so could the Dallas Stars be trading away Jason Robertson to the Detroit Red Wings this 2025 NHL off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from bleacherreport.com the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Detroit Red Wings trading away Axel Sandine Pelica forward Jonathan Bergen and a and a first round draft pick to the Dallas Stars for Jason Robertson so in my personal opinion this trade was sort of weak of desperation in my opinion uh from Stevie Y and this Red Wings front office the Red Wings of course haven’t really been that good uh since Steve Eisman was hired um about five or six seven years ago now so there’s been a lot of pressure on him to potentially keep his job and making a big-time splash getting this team back to the playoffs and Jason Robertson could definitely accomplish that like offensively speaking uh Jason Robertson is one of the best in hockey this guy could be a 40-50 goal scorer in any given situation you throw him into a group with Lucas Raymond uh Alex Brinket etc he could fit in tremendously well if he can score at a high pace uh be a point per game guy for the foreseeable future this might not be a bad move now what this does for the Red Wings is it makes them a little bit more difficult in regards to their cap situation they’re giving up on some pretty good young talent here in the form of of a first round draft pick uh Jonathan Bergen uh or Burgon uh as well as Axel Sandine Pelica so you know two pretty high-end young players in this Red Wing system this is more of a win now move for them and there’s been a lot of pressure on this team to get back to the playoffs so I sort of understand it uh from the Red Wings perspective i don’t necessarily agree with it but it’s not a terrible idea you have to sort of buy you have to add some talent to this team and Robertson’s a pretty good player he’s a good young player as well makes a lot of sense now from the Stars perspective I love this deal uh if you’re able to sort of get underneath the cap a little bit you know potentially bring back a player uh like Male Granlin that could be a nice move for them uh maybe they want to go after a player like Mitch Marner in free agency that could be an option for them as well so by acquiring a first round draft pick as well as two good young talented prospects this makes a lot of sense uh you save some money you get two pretty good players plus a draft pick uh and you might even be able to sign a player like Mitch Marty in free for agency if that’s the case the Stars win this trade no questions asked in my opinion so as I mentioned before if I had to pick a winner I’m going to go with the Dallas Stars but as always leave your thoughts
