Cardinals vs. Brewers Game Highlights (6/14/25) | MLB Highlights

jose Kintana and coming off a good start against San Diego last time out and as Vinnie mentioned in our open just trying to keep this ball rolling here with excellent pitching from the starting pitchers yeah the starters have really been the story so far since May 18th and Jos Katana has been a big part of that all set to go as Kintana is ready to work against Mason Win the leadoff hitter today line into center and a good start mason win with a two strike hit and the lead off man on for the Cardinals his first knock of this series and Ivon Herrera is next and he loses Herrera a single and a walk sets it up for Alec Berles and he does up the middle there’s a base hit mason win around third gets the green light there’ll be no throw at the plate the throw comes to third and that’s late pat Murphy is going to ask these umpires to check that call at third oh that is on a line on a fly and got him right on that right hip before the foot touched the bag it’s going to be a big first out for the Brewers after review the call to go with overturn the runner is out and it’s the first out of the inning so now you’re a ground ball away from getting out of the inning wilson Contras is the hitter the Cardinals and a strike out nasty sinker tailing away from Wilson Contraras and it’s the first out at the plate for Kintana out number two of the inning sounded like it was off the end of the bat cheerio is there to make the play and minimal damage andre Palante is ready to go his 14th start palante starts action brad 43 a 475 RA and coming off an improved start last time out against the Blue Jays yeah it was here’s how he’s going about it the pitch arsenal for Andre Palante a lot of that four seam slider sinker and knuckle curve for him and Sal Freelick continues his run as the Brewers leadoff hitter three hits in game one had two hits last night now he’s got an opening walk here in the first inning and there he goes big jump swinging a miss throw to second is on the money yeah you cannot drop the knee and umpires he’s definitely safe but did he come off he did come off actually and Gorman kept the the tag on him but the knee is in front of the base and that’s textbook obstruction and that’s what the umpires are looking for left-handed batter against Andre Palante yelich has gone two for eight a homer a couple of RBI’s and he has struck out once facing Palante swing and a miss palante heats him up with a four seamer two strikeouts in the inning leaving Freelick at third second inning in Milwaukee cardinals have a one- nothing lead good to have Jordan Walker back he was dealing with a sore wrist and his first pitch of the day is served into right field like that approach for Walker a base hit cardinals have three singles today has this one on the ground the other way pah has inside out swing walker will stop at second and the Cardinals have two on and nobody out two soft hits but we will take as many of those as Kintana wants to give us trying to slow things down with Scott it was one out of two with a walk and a hit by pitch in this series full count with one away scott takes a called strike three kintana burns off the edge with a slur oliver Marl was steamed after Victor Scott was rung up on a pitch that was low but give Vic Kapaza some credit he let Ali have his say and did not toss him i thought he handled this as well as he possibly could absolutely gave Ali some time not happy about that obviously not happy about the way things have been going as of late palante just struck out the side four in a row striking out Brewer batters five overall for Palante it’s one- nothing St louis william Contrarus the only better to put one in play and now Durban joins him but Aronado with a 5-3 put out and Durban and Contrarus collide durban hits the deck brewers dugout has given it to Wilson Contrarus a little bit i mean he steps right into the baseline that’s right i mean that’s on you Wilson reese Hoskins is giving Wilson an earful one- nothing Cardinals top of the fourth inning so the first two have reached and the Cardinals have set themselves up here in the fourth inning as Jordan Walker comes to the plate chopper toward third tricky hop high throw it’s off the glove a run will score aronado comes home gorman on his way to third walker to second and the Cardinals get a big break it’s two to nothing and now he’ll come after the number nine hitter Victor Scott to second and a shot to left that’s going to get down for a base hit that’s going to score two victor Scott II with a big hit the other way and the Cardinals have a three spot here in the fourth inning well Vic had an RBI single last night picks it up again here goes the other way with a sinker from Kintana and drives in a pair nice job we go to the bottom of the fourth inning st louis with a 4 nothing lead jackson Cheerio will lead things off for the crew cheerio rifles one into the gap right center it’s going to go to the wall cheerio on his way to second thinking three here he goes throw to third not in time a triple for Cheerio there’s a start right there trying to whittle away that four-run lead by the Cardinals and Jackson Cheerio leads off this fourth inning with a rocket on the slider swing and a miss palate has struck out his sixth man contraso for two today there’s one away now for Christian Yell and that one’s a strike and here comes Cheerio and he’s safe wow cheerio Brewers finally get one on the board i just I just got done talking about the instincts that this kid has on the bases and he’s showing them off right here that ball gets away from him he has the angle to see how far away that gets away from Pah and that is a pass ball and Jackson Churio is off and slides it hard at home and that’s how you do it swing and a miss gets Yell for the second time and Palante’s evened his season high with his seventh strikeout we go to the fifth inning here at American Family Field the Cardinals with a 4 to one lead and Contras hit by a pitch he’s going to go grab the baseball here and he’s going to hand it to Kintana and tapped him on the shoulder and so a message sent by Milwaukee here let’s see if that’s going to result in a warning it is couple of freebies doled out by Jos Kintana and he may be getting towards the end of his role swing and a high fly ball belt to deep right center field that baby is way out of here off the scoreboard nolan Gorman has hit a threerun homer and the Cardinals punch back they lead seven to one in the fifth inning this was an absolute bomb off the bat of Nolan Gorman his fourth of the season he has been hot well if you’re thinking about coming back now’s the time to start chip away down by six freelick a base hit it will score two freelick on his way to second throw comes in late it’s a two RBI double and S Freelick stays hot seven to three St louis and he lines that one left center it is down freelick around third he’ll score cheerio gets him again it’s an RBI single and the Brewers starting to churn a little it’s 7 to4 St louis and now Christian Yelich gets an opportunity to hit first pitch swing highf fly ball toward left burley into the corner he slows and he’s got it at the line but the Brewers answer the Cardinals three-run top of the fifth brewers trailing at seven to four durban as a home run run batted in going four for his last 25 durban that’s going to get down a base hit and here we go terra walks durban singles the tying run is coming to the plate again will give Ortiz a chance to hit he is grounded to second base and sacrificed that one hit high in the air left center with a ballpark holding it will a last moment stab by Victor Scott at the wall and that will retire the side it is seven to four St louis it’s the top of the order for the crew selick to lead things off he’s had a good day at the plate freelick into right field and it is over the head of Walker freelick into second base sal Freelick on base again to start an inning three and two and that one’s down and in contrarus draws the walk the tying run is at the plate with two outs here in the bottom of the seventh runners go on the ground to short tricky hop but Mason stayed with that and that will retire the side and the Brewers trail the Cardinals seven to four here comes Jake Bowers as he comes up representing the tying run and that is inside check that swing the bases are loaded selick back to the top of the order swing and a miss three pitches takes care of Freelick that’s the second out breaking ball got him phil Mahon with ice water in his veins jurio strikes out leaving the bases loaded cardinals with a 74 lead they have led from the outset wilson Contrarus is coming up looking for a hit today swing and a high fly ball crushed right center field cheerio going back at the wall that’s gone oh and Contrarus looks back toward the Brewer bench a big insurance home run for the Cardinals who extend their lead it’s 8 to four or Ryan Helley comes into a game that is not a save situation and Contraras turns this one around fair or foul it is hooking it is a fair ball and William matches Wilson and taking his time to get around the bases love it flexing in front of the Cardinal dugout love it showing up his brother as he should as Bryce Terang has been on base three out of the four times today two singles and a walk cardinals fans on their feet down the third base line as Helsley brings her home strike three and the streak is over 85 St louis wins it helley look good contrarus looked good and the Cardinals Brad have a chance to split four games with a victory here tomorrow

  1. OOH YEAH !!!! Everyone around the world, UNDISPUTED Manager of the Year Oliver Jose Marmol and his St. Louis Cardinals (the GREATEST team in the league) are like a SLIM JIM as they SNAP out of their fluke losing streak. It's NO SURPRISE the squad goes 128-34, TAKES the NL Central, MAKES the postseason once again and in four/five months (depending on when the games are in October/November), POURS CHAMPAGNE AND PARTIES with an unprecedented TWELFTH World Series trophy!

Alec Michael Burleson, A TONE-SETTER … In the top of the first inning, the 26-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, gets the offense rolling by SMASHING an RBI single to center field, driving in Masyn Blaze Winn!

In the top of the fourth inning, things got spicy. First, Jordan Alexander Walker, the 23-year-old from Stone Mountain, Georgia, has a SLICK move to drive in Nolan James Arenado! Then, Victor Dwanyne Scott II, the 24-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, BLASTS an RBI single to left field, bringing in Nolan Brian Gorman and J-Walk.

Nolan Brian Gorman, SUPERSTAR MODE !! In the top of the fifth inning, the 25-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona, DEMOLISHES a bomb to center field, scoring a teammate and Nolan James Arenado.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, third baseman and CLEAR-CUT Most Valuable Player of the League Nolan James Arenado, the 34-year-old from Newport Beach, California, makes the #SCTOP10 barehanded throw to a teammate at first base for the out! That PROVES the STL is not only the best offensively, but defensively, too.

In the top of the ninth inning, a teammate hits a home run to center field.

Y'all, GET ON YOUR FEET for Neil Andre Pallante! The 26-year-old from Mission Viejo, California, was HEAVEN with SEVEN godly strikeouts! CAP TIPS go to Kyle Yandow Leahy, Joseph Abel "Jojo" Romero, Phillip Louis Maton and Ryan Dalton Helsley, all part of the best bullpen in the league, for the ROCKHARD defense!

    TIME TO FLY !!!!!!!!!!!!! #12in25 #STLFLY

  2. Marmol finally moved Noot from the lead off. It only took weeks of him struggling. I think Oliver Marmol is one of the worst managers of all time. He couldn’t manage a kids lemonade stand.

  3. People who blame the offense the pitching was the ultimate problem in the blues jays series jays series so blaming offense for that is just so uneducated I understand the first 2 games in series against brewers but you know poo pee doo about the problem was the pitching in the blues jays series jay series not the offense
