reaction show with me Jake Rema what do we got going on for today’s show how about another series win and as I mentioned TKO does it again terooel seven scoreless he has been incredible this entire season but how about the numbers over his last four starts we’ll go over that we’ll also discuss the offense that we saw from the Detroit Tigers in the fourth inning that’s all the Tigers needed when you got Teroo on the mound and of course I’ll have our biggest talking point our turning point and our player of the game so come one come all and let’s enjoy another victorious locked on Tigers postcast because once again it’s a series win for the Tigers if you take out the series split from Chicago and look ahead to minus that four-game series then obviously the one series that they lost to the Cleveland Guardians the Tigers have won seven of their last eight series so great stuff all the way around let’s begin with our biggest turn talking point and when you got Terrace Scubble on the mound I think we all know where we’re going with this one this is what you’ll be talking about all right it’s at the point now where TKO is even perhaps being even more impressive than what we saw in his Sai Young last year okay it’s it’s it’s that good i mean TKO seven more scoreless innings let’s just get into his final line i get so excited talking about how good he has been but he gets the win he’s seven and two seven scoreless just the three hits did not give up a run struck out six walked two 94 pitches i thought he might get sent back out there uh for the eighth inning but you know we had Tommy Kanley for that which by the way we don’t we’ll get into that at a later point in in the show but for Terubble he uh you look at the 98 pitches my apologies so I was off by a couple but what another performance from TKO how about this for his last four starts last four starts this is crazy 30 innings 30.2 so 30 and 2/3 one earned run over his last four starts in 30 and 2/3 innings a 0.29 RA 32 strikeouts compared to two walks that’s just insane 32 strikeouts compared to two walks in 30 and two/3 innings one earned run over the course of that time just absolutely insane from TK Scubble that’s who we’re talking about and listen when we talked about it last night it wasn’t a great night last night you had to go out and figure out a way to go get a dub and who better to hand the ball to than TKO and the way that he and give Carrie Carpenter some credit with making that incredible catch early in the game and I know guys go up uh with an aggressive mindset against Terrick Scubel swinging at early in counts and there were some hard hit balls early but when he settles out settles down there’s nobody like him in all of baseball and there’s some great pitchers in Major League Baseball and you know there’s guys that can completely dominate a game and I’ll take I’ll put my money on Ter Scubble compared to anybody i mean what we’ve seen and not just the last 30 and two/3s like we alluded to but just the body of work over the last two years there’s just nobody like him an absolute stud and how about this Tigers team i mean back to 20 games over 500 the win today putting the Tigers at 45 and 25 22 and 16 on the road and you get to come back and come back and play at Com Park you heard him talking about it on the broadcast only standing room seats or standing room tickets only is what’s available it’s going to be a packed house at Como Park for the Cincinnati Reds looking forward to that but let’s get into some of your comments on a live locked on Tigers post zingad leads us off scooble is a stud pay the man not more than eight years though wish the offense would start clicking soon yeah if we’re going to be concerned about something um you know as we do sometimes the offense sure just the two home runs for the entire offense um tonight and the all the runs coming in the fourth inning but again I I just I I don’t want to spend a lot of time complaining or even you know expressing concern when the team’s 20 games over 500 i mean it is difficult to put together that type of start and I’m not saying there aren’t weaknesses on this team because we know that there are and you’d like to see the offense perform at a more consistent level sure but man the my takeaway tonight is just this Tigers team is for real when Terrace Scubals got the ball there’s not a lot of teams that can beat this Tigers team all right Demetrius McNeel is up next remember what I said about the Tigers will be featured on Sunday Night Baseball they got it it’s June 29th yeah very good programming update there appreciate that Demetrius tigers host the Twins i predict Scubble will pitch that game how good is he tonight so so good the Dole Spoon says “Did someone let the Tigers get hot?” They are playing that way dale 10game on base streak for Torque there you go pointing out the positives of Spencer Torqulson and and listen I you know many different episodes when you’re on night in and night out you’re going to talk about the improvements that Spencer Tolson makes um and and it wasn’t like he had a great night tonight but he does draw the one walk um 0 for three aside from that with the one strikeout but hey 10 consecutive games getting on base that’s what you asked for from Spencer Tolson brilland Dennis saying the bats finally woke up today they did for the fourth inning we’ll say that and Jason Walter is up next pay the man pizza boy i love it that’s a great comment from Jason Walter and if you look at the marquee or the the uh graphic board on the side there I have that in all caps if you’re watching on YouTube pay the man and and I understand some people only want eight eightyear deal um but with Scott Boris as the agent listen I think uh there’s going to be some teams that are willing to pay the man for 10 more years and if that’s the cost of doing business so be it like Jason Walter said sell some more pizzas there vincent saying the same thing give Google the check already that’s what I think we could just leave tonight’s episode as just pay the man give him the check and uh let’s get on to you know whatever is next because Terrick Scubel needs to be a Detroit Tiger for life i mean whatever it takes i think I feel that way everybody else feels that way now can Chris Illich and Scott Boris Derek Schubel’s agent get it done all right let’s give some credit to Parker Meadows three-run dinger appreciate that from Brilland Tennis stewart is up next got to make school the highest paid pitcher he’s getting more expensive by the pitch yeah just get it done now that’s a great point from Stuart there you know what are we waiting for just get it done get it done get it done pay trick Scoo that’s all you have to do all right zinder says “Thank goodness for the two big swings torres Keith Green Torque Karp 0 for 16.” Yeah they struggled there’s no doubt about it they struggled but that’s the great thing about the way this Detroit Tigers team is constructed and as the best team in baseball I believe there’s a lot of proof in this construction of a roster that you have the ability of some depth guys to step up some role players that can be the guys on a night in and night out basis and tonight it’s Dylan Dingler and Parker Meadows and what did we talk about last night how much Parker Meadows is struggling at the plate and maybe this is the confidence boost that he needs didn’t love what I saw from Tommy Canley giving up the home run and then the walk now he did induce a couple of ground balls and eventually get out of it loved what we saw from Will Vest to um shut the door in the ninth and sure that up i know he gave up a home run in the first win the Tigers got against the Orioles but uh that’s his 12th save of the year two strikeouts in a nice ninth inning there all right Mark asking me “Did you Jake did you hear the podcast where Scooble said he’d signed for 10 years 425 million?” I did pardon my take uh one of my I’m a regular listen there i think Big Cat and PFT are incredible um they’re some of the most talented sports media hosts in the entire business they do it their own way and they’re trailblazers so I listen to a lot of episodes especially when Terrick Skooles was on talked about it quite a bit last night um or two nights ago whenever it was um but I did mention it and I did think that uh yeah if four or 10 years 425 million is what gets it done sign the papers Chris Illich get it done it’s that simple i don’t want to do the oh you can’t invest in a guy that only can you know go seven innings and uh you know is there concerns and so forth i I I don’t think you overthink this one terrick Scooble needs to be a Detroit Tiger for life the dude says “Watching Scooble is mustwatched TV.” Literally history happening in real time that’s what we used to say about Justin Verlander must see JV uh my buddy Jeffer and I were talking about that is when has Scooble or has Scooble gotten to the point that Verlander has where no matter what when Scooble or when Verlander was starting you stopped what you were doing you watched that Tigers game and I think that’s how it is with TK Scubble because he is that good all right I appreciate all of the comments because you guys are the best that’s what makes the Lockdown Tigers post so much fun to do is I’ve made this joke probably far too many times on this postcast but the Tigers won this game when Terubel took the mound i mean that’s that simple right when you give him the ball you win the game but uh no this game turned in the fourth obviously the Tigers able to um put together four runs with a couple of long balls and listen I understand the offense wasn’t great tonight but you you get uh a solo shot from Dylan Dingler with one out the bases empty and Zach McKinster just continuing to do the Lord’s work and uh one of the best war players in all of baseball jav Bayas gets on with a single so you got two on for Parker Meadows and what a time for him to really make a statement at the plate and I kind of joked but I I I mean this 100% seriously that you know it only takes one swing like that to all of a sudden start feeling confident at the plate and a three-run homer in a 4-1 game obviously a pivotal pivotal swing for the Tigers perhaps is what gets Parker Meadows going so that’s your turning point it also turns when TK’s on the bump all right coming up next the Tigers return to Com Park and will take on the Cincinnati Reds lots of fun stuff planned over the weekend if you’re heading out to Com Park you got to let me know and I believe it is um a packed house over all three games standing rooms standing room tickets are only what’s available jack Flity is going to more comments here we got Gary Meyers i was going to say the first pitch Scooble threw was the turning point gary Myers and I on the same page i absolutely love it brilland Dennis Jones continues to impress of course he does jamaiah Jones love that r1 VJ4 i was watching JK Simmons on Orioles broadcast true Tigers fan yeah that’s that’s a good point yeah jk Simmons coming in there and joined the booth with the um Tigers guy with Benetti and Peaches and all of a sudden he was the good luck charm so there there you go um and it’s cool whenever you whenever you have a public figure a famous actor like that that’s always repping Detroit and always uh you know an ambassador for the team that’s that’s awesome stuff so okay I appreciate everybody tuning in we’ve got Tigers and Reds tomorrow night and obviously if you’re watching on YouTube you see my backdrops a little bit different traveling this weekend for some um wedding touring stuff venue touring I guess is a better way to put it
