Phillies vs. Marlins Highlights (6/19/25) | MLB Highlights

Edward cabrera over his last seven starts is two and one with a 2.38. Er, a one away Edward Cabrera working off the first base side of the rubber schwer rips one on one hop that’s plucked by wags Wagman trots it to the bag himself. A three unassisted put out. He stayed down on that hot shot. One hopper. It was one of three off the bat and wag him in with a little bit of a look what I found play for out number two that will bring up a ball with two gone quickly here in the top of the first, that one cut on and missed a tight turning slider option C and he got a swing and a miss on that. Edward Cabrera ends a 123 top of the first sanchez making his first ever start on this mound here in Miami. It was 1 to 0 lifetime against the Marlins with an, er, a of 1.33. Xavier Edwards leads off for Miami and a strike three calls right on the inside part of the plate. He’s not going to make glass happy with that. Stare down one away. Here’s Augustine Ramirez swing and a miss three straight changeups and two outs. Second strikeout for Christopher , the wind of the one swing and a ground ball weekly hit to short turner in two steps. He’s got it throw to first a little low but Otto Kemp reels it in and there’s a 123 start for Christopher sanchez as well. Max seven game hitting streak ended yesterday, start a new at ball four, so a one out walk and it brings Otto Kemp to the plate. Otto feel better today after fouling that ball off off his knee a couple of nights ago, there’s a swing and a miss by Otto Kemp. Then another strikeout for Edward cabrera his second of the night. Bryson ST two for three with a homer is three run homer. The difference in the ball game last night, 33, 11 this week with a AA homer and three runs batted in against Miami liner out to right field. Sanchez won’t get it. He’ll take it on a hot rounding second heading the third. It’s Kepler don’t get there. And Bryson ST with his fourth hit of this series puts runners on 1st and 3rd for the Phillies Marsha. He’s making his second start in this series and just his fourth this month, another night off for Jt Realmuto and the 27th pitch from cabrera is on the way runner on the move that misses upstairs. Forte’s throw goes through and they get ST Nick Fortes with a BB to second base. Otto Lopez received the throw and swiped the tag on ST in plenty of time to end the inning. Caught stealing 2 to 6 and Cabrera strands a man at third. The Phillies run themselves out of an inning. Eriberto hernandez chops a sinker to third. Bohm charges long throw to first. Not in time. That will be an infield base knock for Eriberto hernandez Hernandez with an infield single to start the bottom of the second. Here is Eric Wageman who’s hitting 278. He’s been very steady over the last 29 games. Broken bat one hopper to short turner to ST there’s one on the first double play, 10 double play that Sanchez has induced the opposition into. That’s his chart, the ability to get the ball. He’s one of the best at it in the game that will bring up dan Myers and Sanchez, of course, always good for some ground ball out pitches on hit high in the air. Shallow left. Kepler is in, he’s under it and waiting and he got the side retired just for Sanchez a first time all star last year. He’s been even better this season than he was last year. Even besides that, er, a maybe most impressive, more than half of his starts have been quality shot diving turner, got it ring up the middle and Trey Turner steals a hit from Connor Norby action action. That’s what Christopher sanchez typically gives the infielders. He will let the ball get in play a lot of ground balls. Terrific play to Tres left. Here’s the 1 to 2 pitch swing and a miss, he struck him out for gone. And that is strikeout number three for Christopher Edward cabrera. See kyle Schwarber to open the top of the fourth inning scoreless between the Marlins and the Phillies Schwarber on board 68 games. So 47 pitches, 46 pitches now for Cabrera 22 balls. 24 strikes, check swing but Bohm did go around. He chased a curveball low and away. That’s a strikeout for cabrera. And after the walk, he bounces back to the punch out. I mean that pitch looked like it was going to be a strike the whole way man at first with one away here in the top of the fourth. Here’s Castanos 0 to 1 tonight. Broken bat two hopper over to short Otto to second for one on to first in time for the double play. It was not hard hit but Lopez got it to X and in time Edwards turned it at second base and fired to first to beat Castellanos by half a step. Shatter the bat. When you get jammed like that, you also don’t get out of the box as quickly as you want. Laz Diaz took a piece of that and got the barrel of that bat off the mass. So he’s ok and he is, he is lucky. He just caught his mass this season. Marlins vs the National League Yeast. That as a team hitting 274 we have talked extensively about how good the National League Yeast is for the Marlins are 10 and 10 in the division this year. The Phillies are 11 and 10. I think the Marlins will take that first pitch to Fortes little dribbler left side, sanchez off the hill. He plucks and he fires to first. It is not in time. Nick Fortes legs out the swinging bunt. It ain’t, but it will do Marlins on the board first. It’s one, nothing on that little dribbler here in the bottom of the fifth goes down as a line drive in the books. He had the blister issue early in the year and of course, last year, the shoulder impingement him out quite a bit. Cy is clearly still feeling fresh 70 pitches in. You love to see it, that one cut on and missed punch out number four but a curveball has cy in Cruz control 74 pitches. He is through six shutout innings in the top of the seventh and we love to see this. Edward Cabrera back out there. Edward Cabrera has completed six innings for the first time this season. The last time he fired seven shutout innings of baseball happened to be last September to bounce the ball past the mound charging Norby gloves. It the throw on the run is not in time. Calls out a safe at first base, Kate Gibson loosening in the bullpen. The Marlins only have one left handed pitcher, not just in the bullpen but on the roster. Gibson may very well be loosening for Kepler who’s on deck. We’ll see. I think a lot of it depends on what happens here to check, swing. He went around on a pitch in the dirt. He chased a curveball. Fortes picked it up, first base is occupied. So the strikeout Max Kepler is coming up. Mccullough is coming out in this game sometimes. Gosh, just head shaking on so many levels. But it’s a good thing for the Phillies that they go to the bullpen and get this cat out of the game. And again, this guy right here was do, weren’t doing anything against him. But don’t you wish every once in a while that managers would use their eyes instead of what, you know what I mean? But they, they, they have a built in excuse if it doesn’t work, shot the other way. Picked on one hop by Norby. He bobbled it, touch third throws to first and it hits the umpire a run scores. The game is tied at one. Cabrera’s reaction told a lot of the story, you know, after the run had scored, not that he was trying to show anybody up, but he, yeah, you know, well, you know, you know that this whole mantra. Well, wins for a starting pitcher doesn’t matter, tell, tell cabrera that if this game is still tied, going to the bottom of the eighth inning and sanchez is in the low eighties with his pitch count. If Rob Thompson still goes to him, he’s done such a nice shot today. Ground ball hit the third b stays down, gloves it with the backhand, throw it to first and another clean inning for Christopher Sanchez. Now, Anthony Bender is such tough competition against right handed hitters. Lefties will naturally see a guy who throws pretty much low three quarter side arm, much better. And Schwarber, one of the more dangerous power bats in major league baseball that deep to right center smart and the Phillies have taken the lead. Yes, it is June, it’s 21. We go to the bottom of the eighth and Christopher Sanchez still on the mound. He’s thrown 80 pitches. He’s got the lead now, 2 to 1 swung on, popped up right side, backing up Kemp and ST ST is calling near the line. He’ll make the catch and shot to right field. Nick Fortes the hitter. Now Sanchez getting 89 and one this spring over the shortstop backhanded on a wicked hot pipe. Trey Turner two outs. It’s the fourth game this year that Christopher’s gone at least seven innings and it’s the third straight so good at a groundball right side K wide to the bag gloves it with the backhand flips underhand to sanchez who finds the bag with a foot and that is out number three, which got hugged by Christian Bermudez in the dug. Yeah, I don’t, I wish he would. Well, Dane Myers had a great season so far. Batting 331 he’s got a double tonight. He scored the only run. He’s got a chance to tie it up or maybe more off the hands popped up, left side of the infield and Turner makes the catch and the ball game is over and the Phillies win it 2 to 1 behind Christopher Sanchez had the swing of Kyle Schwarber.

  1. フィリーズの皆さんこんにちは😊なんか🧹🧹🧹されたチームがいたおかげでいい順位になったね😂

  2. Sanchez a sneaky all star tbh. Him and Ranger have been extremely underrated. They’re legit the same pitcher but Sanchez got a little more velo. Both can paint, field, get ground balls and have great changeups. Kerk has been DOMINANT. Absolutely love to see it. Also, yeah the Mets got swept again haha

  3. There is something I don't understand about baseball. If a pitcher is doing really well, is not tired, and hasn't thrown a ton of pitches, why take him out? I felt sorry for the Marlins starter. He looked so deflated.
Still glad the Phillies won!! 🇨🇦

  4. Florida really shouldn't be allowed to have pro sports teams. Not being able to fill a stadium to 1/4 capacity is just pathetic.

  5. The Marlins have just giving us another foretaste of the Phillies future fate in the playoffs. Starter cruises along till robot manager is triggered by the algorithm to make a change and the hapless bullpen squanders the game. Wash rinse repeat.

  6. El juego indudablemente.ya no es el mismo.un lanzador dominando completamente el juego y viene.y lo saca sólo Pará perder el juego.los lanzadores no deciden un culo.y si se lamentan dicen que son malcriado

  7. Smoke, mirrors and pitching… That is all that is sustaining the Phils right now… Wake up boys and find that Fightin energy… Harper will be unable to save you no matter what he does upon his return
