Awesome for Edmonton. Just missing one thing.
I’m an Oiler hater, but this was awesome for Alberta economy.
Playoffs always a boon for the local economies. Down here in South Florida, the hookers and blow sectors have been through the roof this entire run.
33 dollar double caesers at roger’s.
Cool, spend it on a goalie and some defense lol
Peter Pocklington once said he’d rather go to game seven of the finals and lose because it makes him more money than winning.
$2000 /ticket helps
And that was just Edmonton fans the next day at the liquor store.
How is this even calculated?
Edit: I should stop being fried by short form content and just read the fuckin article
No idea what the city does with the money, it’s so aesthetically unappealing, 2 decent neighbourhoods, blamed Covid, blamed WFH, but it was like this 20yrs ago.
It’s just not a city that solves problems or finds value in cultural investment.
