The Dallas Cowboys Are OUTSMARTING The NFL… | Cowboys News |
the Green Bay Packers have made a couple of interesting moves heading into the off season we’re about five six weeks away from the start of NFL training camp the Dallas Cowboys have decided to sign former Green Bay Packer quarterback Robert Rashelle and also Birmingham Stallions defensive tackle Perion Wimrey as well um now after the two were part of a trio session they decided “Yeah we need to get these guys in our building ASAP before anyone else does.” Now with that being said they’ve also waved former Auburn and NFL defensive tackle Justin Rodgers and quarterback Luke Barku as well and in this video what I wanted to do is kind of break down exactly what these guys add to the Dallas Cowboys by breaking down their film however before we dive into the video comment down below your expectations about these guys do you think they’ll make the team do you think they’re specifically just guys that are going to fight for a roster spot uh what I do know is Robert Rashelle is a really good special teamer and could fit anywhere on a football team i was actually kind of surprised he wasn’t signed yet and I think this is a really good pickup um so let me know your guys’ opinions down below and with that being said let’s dive into the film now first off let’s talk a little bit about Perion Winfrey this is a guy that is going to be a defensive tackle for them now will he make the team that is in question but uh played a little bit of time in the NFL did move over to um you know a different league not not the NFL and actually played really really well now when he did play for the Cleveland Browns he actually did show a little bit of potential and here’s a play right here eye formation and they’re in 21 personnel two running back set one tight end where they’re going to just hand this thing off to the left he’s more of a two gapper okay so look at this play he’s going to go through an initial double team throw that guy off him right and then be able to disengage off this guy i mean absolute monster of a player on Peron Winfrey you guys need to understand obviously you have OSA right who they just signed you have Solomon Thomas you have Ernest Brown and now you have Perion this is a guy um that is not guaranteed a spot on this football team but man the potential is through the roof another guy I mean when you look at the Dallas Cowboys and what they’ve done this off season they have added a ton of just young high potential versatile type of players payton Turner right you talk about Donovan E the defensive end uh Jack Sandborn Kenneth Murray Kyrie Elon who’s already starting to look like a really good player for them right aon Rimfrey is not much different man he’s got potential to be a really good player here in the NFL i mean look at this this just shocks me every time going through two offensive linemen disengaging and then throwing them in the back field i mean beautiful job right here by Perion one of the major reasons why the Dallas Cowboys said “You know what we need to make this guy a priority we need to sign him on our roster.” Last season the Dallas Cowboys ranked 28th in the NFL so almost dead last when it came to stopping the run they allowed about 4.8 yards per carry they allowed one and a half rushing touchdowns per game and 29th in the NFL again almost dead last in terms of rushing yards allowed per game they could not stop the run to save their lives peron Winfrey specializes in stopping the run here’s another one right hand off up the middle disengages and clogs up that gap right great job again him and a teammate watch this thing one more time so he’s gets to the inside again another double team here rips through fights forward and drives back great job let’s Let’s see his eyes on this play keep his eyes on the back field the entire time i mean it’s a great job man great job disengaging i’m all in on this signing even if he’s a depth addition a guy that can rotate in maybe in the third strength or fourth unit dude having a run stopper like this could be huge massive now before we get any further into this video guys I do ask a big favor make sure you guys hit that like button if you haven’t already done so but most importantly make sure you guys are subscribed to the channel it is free doesn’t cost anything and if you want more Dallas Cowboys updates and film and news and notes throughout the entirety of the offseason and preeason regular season as well make sure you guys join the family guys it doesn’t cost a thing we got you guys covered throughout it all now with that being said I do want to talk a little bit about Robert Rashelle as well but I do have a couple more plays that I do want to break down here for Perryon Winfrey now once again look at this we see essentially 13 personnel if you guys don’t understand personnel essentially that first number whether it’s 21 or if it’s 10 or if it’s 11 that first number is always going to represent the amount of running backs in the back field so we got one running back here and then we have one two three tight ends okay so you got 13 personnel there you go uh that in the these cases you want a lot of guys up here on the box and on the line of scrimmage because they’re most likely going to run the football right so here we go again this is from I believe 2022 this film again he spent some time um outside of the NFL but here’s another run handoff look at Winfrey man always fighting always working always trying to find leverage believe he’s right here okay right here on your football screen i mean first of all gets his guy on the ground right and then boom always so locked in the running back always trying to make a play and he does right here great job by Winfrey once again if it’s a running down put this man in the game the first thing you guys need to notice about Robert Rashelle is the fact that he’s not much of a defender he’s more of just a special teamer but he’s kind of an ace he’s had a lot of big- time plays as a gunner on kickoff on kick return this guy can play in a lot of different spots on special teams and honestly special teams is drastically underrated in terms of how good a football team is able to do right now we have seen some plays where he is on defense and I think that versatility that he could potentially bring now again you guys have to keep in mind I expect him to be a special teamer and that is probably at the most what he’s going to be right um right here you see him getting a PBU in the fourth quarter great job on fourth down great job right here’s another one detroit Lions try to drop back throw it to him makes a play on the football incomplete pass right so yes he can play defensive back if you really really really need him to but the one thing you have to understand that you’re getting is a really reliable special team player and again for anyone who knows football you understand that special teams is one of the most important things in the game i mean being able to pin someone deep is massive right compared to a a bad punt where they get 20 yards on the return and now they’re starting at the 40 yard line so again Robert Rushelle is a guy I really do like just because of his overall ability um to be an athlete you be utilized in multiple different positions whether special teams uh or not here’s one right here right great job and that is the difference right there that is a difference in a football game now again I get it they’re up 37 to7 when this happens um but these are the plays that he can make very reliable special teamamer out of the gate now overall I love the addition of Perryon Winfrey as a defensive lineman up front but also man Robert Rochelle he’s going to add a lot of versatility along this special team unit um he’s someone that’s going to help out a ton um and again special teams is very very important to any football team so let me know what you guys think overall about these two additions to the football team um hit the like button subscribe join the family turn on post notifications if you are new with that being said I’ll catch you guys in the next one

Hoping these acquisitions help. Just can't wait for Dak to get replaced. I want to win a Super Bowl, not beat up on bad teams.
Not mad at this signing. We need depth at that position. We still need another 3-tech, too, and cb help.
Cowboys OUTSMARTING the NFL? You should be a comedian πππ
Ima cowboys fan through and through but come on now thereβs only a few salesman on the Cowboys and that Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones
Not her 3 tech n no 1 tech crazy they must have a plan?
They ainβt outsmarting no damn body signing these bums
We're not outsmarting anyone
A special teams corner and another 3 technique dt. Big whoop.
We still need 1 tech, cb and probably an upgrade at rb
Winfrey makes the team. If Micah stays at DE Dallas will strong play size at DT. I think Winfrey has landed a great opportunity.
Just bodyies nothing more
btw not genius to release one of only two guys that can play NT on the roster.. and we added a third guy to play the rush DT spot.. i dont get it

We broght back Rogers only to cut him again πwe need a 300+ pound DT period what are we doing
I believe Eberflus is looking for athletic DT'S or Dlinemen i stead of meat and potatoes because the NFL is a passing league now
The only issue is Winfrey is a bad dude. Arrested many times.
These developmental leagues have players that can play in the NFL still and contribute to NFL teams. Dallas is at the forefront of signing and developing these players.

Really like this one! Hope it works out
