards are on the floor They’ve needed that for a while Um he shot what He shot well from three Not like amazing Yeah 35% from three on five attempts a game So not like not crazy but he’s a stretch big right like that’s that’s a good again if you could shoot and rebound which he did both is like again like you’ve cleared a very a very big bar for me So I I like the fact that he did that And it was funny too Bryce So before before I looked at the video I looked at the stats like just as like “Okay like what what kind of player am I getting here?” And I saw his like “Okay he’s 71 Okay rebounds and shoots.” It’s like “Okay he shoots.” Like “That’s cool.” And it’s like “He has a 31% usage rate Like what’s going on here?” And then I turn on the YouTube clips and he’s like facing up He’s like attacking off the catch He’s like pump faking and going by guys I’m like “What What is this Yeah this is amazing And so like yeah he was pretty clearly the best option out of all those three to me but uh as you mentioned like he was intriguing enough to where I was like I don’t know if he’s there at 37 Again like coming in completely cold to the draft uh at least to the like not top two three picks of the draft Um I was like “Yeah I I don’t know This a 72 guy who shoots the way he does and moves the way he does does not generally last until the 30 like seventh pick.” So that was that was my Maxine takes The one thing I’ll say about the three-point shooting he shot 323 in his career So if you just look at his career as a whole and was 35% career 73% free throw shooter And again in the video breakdown I did I one thing I highlight is like he can play on the perimeter It’s not just pick and pop Like he understands relocation and go play in the corner and attack a close out And so like it just it really works in regards to that He doesn’t need to be in the action but he can keep proper spacing in regards to that And I know at at the combine like he wasn’t like just floating around the perimeter right He was like mixing it up And like you you like to see that in your like quote unquote stretch big the ability to mix it up Uh Cloudy House could he play with Steu Like I wouldn’t have that as my like main focus but I think there are lineups and rotations where you could do it in a second unit situation It’s not like it’s not going to be 50/50 Like most of his minutes will be as the third big but there would be times because he can space the floor and do those things I’ve seen people bring up the defensive issues I get it I understand it I agree with it I I do think he does a great job using his link that he does have and he understands position and sometimes guys can at least survive especially in the role we’re talking about with Renault doing that So real quickly here O2 your thoughts on Maxim Renault and that archetype adding to the center position for Detroit Yeah I mean pretty much everything L said I agree with and he’s also my favorite prospect out of the group uh like a super coordinated big like can put the ball on the floor really solid shooter Uh swing skill for him obviously would be you know defense like he has good size at center He’s not like uh you know elite size or athleticism So uh you know you’re hoping he could just be like a really elite drop big like you know I’m not saying he’s going to be Brook Lopez but that’s kind of the archetype you would ideally have him occupy uh that sort of a three a deep center but everything else offensively is great Like I think he would fill a huge role for this Pistons team pretty instantly Uh you know especially just given that they kind of lack that spacing at the five Uh I’m a fan Like I don’t think he’s going to be there at 37 but if so or if there’s a way you could you know maybe give up a future second and move up a few spots to get him then like I say it’s worthwhile The the thing I’ll say about moving up to get him is they like they moved up to get Marcus Sasser a couple years ago and like while I think Marcus Sasser has been like like he’s been about what you could expect for the 25th 26 in the draft like that player has not been like hugely valuable again like no rotation minutes in the playoffs Um and so like do you want to again like are you expending assets to get something that’s like again like only going to play up during the regular season It’s like do you really want to be doing that It’s like we could use these assets for something else Okay Yeah No that’s a great point because I think more so than like do they where let’s just say where they they play the board Traan knows exactly where he needs to move to He plays it perfectly to draft Maxim Renault Let’s not even worry about whether that’s 25th or 29th or 36th right Like we just know that Trajan knows where he has to get to What are you willing to give up to go get Maxim Renault Like forget anything else One second round pick two second round picks the affforementioned Marcus Sasser like what what would you be willing to give up to go grab Maxim Renault Yeah I think I think you can you can give away future seconds because you can always find future seconds Like somebody somewhere has always got some second rounders for you if you like really need them So yeah I’ I’d think if you really wanted to move up to like 32 and give up like uh some future seconds in the next two years like I think that’s something I’d be fine with Yep I’m there as well I want to get out real quick on these and then we’ll come in We’ll let Amari talk about restaurants and make people mad Uh Keith Black Trudeau says “I’m at the point at 37 I just want the most fun player available.” And to me that’s probably Hansen Yang Uh Keith I literally broke down Hansen Yang film today That will be on the substack next week And that dude can pass and not move very much but he is fun Uh quick Daron says “Uh stretch fours Bogga Marovic.” Yeah uh that is a guy I’d be interested at 37 Uh real floor spacer and shooter is Marovich out of KK Mega That’s where Nicoolola Topic started last season before he moved to Red Star Mr Ray Adu Thiero Drake Pal Video breakdowns over on the substack of those guys Diero is like super athletic kind of gives me Hamadoo Dio vibes but maybe he fills out the jumper or is just better defensively than what Hamadoo Dio was Drake Pal is the younger kind of prospect that I think really defends Can he find the jumper And then YouTube user says “Trade up and get Fleming I’m a big fan You can’t mention Rashier Fleming to me because I love Rashier Fleming Uh Ryan Cochrinter I am a little lower on Ryan Cochrinter You guys have any quick thoughts on Cochrinter O2 or last Have you guys got any of film of him or anything No pressing thoughts I would that Yeah I don’t want to talk Bryce I I did my homework I did not do extra credit Okay that’s that is fair 100% across the board We are going to break When we come back Omari is going to talk about something I don’t know what Probably a bad food take And then Wes is going to come on to play sheet or sham We’ll get into that right after this All right we’re back with segment three and we’re going to play sheet and sham Except I just I I really want to get Laza stall So this I want to get Bryce’s too but I don’t know if he’s going to play along But like it just bugged me I’m like I was at a restaurant last week that committed both of these sins All right Name and shame Which restaurant So the first one uh it was updorf Like you’ll probably never go there Like it was way up in Paskki But uh the first one when a restaurant advertises wings and it is like do you expect like a full wing or do you expect half of a wing Like if it’s just wings to me that should always be a full wing You should never be like we have wings and it’s like you order six wings but it’s just like six half wings A wing should be a full wing That’s a wing ding It’s like like it’s only flats or like it’s only drums or like Yeah What’s a full wing I don’t understand the question Like you like a full wing like you go to the grocery store and you buy a wing and it has the drum and the flat and the tip all attached I disagree But when you go to a restaurant and you order wings like it’s never the full wing Like you’ll be like I want six wings but it’s like it’s really only three wings because they gave you three drums and they gave you three flats and they call that six But to me that’s like that’s false advertising So this place was like we have like big wings and I’m like okay well big wings like that’s probably you know a full wing They have big drums No big drums and big flats but no actual full w like to me that’s to me that’s false advertising Like like where are you in this Like when you go to a restaurant do you expect like wings Do you expect a full wing It depends on the restaurant actually like no Normally I expect drums at a restaurant Like I uh I feel like drums are the more like aesthetically pleasing of the wings Like don’t like I eat both Like do not get me wrong Do not mistake me I eat both But uh yeah like I I expect drums But yeah Yeah my dad came in with good I think it’s fair I think gave a caveat here that it said traditional wings Yeah it said traditional wings So you ordered six traditional wings You’re probably thinking like a full chicken wing You’re not thinking uh like a flat or just a drum You’re thinking a full wing if it’s traditional right No If I hear traditional I’m thinking that means bone in No but they No like they’re all bone in though Yeah They like they like like we’re not talking about uh boneless wings We’re talking about talking about big nuggets Yeah No we’re not talking about nuggets Like we’re talking about drums and flats versus it all being connected like a full piece So So I got uh like I I hear what you’re saying though Like I don’t expect it but like I don’t think I’d be disappointed not getting a full wing either I would just be like “Okay this place like only has flats.” Like okay sure Like I guess but also like I don’t go I don’t know I don’t get wings all that often from places I like I eat wings I’m I’m a wing guy but like I don’t know You go to places and get burgers right Especially like you’re you’re up in Paskki you’re on vacation like you’re on the beach or whatever taking in the sights Like that’s that’s burger opportunity for me All right What’s your second thing Okay maybe this one will be right The second like this is more of a pet peeve but whenever you go to like a restaurant and like Yeah like a a burger spot and you know they’ll do like you order a burger comes with chips If you want fries it’s like an extra four bucks or whatever Uh like why is there always an upcharge for the fries And who and who are these people who prefer plain potato chips over fries Like to me that’s just like if you want to charge like an extra $4 for the entry to charge extra four bucks Why are you So I’m I’m glad we’re gonna get Wes on in a minute because I’m sure that’s an economic thing right Like fries fries probably cost way more to make and like it’s all potatoes though They come from the same potato It’s just a different size or they’re coming in like a huge bag But sometimes they do like homemade chips like they’ll serve homemade chips but the fries are more expensive though you But you know those chips are homemade They can call them homemade chips but you know those chips came off the back of Cisco truck right Well more than likely but a lot of times they’ll be like “Yeah like homemade kettle chips you know.” Uh yes Peanut Barrel and East Lancing does have good burgers uh from Andrew Callas does commit this sin They’re like “Panut Peanut Barrel does have good burgers though.” Yeah Yeah Like their fries like an extra four or five bucks So it’s like “But I don’t even want chips.” like you know like could you just take the chips off and then replace it with the fries So Wes this is definitely an e an economics thing right Like fries have got to be way more expensive I don’t know Probably I I’d want to know how many people pay for the upcharge That’s what I’d be curious with How many people are paying to go get Like is that everybody Is it a small group That’d be important to know That’s me Wait so Oari so like philosophically you disagree with it but you still paid the upcharge Stand on your principles Because the thing is I don’t want the the chips Like he order like he give me these chips and it’s like well I’m ordering the burger but I’m a fries with it But it’s just but why are the chips even there Like to me that’s like a loss leader to get you to order It’s like how Apple has like the the 64 tier storage They’re trying to force you to upgrade to like the 256 for the longest cuz like 64 like did not suffice two years ago I think it’s like 128 now But that like that’s what it is Like you don’t want the bottom tier You want the middle tier YouTube user got the power move Pull that up for me Wes I’m sorry The way it goes with double patty and not get chips or fries Like that that get behind that for sure Yeah that that that is a power move I’ve never tried that but like I I got to add that one to the repertoire for sure Yeah Can we play cheater sham We can absolutely play cheater sham Let’s go We we we can But I do have to qualify that the first question here is actually supposed to be a tiebreaker from the last time we attempted to play shooter sham and you guys tied So like let’s we’ll have all three of you guys answer Well I’m just gonna you know rate you guys on all three So whoever of the two of you finishes higher on this I don’t want to win like that Bryce it it’ll count for double It’ll it’ll count for both is how the first one’s gonna go It’ll count for both But for the refresher all right we are the reason this is important by the way is for the overall series Amari Bryce you guys are tied six and six Like Bryce you had a big comeback here over for the lives Yeah So we we got to settle We got to settle Hey Oh hold on No no no no We’re going to be in V Vegas together in a month So let’s put let’s put it on it Supper Okay O2 Supper Okay Yeah Let’s do it Let’s do it Come on Let’s do it All right Come on Okay Well then I’ve never I’ve never been on the hook for supper in my life I’ve done Denver I’ve never done Supper This will do it for me Let’s do it Sheet is true Sham is false Guys remember you can’t phone the chat if you really want to Otherwise you have to come to Kansas to get the payoff if I win because we only eat supper in Kansas Man you’re adding on to the bet I don’t know No no I’m joking Okay Sorry Wes My bad Go ahead My bad My bad My bad You’re good You’re good Who which of you wants wants the answer first I will Okay All right Bryce you’re going first This one’s for you The Pistons did play a nine-man rotation in the playoffs as you three know Uh we’ll go Bryce Omari then you bring up the rear here Uh only Sheeters Sham Only one of those nine players averaged less than one turnover per game in the playoffs Only one averaged less than one turnover Yes that’s the question Sham I’m going seed I’m also going she is sham So nobody did Everybody who played regular rotation minutes in the playoffs averaged more than a turnover per game I was going to say did it sher probably averaged like 0.8 or something Did like I didn’t get the question right I won and got the it wasn’t even the right process I I was thinking like I was thinking like P Reid put up like less than a turnover per game in his like six minutes a night I think I misunderstood the question You said wait you said that more than one person I said only one Only one of the nine And the answer is not even So it could be it could I was Yeah I was thinking two average less than one Oh you were going the other way Gotcha That’s what I said Yeah I failed Chile says it right I failed successfully Very s I failed into a free meal at I don’t know We ate in a pretty good spot last year We got to change it up every year We ain’t going to the place where you have to cook the meat yourself That you know what my pet peeve is Cooking the meat yourself on the table Korean Korean barbecue It’s Korean barbecue Korean barbecue It’s delicious I go to a restaurant for someone to cook for me and I will pay whatever they charge me that it says on the menu regardless of the upcharge but I will not cook my own food If you go with I will take you to Korean barbecue and I will make the meat for you How about that No that’s the problem is like I love you LZ I don’t know that I trust you to cook it correctly I cooked it successfully It was delicious Everybody ate It was full of merry Sure All right let’s get to the game All right you owe me something All right next question Uh Omari this one we’ll have you go first then last then Bryce We’ll just keep rotating that order Uh Sheeed or Sham this season Jaylen Dur and Assar Thompson both were assisted on 62% of their two-point field goal uh makes Jaylen Duran and Assar Thompson both Yeah Wait wait Are you saying exactly 62 or 62 like 62 or greater wi within a rounding error of 62 Oh okay I’m going to go seed I’m going to go sham I’m going to go Sheed It is Sheed So uh they were like 0.004 apart They were both basically 62% of all their makes Wow Uh were assisted Assar though he did shoot a couple of three-pointers so 100% of his threes were were assisted which yeah that that makes sense Our guy Sean is struggling a little bit here in the chat with the game That’s okay Sean I’m I’m 0 for two too Sean So you know we’re down here together You stop trying to answer the question You just have to try to read Wes Like the the whole game is reading Wes and and the question he’s asking I don’t know Bryce That was Amari’s original strategy and you’ve caught up to him Unless you’re saying you just got better at reading me for the questions Uh I got lucky is what I got as we found out on the tiebreaker question So all right There it is What we got next All right next one Um okay Cade Cunningham finished last season top 10 in the NBA for points scored in the paint per game Regular season last year Yeah regular season top Are we talking so per game Not total but per game Per game Per game Per game Oh Okay Actually that that does change my answer because I was I was thinking total So I’m gonna go I’m gonna go Sheed I’m also going She I am going to go Sam It is Sheed He was actually tied for ninth He and Carl Anthony Towns 12.8 points in the paint per game I mean my initial my initial thought was there was more to the question Like I thought you were saying Kade Cunningham was top 10 in the NBA in points per game in the paint and then you were going to add something else on top of it So I was like immediately going she keeping it simple I love it Yeah All right Uh next one Here we go Uh Jaylen Dur This one’s talking about contested rebounds We we’re now getting into the I just found some fun funky stats on a basketball reference and these were these were just fun Uh but okay So Jaylen Durn had the highest contested rebound percentage on the team last year per NBA.com She or Sham Laz you’re first Bryce jumped the gun What did you say I think No Bryce was first this time because I was first last time Oh I said sham I said shame Shame Omari Can you repeat the question Oh my god Who led the team in contested rebounds last year If you don’t think No no Jaylen Duran led the team in contested rebound percentage last year the sheet sham Did you think it was Duran or not Uh yeah I’m going to go see I’m gonna go Sham So it’s Sham Uh it was actually Paul Reed Paul Reed at 47.2% But you know credit to Paul He’s pretty short Almost all of his rebounds are going to be contested Number two was that Jaitlyn Duran I say no I also said no Yeah it was actually Assar As a SAR Yeah JD by seeing that JD grabs a lot of Carmelo Anthony like get out of here This is my rebound rebounds Yep I love Again you you guys don’t know Wes well enough I I you got to know Wes I’m just happy I snapped the over streak Honestly you had two You had two What’s the score now You’ve gotten two right now Les Uh all right The score is Bryce you’ve won Uh so you’ve gotten four correct Omar’s gotten one correct and Less has gotten two correct So you’re going to take You only have You only have one question We I’ve got one more Um there are a couple more that are related to the last one that we could do if we want that are just kind of again fun No no Let’s do one and then and then I’ll win and then we can have fun Okay Okay Sounds good All right Uh Omari I think this one’s yours So of the regular rotation players on the Pistons last season Simone Fonteio on average is the fastest moving Piston That is his average speed and his minutes on the court was the fastest for all Pistons players Sham sham Sham Assar and Ivy are on the team Like that’s impossible It It better not be right Sham All shams It’s It’s sheed It’s actually It’s correct He is He moved the fastest in all of his minutes Even Even if you sorted out Even if you sort it out on offense or defense So the fastest offensive player was Simony Fontio The fastest defender was Ron Holland and then Tech was like right behind him Unreal He’s just sprinting out there Sean had access I’m sorry I have to put the respect to your name Paul’s jump shot looks like Barkley’s golf swing I love it Um amazing Okay so I won I have a two twoame lead on O2 now Yeah one Yep I love it You got the All right let’s do some fun ones They were all just again related to the speed So there’s one of them with the offense defense but slowest defender Who was that Just open questions The slowest Who is the slowest defender on average Tobias Tobias Tobias Cade Cunningham Amari See the thing is like how exactly is the speed on defense being measured I mean speed is a pretty simple equation No it’s not It’s not a simple equation There are so many different directions you have to move in defensively Nope No How fast are you going in those directions That’s a different equation That those are literally different equations Speed is very much very simple Miles per hour is how I always teach my students Remember it Miles is a distance Hour is a time Distance divided by time That’s all speed is I mean he was just teach physics if I remember right I’m gonna go TSJ TJ It was Cade It was Kade Nice Yeah Fastest defender was Ron Holland which makes sense but okay Slowest offensive player So Tech was the fastest right Who was the slowest I’m going with Tobias again Tobias has to be the answer somewhere here All right Tobias I’m going to go Sasser Okay Sasser Okay Slowest offensive player I’m gonna go I’m going to go Duran Dur This was the only one Okay Go ahead Sorry No go ahead I was just gonna say this was the only one I thought made made sense visually to me Uh Isaiah Stewart was was sure Okay that’s right He’s not doing too many sudden movements on offense He’s just kind of in his spots Yeah Yeah I was thinking Sassar like isolates a lot and so he was probably like standing around a lot Yeah I was thinking Duran just with the sense of like he’s mostly operating in a dunker spot but he does also occasionally have you know some drives to the rim here and there The rim runs probably helps his overall average out Runs probably helps Yeah All right A couple guys uh YouTube user brings up Bobby Clipman Uh I did qualify this with regular rotation players Oh So Bobby Cleman was not included Actually I can’t say if Marcus Sasser for sure was in or not so I probably shouldn’t have accepted that answer because I did not count him as a as a regular rotation player I think it’s fair to not count Sasser as a regular rotation player Yeah I don’t I don’t know if he hit a thousand minutes this year And that’s generally like my like baseline on like whether or not you’re like in the rotation or not especially when you’re healthy for most for the entire season right Um and you don’t get those So he played 810 So all right Half Mr Ray says half a point So I’m up 8 to6 overall I will now be keeping track of this I lost track when I was down like six to one Omari is buying me supper on the Las Vegas strip Uh we’ll make sure to send pictures of that so you guys can all judge my food choices versus his food choices Who picks the restaurant Yeah I was going to say like the appar Bryce doesn’t like Korean barbecue Like it’s going to be a thing about like which restaurant you guys are going to go to I will I will let you pick O2 You can pick you can pick where we eat So tell me about any allergies or just any like I’m not eating dats Um no You know like you you know this like you you when I came to Detroit that one time you took us to the one spot that uh real bad fair Yeah That I’d never eaten that type of food before It was so It was really good So I’m I’m all about you pushing my horizons in the food stuff All right That place is on my list I haven’t been there yet but that place is on my list Just it it truly was like Randy and I both were there for that one and and we both really really liked it So uh Wes thank you so much Good stuff Uh make sure you’re checking out Wes and Blake Silverman on the pin down on the Detroit Bad Boys YouTube channel Laz I mean you’re just one of us at this point I hope that’s okay If we claim you we appreciate you Let people know what you got going on where they can find you what you what you got I I got nothing going on uh right now Uh but you should as always check out Detroit Bad Boys which is my my home where all of my Pistons news You should check out Bryce Simon’s Motor City Hoops Substack Uh you should check out Cuckoo Hills uh Substack I forget what Coup named his Substack It was some like Coup pun I think But Coup has actually done some really good work on the season reviews uh into season stuff for the Pistons players that he’s put out so far I’ve really enjoyed those And then uh yeah shout out Harry and the Order of the Blazing Horse as well Amari take it away my guy All right Uh big thanks to our audio producer Robin Chan Uh thanks to our editor Chief Nico Avery Dickles and big shout out to West Davenport as always man We’ll talk to you all next week
