good morning it’s wednesday here at wager talk tv i’m jesse shul and today we’re talking major league baseball we’re going to have a look at the new york yankees taking on the kansas city royals uh we did give you a winner yesterday with the washington nationals as an underdog in the first five innings i did mention that we didn’t like the nats for the full game because their bullpen stinks that turned out to be quite prophetic no matter we cash in our ticket withnat’s first five we’ll look to do that again here with the big bad bronx bombers coming in as a minus 122 favorite total sitting at nine at kaufman stadium and the first thing we’re going to do is have a look at the weather report 90 degrees in kansas city today 10 mile hour winds blowing out the weatherman says in the warm air the ball could carry well we could see several home runs in this game and uh that is interesting to say the least we got chris bubick going for the royals you look at his numbers and they really jump off the page 5 and3 with a 1.43 erra and a 1.0 whip and those are sai young type numbers but uh chris pubic isn’t exactly a guy you think of putting up numbers like that so i had to sort of rub my eyes a little bit and say “is this kid for real?” and i got to say you look at his recent performances nine strikeouts in three of his last four starts his numbers are even better at home 2-2 with a 1.38 erra uh in five home starts and you know is he going to be able to keep that up the entire season probably not maybe not but you don’t step in front of a hot pitcher and you don’t step in front of a hot team in my opinion uh despite the fact that the yankees have clobbered them over a limited sample size hitting 312 over 48 at bats in previous meetings versus chris bubick i do have a plan how to attack this game and uh it doesn’t involve the side but we’re going to talk about that before we do i got to tell you about a promotion we have available right now at wager talk.talk.com for a limited time you can get my cfl entire season absolutely free with a purchase of my full season football package that gets you college football and nfl football for the entire season just 777 bucks but only myself is offering the cfl for free with that package because i’m the number one cfl handicapper at wager talk since 2020 off to a one-on-one start after week one but we’re looking forward to making some money on the grid iron this summer uh let’s get back into the game though uh the yankees will send clark schmidt to the mound he is uh the back end of their rotation two and three with a 4.04 ra and a 1.29 whip schmidt on the road two-2 with a 4.79 erra in four starts you look at these two teams bullpens both above average u so no real advantage for either team there i i will say it does look like they have the wrong team favored here if i was going to play a side i’d be rolling with kansas city as the home dog not going to do that though i’m going to look at kansas city’s team total because the yankees are the road favorite here kansas city’s team total is a little lower and i’m going to lean into what the weatherman says about the ball carrying in the warm air and i i think clark schmidt is not the kind of guy to overcome such weather conditions and i think the royals get to at least four runs in this game so the play is going to be on kansas city team total over three and a half if you like this video smash that like button subscribe to the channel and if you got anything to say to me even if it’s nasty you hit me up in the comments below and i will get back to you as soon as i can
