welcome back to Braw Sports Talk I’m Chris your favorite stat reader And we have the Panthers hosting the Oilers And the Oilers are plus 125 on the money line The Panthers are minus 150 The overunder is 6 1/2 goals The Oilers getting a goal and a half on the puck line are minus 205 Meaning if you bet them that way and they win this game outright you win They lose by one you win And the Panthers laying a goal and a half on the puck line are plus 164 meaning if you bet them that way they have to win by two goals or more Now these are the overnight odds They’re going to change the closer we get to game number four I believe it’s on Thursday We’re one power play away from this being a three nothing series and the Panthers looking to sweep and repeat However we are where we are right now Head-to-head the Panthers are 6-4 against the Oilers in their last 10 meetings The Panthers have beaten them the last two times they played them The home team is 6-4 The favorite is 6-4 on the money line However the underdog getting a goal and a half on the puck line is 7 and3 There have been six one-goal games in their last 10 meetings Game number three was not one of them The over is hit in their last five The over is 9 and one And the over at 6 and 1/2 goals is 8 and2 Unfortunately for the Oilers missing Heyman is coming back to to haunt them right now and the fact that they aren’t as physically gifted as the Panthers are and their goalending has been a liability all season I’ve said this in every one of my videos that they need to score four goals a game to win If they don’t score four goals a game typically they don’t win It just seems to be the way that it is Now in their last three games against each other specifically which were all the playoff games the Panthers are 2- is 3-0 The Panthers are averaging five goals a game to the Oilers averaging three goals a game And as I said four is their lucky number to win The Oilers are out shooting the Panthers 42 to35 over those games The Panthers have had five power play goals to the Oilers three The Panthers have had 17 power plays to the Oilers 16 The Panthers are scoring on 29% of their power plays The Oilers are only scoring on 19% of their power plays Case in point I said the goalending advantage Uh the Oilers are killing off 71% of the Panthers power plays The Panthers are killing off 81% of the Oilers Much like in other sports where you can say in football defense wins championships and in baseball it’s pitching in hockey it’s goalending You get the hot goalie and he’s not even playing at his best Game three was the best game that Broski’s played all series Um and the Panthers won cuz the first two were overtime games four to three The Oilers won then the Panthers won five to four in overtime and then the Panthers absolutely annihilated the Oilers in game number three six to one Um I’m not I’ve said this earlier I think this series goes six games The Panthers will probably win I think that they’re going to win game number four at home and uh take a commanding series lead and then the Oilers are not going to choke on home ice and it’ll send it back to Florida where they’ll win the cup again But I’m going to take the Panthers on the money line I will take the Panthers laying the goals and I’m going to go over it Just seems like when they play them in Florida or just when the Panthers play at home they’re a different animal in the playoffs Uh they beat the Oilers 6 to1 They lost three nothing to the Hurricanes division matchup They won 6-2 It just seems like when they you know when they win they dominate whoever they play at home Now these are just my picks If you disagree please go with your gut
