  1. I know we’ve had bad luck with the IR but now our manager is on it. What a world

  2. oh my , I hope he recovers through whatever he’s going through quickly.

It’s evident the players love him and he’s had positive impact on the team.

  3. Sorry meant to say in the title Wash will not manage the team moving forward. Sorry for the typo.

Man, that’s some shitty news. Hoping all is well with Wash and he’s back managing with us soon. At least it’s not super serious that he’s still able to be at the field? Regardless, scary stuff.

  4. Damn. I hope he’s okay and that rest will improve his condition. Also hate that he’s taken away from the game before he was ready to be, I know that’s hard to deal with mentally.

  5. Damn, that’s a really shitty way to start a long home stand. Feel for Wash and his family

  6. As I was watching last nights post game presser I said to my wife, Ron doesn’t seem ok. I don’t know if this was coincidence but he definitely seemed “off” . Wishing him the best and hoping it’s not a relapse of some sort.

  7. Angels better use this to rally. Crumbling at a moment like this would be disrespectful to Wash.

I may not be a big fan of Wash, but I want to see the team play for him and give him something to be happy about during a difficult time.

  8. Pulling for Wash to handle whatever he’s dealing with. I know it was probably a hard decision to step away but the sooner he can recover, the sooner he’ll be back.

  9. Now I’m glad he was never fired up yelling at the umps. Could have put him down for good.

  10. In that interview someone posted he made a point to say “I’m up everyday walking around so that’s good, just enjoying my health one day at a time” or something like that.

Hopefully Wash can persevere and overcome whatever it is, been great having him on the team and he will be missed as he recovers.

  11. People might not like his managerial decisions, but I don’t think anyone can argue about his work ethic and his love for teaching the game. Here’s to hoping for the absolute best outcome to whatever he’s dealing with!

  12. Really feel for Wash. Might not agree with all of his managerial decisions, but he is a genuinely decent human.

Also happy that Ray Montgomery finally gets his chance, in spite of the circumstances.

  13. Really hope this isnt a lung issue. Wash still smokes heaters in the dugout before games.

  14. He is around my parents age and and they are enjoying retirement. I doubt they could do the grueling schedule Wash has had like working 2 weeks with trips to the East Coast and back.My parents praise Wash for that and hope he can lead us to the promised. Let’s win it for the 70s+ Angels fans lol
