MLB LIVE🔴 St. Louis Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds – Jun 20, 2025 | Full Game MLB 2025 EN VIVO

welcome into Bush Stadium in downtown St louis mlb the show has action out of the NL Central it’s the Cincinnati Reds taking on the St louis Cardinals and we’ll be back with the first pitch right after this about to get started here and today’s starting pitcher Matthew Liberator yeah and as Whip tells you he’s been pretty effective this year on the mound i mean opposing hitters having a hard time getting on base and then being able to really distract him and do damage in terms of getting around the base path so taking the mound this is a guy you want out there if you’re his teammate and I expect him to be good in this one okay all set to go and ready to hit now for Cincinnati tj Fredle and there’s a foul ball and a pitch in for a strike and the count is 0 and two now one missed [Applause] sharp grounder that’s through for a base hit well that certainly feels good when you can win the at being down in the count up against it with two strikes right there pretty tough for the infielders to do anything with that one he pulled it hard into the outfield and even when you keep it on the ground it feels great when you hit a missile like that and now it’s Gavin Lux way high there and it’s one and0 come on Matthew there’s the strike foul ball still a one and two count that wasn’t an easy pitch to hit it’s much easier to do damage against mistakes but that’s not what that pitch was next offering way off the plate good in that spot really good take especially with two strikes and ball four to a board take it oh looking for a swinging miss right there or for the ump to help him out and make a call with that last pitch but neither happened cole’s pitch but a good take to earn that walk next to hit Ellie Dea Cruz that one finds the corner that’s strike one [Applause] late with the swing there i would throw him another breaking ball try to go again with a fast ball slightly elevated he just is having a hard time catching up honest it’s a strike out and Chris that’s a way to neutralize his speed by keeping him off base and the defense breeds a sigh of relief because he puts pressure on everyone if he can put the ball in play but that’s how you do it keep him off balance get him out of there and deal with the next guy tyler Stevenson the next to hit for the Reds [Applause] splits the plate that’s strike one [Applause] late swing fouled off [Applause] ball one way to lay off that pitch down that misses and now two balls and two strikes [Applause] on the ground and foul ball runners at first and second with one gone [Applause] and that just misses caught a break right there pretty good pitch on the outside corner [Applause] swang and a ball lifted in the air pulls it down and he makes the catch and there’s two down here’s the lineup for the Reds this group was shut out their last game so we’re going to see if they can bounce back with a better effort here today and Boo it can get in your head a little bit when you get shut out you’re frustrated you’re seeing that consecutive streak of innings you haven’t scored and you want to get off to a great start score early because if you don’t you feel like it could linger into two consecutive games which no one wants to be a part of [Music] christian and Carnosion Strand in the box with two gone and takes a look at a called strike line drive and that’s a base hit to right headed for the plate now a long throw home oh he botches it mission accomplished there as he picks up the RBI to give him the lead showed a willingness to drive that pitch the opposite way didn’t get jumpy didn’t try to pull the ball he let it get deep took the barrel right to it and then extended through the swing for the line drive base hit and now it’s going to be Will Benson that’s in for a strike at this point the clean inning is over got to settle in focus on the hitter and get out of it with minimal damage [Applause] [Music] two outs swinging a foul back that’s out of play it’s great to get on the board in the first frame of the ball game but here’s an opportunity for them to really open things up with a couple of runners on let’s see if they can cash in they take the force out that ends the inning and stops things from getting out of hand back here in St lewis and towing the slab Andrew Abbott well this guy’s just been filthy out there on the mound hitters batting under 200 against him and they’re just having a hard time squaring up anything doing any type of damage the only way he hurts himself is if he gives up the free passes and surreners a rare home run but outside of that it’s going to be a tough job for the opposing lineup today brendan Donovan leading things off and takes a strike [Applause] foul ball still 0 and two and that one missing low [Applause] that missed by a lot and it’s two and two the two gets a check swing now an appeal to third and he couldn’t hold back keys rung up on strikes mason Win getting ready to hit it’s been a tough stretch for him at the plate barely hitting over the Mendoza line this month the shorts stop takes a ball one and0 one out base is empty next offering is fouled back foul ball there [Music] ball two two balls two strikes and it’s through for a hit so a man aboard now with one away batting third right fielder and now it’s Ivon Herrera herrera [Applause] and that’s a little bit high ball one f [Applause] [Music] there’s the strike man at first one away [Music] next offering is in for a strike fouled off the plate they’ll do it again fouls it off still one and two [Applause] that one the other way pulls it down and they’re two away now we take a check of the St louis Cardinal lineup one guy leading the way offensively for this club right now Brendan Donovan tops on the team in batting average Boo a guy who’s showing off some excellent bat-to ball ability when he digs in at the plate you know that’s useful if your team needs to get an inning going get a leadoff man on but it’s also incredible to have a guy like that in the lineup because he’s a run producer who can drive in runs if you’ve got guys on base already so he’s a huge piece in this lineup ripped on a line and he makes the catch and that is that so one left for the Cardinals still behind by a count of one to nothing back here at Bush Stadium top of the second and here’s the first baseman Spencer Steer liberator back to work swing and a chopper out to short whips it to first one out in the second batting eight right fielder Jake Frilly jake Freilley the next to hit for the Reds let’s go and first offering is fouled off [Music] one down base is empty that one pushed foul had a good eye there really nice slider right there sweeping across the dish but just couldn’t hang the edge that one misses and the count is even two and two he’s really tightening up his hitting zone with two strikes here i love it swing and a ball lifted in the air shallow left field nuke brings it in with a nice running grab that’s just a really nice catch on the run right there he’s saved extra bases for sure if the pitcher’s his friend he’ll give him a second to catch his breath before he’s ready to deal the next pitch the final go matt Mlan stands in with two away as he takes a ball and that one hammered way back there and that one is off the wall and into second easily with a two-out double just about got it out of here down the line to left though i’m sure he wishes he could have put a little more behind it but he’s got to feel good about that missile off the wall so the batting order turns over tj Fredel the next to hit for the Reds he’s one for one let off the game with a single ground ball left side and it goes just foul runner at second two down here in the top of the second in the dirt that one outside and it’s two and one pretty easy to give up on that pitch right there started on the edge of the plate with the spin you know it’s going to finish well off the plate next offering is fouled back keeps the bat going with a foul ball ru rudder breaks for third win slings it across third out so they can’t do anything with a two-out double we go to the bottom of inning number two it’s the Reds one and the Cardinals nothing bottom of the second and stepping in for the Cardinals Alex Burlson alex Burles come on [Applause] swing and a miss strike one as a left-handed hitter you kind of expect that breaking ball from the lefty so you just want to track it and get an idea because you know it’s going to come into play later in the at bat larry Bullard our umpire behind the plate bullard’s got a pretty standard strike zone sometimes they’ll have you guessing a little bit but overall well respected umpire in the league that’s a ball tried the sweeper back to back breaking pitches away you get the feeling as a hitter that the pitcher is afraid of you that he doesn’t want to challenge you so I think the confidence level is raised right here got him swinging he’s locked in at the plate when he’s using the whole field he was out in front there just needs to let the ball travel a little more and his timing will be back on track good pitch for the strike out here’s Nolan Aronado good defender he’s been inconsistent offensively this to third zips it to first already two out here in the home half of inning number two left fielder Luke [Music] lars Nbar next up for the Cardinals let’s go and the first pitch misses for ball one and another ball in the air fairly deep to right field nabs it and that is that we played two innings it’s one to nothing all set for the start of the unit now it’s the DH Gavin Lux lux bats left throws right batting second in today’s lineup and he’s one of the few players in Major League Baseball born in Wisconsin line drive and this might be trouble now he’ll turn for second and he’ll pull into second safely everything came together for him man that feels so good to shoot an absolute bolt the opposite way split the gap and know that you’ve got extra bases right off the bat that’s the kind of thing hitters dream about when they’re falling asleep at night runner in scoring position no outs and now the shorts stop ellie Dea Cruz struck out swinging his first time out of the corner for a strike it’s 0 and one so here’s a fun note on Ellie he became the youngest player in high a ball to homer from both sides of the plate in the same game and it gets better he did it again two games later those are the type of games that tend to get you promoted in the minors [Applause] gets a piece and stays alive [Music] and one to two this one in the air burlson settles under this one puts it away for the out and there’s one down here’s the catcher tyler Stevenson fly to right his first time taps softly third base side a swinging bunt throw to first in time [Applause] now batting third baseman Christian and Carnos and now for the Reds christian and Carnosion Strand singled and drove in a run his first time through delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95 [Applause] and there’s a ball though Chris through the early stages he hasn’t been very efficient in terms of the pitch count he’s going to need to get some quick outs if he’s going to get deeper into this game the next offering misses and the count is three and one it is interesting though when you consider the way the game is run now doesn’t even matter that much if your starter doesn’t go that deep because teams are really aggressively building their bullpens so now two on and two outs now batting left fielder Will Benson and now Will Benson he’s 0 for one in the air left field down the line new ball settles under it and makes the catch and that is that red strand a couple but they still lead it one- nothing back here in St louis digging in pedro Pave pedro Pave [Applause] fouled off he was late and ball one [Applause] two and one [Applause] just missed green one that one misses so a lead off walk [Applause] night and now the center fielder Victor Scott the seconds looked like it was a little bit up fast ball in for a strike and the count one and one pretty rare location right there right down the middle this guy paints the edges not sure if you’re going to see that pitch again as a hitter and that’s through there for a strike and it’s one and two swing and a miss had him out front for the strike out well you see him trying to pull that inside pitch right there and that’s not the kind of approach that you want to have even if you do get to it it’s going to be very difficult to keep it fair you’re just going to make it a long strike at best you have to be able to stay within the baseball on the inside of that path to it and that way if you’re a little quick the ball gets hit hard somewhere and it’s not foul donovan batting with one down takes a strike and he’ll one and a foul ball yeah that skips in the dirt well with the amount of pitches that can end up in the dirt a good secondary lead doesn’t have to get away from the catcher but if you’re anticipating based off the trajectory get yourself into scoring position strike three and that’s two in a row now Mason win next up for the Cardinals one for one with a single so far [Applause] swings here and blasts one left field going back and he makes the play on the warning track and that will end the inning so no runs no base hits no errors and one left on three innings complete it’s the Reds one and the Cardinals nothing and welcome back to the ballpark start of the fourth and now the first baseman Spencer Steer cardinal that one finds the zone and that’s strike one hoo over 80% of his first pitches are strikes you’re doing that you could have a really good day out there on the mound comes up empty as he chases that one in the dirt good job to fight that one off [Applause] and that one is inside that one just misses really close pitch down around the knees there and you could see him asking where it missed probably doesn’t agree but it appears he’s ready to move on to the next pitch yeah that’s too high three balls two strikes strike him out on the ground right side and that’s just foul that one misses so a leadoff walk it’s not easy laying off that pitch it’s designed to fool you but he just wasn’t fooled at all and now the right fielder Jake Freley fly to left his first time right through there for a strike well these Reds showing great discipline at the plate and patience definitely seems to be the name of their game in this one they’ve worked three walks already so that proves they’re not anxious up there they’re sticking to their game plan and it’s working checks his swing appeal to third and he held up [Music] popped up to the left into foul ground and Aronado makes the catch good hard fast ball up in the zone right there they look really good coming in but so hard to get on top of as a hitter now it’s the second baseman Matt Mlan doubled in his first AB grounder might be two win toss to second double play what a queen killing day in the inning offense held in check there we’re midway in the fourth it’s the Reds one and the Cardinals nothing and we’re back john Chami and Chris Singleton with you and leading off the bottom of the fourth Ivon Herrera herrera mvp missed with a change up and that’s ball one he’s been pitching well but going through this middle of the order second time through we’ll see what kind of adjustments are being made yeah big swing and a miss one ball two strike and down on strikes he goes he picks up his fifth strike out on the hill oh you know that’s got to be very frustrating for this guy he knows the strike zone extremely well and you know what good hitters are not going to compromise is he’ll take that punch out but ultimately stick with his plan and have more success than anything else here’s Contrarus now and a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike home team down a run we’re here in the bottom of the fourth that was good pitch there billy had some run and finished little up and end just on the edge and that’s one of those if you swing at it hit a broken bat as you jog back to the dugout fast ball is outside [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] swing and a miss struck him out alec Burlson digs in now he struck out swinging at his first at there’s a strike probably the best one we have seen throwing it where he wanted to have a nice tight spin to it and a teaser just off the edge of the plate next offering is in for a strike one [Music] good eye right there wow that’s a tough pitch to lay off that’s inside [Music] [Applause] swinging a foul ball at the plate they’ll do it again two down do on that’s ball four tried another fast ball but missed the spot man that’s a tough one to take on the full count but I guess he saw it really well it’s a really nice plate appearance aronado here’s Nolan Aronado 0 for one so far come on come on that one finds the zone strike one come back to the mound in plenty of time to first and they get Arnonado for the out and he has thrown four shut out innings no runs no hits no errors and one left on base we’re headed to the fifth it’s the Reds one and the Cardinals nothing back here in St louis ready now for the fifth inning now here’s the Reds leadoff man TJ Fredel liberator back to work inside corner for a strike 0 and one on the ground out to short rolls across the diamond one away here in the fifth now batting the designated hitter Gavin Lux and next is the designated hitter Gavin Lux you can do it Cardinal you can do it fast ball on the inside corner for a strike fouled off to the right st louis and it’s fouled off they’ll do it again base is empty one away and we’re in the top of the fifth got him swinging for the strike out slider got him for a strike three chris third time through the order and a couple of quick outs for the starter yeah he’s been very frugal today economical with the pitch count next to hit Ellie Dea Cruz and first offering is fouled off [Applause] cut on and miss stuck him out and the Reds go one two three nobody left for Cincinnati but they’re on top one- nothing ready to go for the last half of the inning now the left fielder Lars New well on paper it’s favorable to have a fairly quick inning here with two of the three hitters he’s set to face batting from the left side same side he throws from strike two 02 and the pitch is outside ball one [Applause] and a foul ball he stays alive [Applause] swing and a miss struck him out make it seven strikeouts for him and now Pedro Pz walked his first time pedro PZ right through there for a strike nope that’s off the plate just missed with that back door breaking ball if he gets a swing and miss or called strike 02 count instead it’s 1-1 look for him to go back to that pitch later in this at bat [Applause] swinging in a ball popped in the air reaching for it makes the catch now batting center fielder Victor Scott the second victor Scott the next to hit struck out swinging his first time there’s the strike at the knees two outs that clips the inside corner for a strike oh this offense has just been locked down almost five full innings of shut out baseball outside low and the count one and two in the air left field down the line and just foul two down nobody on last half of inning number five on the outside corner got him looking redbirds down quietly they’re down one- nothing top of the sixth inning now the Reds cleanup hitter Tyler Stevenson catcher Tyler Stevenson oh he doesn’t get the call one and0 move into the bullpen for the Cardinals john King the lefty looks to be getting himself ready gray also throwing swinging a foul out of play high in the air out to right perrera makes the catch and there’s one gone here’s the third baseman Christian Encarnos Strand encarnion Strand measures 6 feet even 25 years old and he was drafted in the fourth round in 2021 bottom of the zone and a called strike next offering misses and it’s a ball and a strike this one smoked could be trouble around first and hustling for second the throw in in safely it’s a double and his second hit he got a pitch he could drive but he didn’t get too excited like a lot of guys do and pull off the baseball really good timing all the way through the swing and the barrel was so on plane with the ball easy drive into the gap for that double here comes a manager out of the Cardinals dugout and he’ll make a move to the pan matthew Liberator is done and he’s responsible for the runner on second so the book isn’t closed on him yet we’ll be right back now pitching new pitcher for the Cardinals Sunny Gray just trying to keep this one close here and this is where a bullpen can give their players a chance to fight back into the game [Applause] one out runner at second and now here is Will Benson for two in this one and fast ball misses outside for a ball and that’s ball one and Kardashian Strand over at second one down and that’s downstairs and the count now two and nothing right through there for a strike and a two-1 on the way free ball one straight one- run game one out one on and that’s a strike and ball four to a board you get a walk and you get a walk everyone gets a walk spencer Steer now here is Spencer Steer at the dish looking to lift the ball in the air in this spot anything but the inning inning double play boo first off ring and it just misses one and0 [Applause] line drive base hit coming home fires to the plate safe at home and the runner scores from second and they take a two-run lead puts a run on the board and picks up an RBI i don’t know how he was able to shoot that pitch the other way and still put something on it that pitch was inside and he let it get really deep so pretty incredible hands to fight it off and still get good wood on it jake Freilley the next to hit for the Reds first pitch misses rudders are at the corners one away [Applause] that’s a ball went with the sweeper could be some action here on this next pitch couple runners on probably a challenge pitch coming good hitters count the two and a fast ball clips the outside corner for a strike [Applause] two on one out rolled to short possible two ball the flip to second and that’s two but they pick up one run on the RBI single it’s now a two nothing ball game you’re dialed into the show back here at Bush Stadium well we go bottom six here’s the second base Brendan Donovan second baseman Brendan Donovan and that’s it in for a strike and it’s 0 and one action in the pen down there taylor Rogers up and throwing for Terry Francona may the right-hander loosening up as well let’s go swings through that just threw that fast ball by him elevated and if you’re not looking up in that location very difficult to catch up to especially with that velocity up the middle to first leadoff man retired in the six now batting shortstop Mason Win mason Win now at the plate he is singled and he is fly to left just missed one ball no strike lined and that’s a base hit and they had their first hit since the first inning only two hits allowed so far tonight Boo so I don’t think that one will disrupt his momentum all that much you know he’s really been on top of his game commanding his pitches all night long now I Herrera next up for the Cardinals herrera now this team is definitely looking for a big swing of the bat right here try to close that gap but you know at the very least if you could find a way to manufacture that run from first it feels like it’s really important to getting back into this ball game ball one on a pitch inside [Applause] on the ground to third might be two throws to second for one double play they can’t seem to break through inning over in motion there as the second baseman turns the double play nice throw to first and that’s the way to end the inning now pitching the leftander on now john King pretty tight game so they’re looking for quality pitches out of him right here got to do his best to keep the score right where it is [Applause] and ready to hit now for Cincinnati matt Mlan one for two a change up missing ball one well these Reds digging into their numbers have to be happy with the swings they’re taking we’ve already seen eight line drives from them and it’s always a good sign when the ball is jumping off your back and that’s what this offense has been doing so far today well those can be pretty fun as an outfielder got to put it into his highest gear and go a long way to track that one down nothing better than that you feel like a wide receiver playing football fredel in the box with one away as he takes ball one one ball no strike on the ground to the left and foul ball one down base is empty got him looking he’s got to be frustrated with that call well we saw a solid effort out of their starter and the bullpen is following suit it’s just a good day as a manager or as a pitching coach when you can hand the ball off to multiple arms get stability from all of their performances now it’s going to be Gavin Lux this one in the air aronado hauls it into Indiana reds down in order but they hold the two nothing lead [Music] [Music] back here in St louis set for the last half of the seventh and now the DH Wilson Contras tap foul at the plate what makes him special is a lot of pitchers lose movement in their stuff the deeper they go into a game but he’s just different we see plenty of break in his pitches even when he’s running a little low in the tank and that’s ruled to swing it’s a strike out a big first out here in the seventh via the punch out yeah it just does so much to change the outlook of an important inning like this when you got the leadoff hitter so critical in setting the table when you got a tight game like this so a strikeout really puts them on their heels burlson checks his swing appeal down to third and he went around according to Patrick Johnson a swing and a miss as he chases way out of the zone oh bases empty one away here the bottom of the seventh in the air out towards left center benson sizing this one up hauls it in and there’s two away now batting third baseman Nolan Aronado there’s Nolan Aronado he’s grounded out a couple of times that one finds the zone strike one usually when a pitcher’s had a dominant outing he has filled up the strike zone and he’s gotten ahead in the count with first pitch strikes well that’s exactly what this guy has done in this one over 70% first pitch strikes next one misses and it’s one and two too close for me partner to take that O2 fast ball but for whatever reasons he let it go by he’s still in the at bat i don’t think he’ll let the next one go that’s down and in that’s off the mark and a full countdown lars Nar waiting in the on deck circle they can get him up he’d represent the tying run so critical pitch right here two down nobody on foul ball and it remains a full count let’s go the 3-2 is outside and it’s ball four and that’ll bring the tying run to the plates well two out walks are never good especially when you’re trying to get back into that dugout but he’s still in a good spot he’s just got to refocus and deal with the bottom of this order manager out of the dugout now and it looks like we’ll see a change on the mound andrew Abbott won’t go any further really solid performance out of him as he leaves with a slim lead we’ll take a break new arm when we get back they turn things over to the southpaw Taylor Rogers he’s having a ton of success facing left-handed hitters this season so this seems like a smart move to turn to him with a lefty at the plate walks out of the bullpin can absolutely kill your momentum very quickly they’re in some hot water trying to protect this lead so up next Lars Nbar ball one there aronado leads off first with two down to the inning next pitch is outside [Music] tying run at the plate in the air left field benson right there to make the grab and that will end the inning the Cards leave one they’re still down it’s two zip now pitching welcome back and a new arm on the mound to start the eighth andre Palante he has a great slider with tons of movement and now for the Reds ellie Dea Cruz for three in this one ellie de la Cruz and misses inside [Music] next offering is fouled back swing and a miss and that’s strike two one ball swings and misses at the breaking ball in the dirt pah collects fires to first in time to get him one away in the strikeout oh tough guy at the dish punching out for the third time right there he just hasn’t looked very comfortable at the plate a little unsure of his timing right now not picking up the spin and location of these pitches he’ll have some adjustments to make now tyler Stevenson and a swing and a miss there no one strike the one no that’s high way high two balls one strike [Music] yeah the two-1 hammered but foul can’t connect and the curve ball struck him out very strong coming out of the pin so far as he punches out the first two batters he’s faced in this one getting straight to work man it’s talked about a lot but relievers are just so electric these days he’s having fun at bats if you’re a hitter i’m so glad I’m retired and Carnosion Strand in the box here lets that one go for a ball in the air out towards right center scott on the move makes the grab and that’ll end the Ready for the bottom of the eighth now up for St louis pedro PZ pedro P [Applause] drilled out towards left center field way back there that one ops against the fence safe at second with a leadoff double well clearly he was ready to hit right there got a good pitch to drive stayed short with his bat path to the ball and caught it out front and he stayed long in his follow through that’s how you split the gap and that’s pretty much a double every time now that sets up a huge bat in this ball game so now a pinch hitter for the Cardinals Johelo nice opportunity for him runner at second with nobody out [Applause] and that’s in there at the knees one with the tying run at the plate here the bottom half of the eighth inning worm burner into the outfield for a knock and they get it in quickly first and third now with nobody out one of the hardest things to do in the game to stay mentally and physically ready for the big opportunity and he came through for his club right there and up next for St louis Brendan Donovan i’m curious how he decides to attack on the mound this guy at the plate has been great hitting under pressure this year [Applause] lefty out of the stretch runners at first and third and another ball when the skipper calls down to the bullpen he’s expecting the guy to come in and get outs so far not getting what he was hoping for [Applause] puts it in the air out towards left center fredel makes a nice running catch play at the plate save and it’s a onun ball game sometimes all you got to do is your job and don’t over complicate things keep it simple runner third less than two outs put the ball in play and a nice job with the sack fly [Applause] manager out of the dugout and he’s going to make a change taylor Rogers will depart and he leaves in a one-run game new pitcher coming on we’ll be back in a minute now pitching so a new arm out of the bullpen for the Reds luis May well the best relievers love the opportunity to come in and protect the tight lead late in the ball game some of them are just wired different so we’ll see what he’s got here now here is Mason Win and that is in for a strike it’s 0 and one poso the base runner at first with one out [Applause] [Music] [Applause] fights that one away and the count remains 0 and2 [Applause] [Music] just misses the mark outside the zone just missing off the plate there according to the umpire and out there on the mound maybe trying to get an explanation can’t say he’s convinced but it looks like he’s accepted it next pitch not close up high slider [Applause] misses outside this count runner not known for his speed but I think you got to put him in motion try to avoid a double play here boo [Applause] spoils a two- strike pitch and he’ll see another [Applause] and ball four to a board pretty much the last thing you want from your bullpin arms are free passes especially in spots like this make the team earn their way up so the tying run in scoring position now Ivon Herrera next up for the Cardinals on the ground second might be two good feed that’s one and that’s two well the second base made that one look easy great feed to the shortstop shortstop completes the play they get out of a jam and they end the inning we’re back it’s the top of the ninth and there’s a new pitcher on the mound phil M left-handed batter at the plate and he’s been excellent in those matchups this year so this seems like a calculated move m Jose Morero into the game as a defensive sub now and he’ll take over in center number 27 here’s the left fielder Will [Applause] that’s in there 0 and one action in the St louis bullpen jojo Romero getting loose out there ley also getting ready [Applause] not close with that one one ball one strike [Applause] to the right side and he handles it himself for the out now batting the first baseman Spencer Steer spencer Steer will hit next [Applause] just missed one- run game here in the top of the ninth [Applause] and that gets the inside corner for a strike [Applause] and a swing a miss [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] tapped softly on the ground wind on the run sends it over to first nicely done for the Owl now batting right fielder Jake Frillley next for Cincinnati Jake Freilley not looking like they’ll be adding any insurance runs heading into the bottom of the ninth so it’s going to be on the bullpen to hold this lead inside corner at the knees for a strike crowd locked in right now one-run game here in the ninth and takes low for ball one [Applause] that one down the line fair ball can’t glove it cleanly around first heading for two and he’ll pull into second with two gone just found a way to slap that ball down the third baseline that’s really excellent back control and it kind of goes back to all those drills you see hitters do off the tee where it’s placed in different spots that was just nice now it’s the second baseman Matt Mlan one for three that’s outside and it’s one and0 two outs and one in scoring position and it’s one and one one goal one strike [Applause] just missed two and one there’s the strike runner at second two down here in the top of the ninth just off the outside part of the plate tj Fredle up next for the Reds [Applause] on the ground right side donovan and that’s the third out one hit one left onto the bottom of inning number nine 456 coming up it’s the Reds two and the Cardinals one [Applause] welcome back and here comes the closer Emlio Pagan well he’s the guy they hope to turn to out of the pin to lock down win so this game has gone to plan more or less let’s see if he can wrap it up here well one game and now Wilson Contras Wilson Contras [Applause] in there at the knees and one [Applause] One-run game bottom nine that’s out to center field fredel under it drops into the glove and there’s one away now batting first base Alex so digging in Alec Burlson [Applause] swings and misses strike one well a come and get me fast ball right there he didn’t look ready for the velocity i think it’d be a mistake to throw him anything off speed right here swang and a miss and that is strike two a little anxious a little aggressive early in the count too much for me swing a highf fly ball deep left field benson reaching back towards the wall tries to make the play but it’s fouled looking to get the tying run on base and he couldn’t hold back he’s rung up on strikes one out left for the Cardinals so now it’s Dolan Aronado nolan Aronado [Applause] and that one upstairs ball one [Applause] and a strike in there one [Applause] and a count one and two a oneun lead and the home team trying to pull it out gets a piece there we’ll do it again pretty good pitch there to take a rip at he wants to get his arms extended he likes the ball away from him a little bit just not able to square it up the Red Birds down to their final strike and now the count is even stays alive two outs and it remains two and two [Applause] fights it off if he’ll see another five foul balls in this at bat so far and these two are going headto head you can see the crowd they’re starting to get into it a little bit more and more each pitch even though there hasn’t been a ball in play yet two down on ball four he walked in and that keeps things going when you go that deep into a bat the hitter usually comes out on top substitution now at first base entering is the pinch runner Jordan Walker lars Newbar so up next Lars Nbar right now they’re looking for something hit hard into the gaps give them an opportunity with two outs to score that run from first [Music] run around to go pitch misses brown to second tag out and that’s the ball game he closes out his 50th career save so that one has a little extra meaning to it you don’t collect this many saves by accident another job well done and your final score here today 2-1 for Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show i’m John Shami we’ll see you soon what the move

  1. What kind of fukin throw was that by lux. Off balance instead of stepping in to ball . He had plenty of time. Fukin joke relief pitchers, couldn't pitch in godamn college. Rodgers IA a joke santillian can only throw fastball so he always gets killed playing good teams.atlwast we gained a half game still with a loss.
