  9. Went an unfathomable 7-47 (.143) BABIP on balls in play the last two games. A little bit of bad luck, but mainly because of just terrible contact. Getting so sick of watching guys hit weak fly balls every AB

  13. Halfway through the season I think we’re a good team that can maybe sneak in as a WC, but I don’t think we can win the division. Still a better season than I was expecting and lots to play for and I’m more optimistic about our future than I was a few months ago.

    Good series. I swear Cubs vs. Cards is just cinema. Records don’t matter when these two teams face off as it will be a close game 9 times out of 10.

    This will be a fun divisional race but has your front office decided to win or lose as this gives me Greenbay Packer vibes. Either way, I hope to catch Cubs vs. Cards at Wrigley. I still need to get Busch one of these days.

  18. 2-2 home split feels like a series loss. Cubs pitched great the last 2 games, and the offense against lefties was non-existent.

  20. At a stoplight, I saw a guy with a Cardinals license plate. I live in Florida so I don’t see a lot of these. Check the score and 2 men are on with no outs in the 9th. Thought it was a sign.

  27. The division will come down to the trade deadline, will the Cubs get thier SP to compete, will the Brewery get the Bat they need?

    Cards im hopeful wildcard or just may retool at deadline, im not expecting much.

  28. 2-2 for this series is probably the best outcome for us. Would’ve been **REAL BAD** if we lost the series 1-3. Could it have been better if we won this game? Absolutely. There’s next week for us to go big.

  33. I will never understand a “fan” who gets excited about a Cardinal loss because they get an opportunity to rub it in other fans faces that the team sucks. Even after 2 great wins against a great team, these people STILL aren’t content. What, because we lost a game? News flash! We will lose games again! And we will win plenty as well.

    If there was ever a way to do fandom wrong, that’s the way.

  36. Honestly, splitting the series isn’t a horrible outcome. I was nervous for this series, even if you won’t admit it, you probably were to. What’s important is we keep winning games, and hoping these trash baby bears lose.

  37. I have never been to a cardinals game and experienced as many cubs fans cheering as I did today. I swear over half the stadium were cubs fans.
