  1. Just fucking brutal. I was there last night. The entire arena went from rocking loud to nearly dead silent when we all realized what happened.

  2. In the five Game 7’s I’ve seen … I’ve never seen someone be that aggressive coming out the gates

It looked like he knew this was his chance to truly stamp himself

I’m so sick for him and Pacer fans

  3. He went from the biggest game of his life to now looking at not playing for 18 months.

    Absolutely brutal.

  4. Yeah, was obvious last night. He knew the risks and the worst case scenario, that’s what you play for though. Went just like KD too, came out guns blazing but the first real move to the basket and it was over.

  5. What’s scary is that one of Hali’s great strengths as a player is how fast he is. He’s not Amen/Ant tier but pretty close. Anyway hope he has a full recovery, probably won’t be seeing him till October 2026

  6. One of the clearest examples of an Achilles tear. Feel bad for the guy, hope he can recover and get back on the court as quickly as possible.

  7. Sucks we were robbed of a truly great Game 7. Who knows what could have happened with the way Haliburton started the game.

  8. damn seeing him on crutches after the game dapping up his teammates was heartbreaking

  9. This dude stole so many hearts. Never had so much fun watching a player that wasn’t on my team. Gut wrenching injury. Can’t wait to see him come back. Rest up, Hali🙌🏼

  10. Max Kellerman was right all long. The calf bone is connected to the Achilles bone.

  11. Hope he rests up until next season, and comes back for 2026-2027. No need to rush

  12. Good luck to the Pacers next season since Hali will be gone the entire season.

  13. Calf injuries need to be taken more seriously with the way players need to explode more as athletes get quicker

  14. Seeing him go down and immediately start crying was tough to watch. Knew the frustration hurt more than the actual injury

  15. Man I didn’t even know he got injured. They should’ve showed more replays during the game

  16. Man. Fuck the negative step. It’s the silver bullet to every torn Achilles. Really don’t know if there’s a way to prevent it outside of major rest the second any injury develops in the lower leg. Can’t really unteach the negative step

  17. The thing that sucks the most is that it might have ended this iteration of the Pacers. Same with the Celtics.

  18. Shout out to the Thunder fans that swore he didn’t actually have a calf strain

  19. Giannis had a badly strained Calf before the 2024 playoffs. Bucks decided not to play him in the playoffs. At the time I was pulling my hair out at the decision. With hindsight it was 100% the right call. Thank you Bucks Medical Staff for keeping Giannis in one piece.

  20. I respect the hell out of guys that want to play through injury (especially in the playoffs) but there is just no way you can let a guy play through a calf strain in this day and age. We’ve seen it too many times now.

  21. These playoffs were confirmation that God hates the Eastern Conference

Three stars lost to Achilles tears. What the fuck

  22. It makes the Pacers collapse in game 4 so much more painful. Not only do they lose the chip, but extending the series leads to the injury of your franchise cornerstone.
