Insider LEAKS Rangers MASTER PLAN…

an nhl insider has revealed the rangers master plan when it comes to their outlook on offer sheets trades and a brand new player who has emerged on the open market for the rangers should the blue shirts look to bring him to broadway i give my take here in just a moment welcome back to rangers digest i am your host brett bodfeld and it is great to be back with you guys on this glorious wednesday the 25th of june and look guys a brand new bombshell report came out yesterday from a rangers insider and there is a lot to break down guys but before i do that a quick reminder that about 77% of you that watch these videos are currently unsubscribed to the channel so please hit that free subscribe button down below so you can stay up todate with everything new york rangers and guys let’s hop right into the video because there was a bombshell report that came out yesterday from nhl insider a rangers insider larry brooks and here it is bald panaran on x a great account he has some tidbits here from larry brooks report in the new york post let’s break it down one by one as we have four bullet points here the first one they will not be offer cheating anyone and guys this is a good thing and a bad thing let’s talk about the bad news first so when it comes to offer sheets jj purka and marco rossi come to mind obviously jj purka wants out of buffalo but buffalo doesn’t want to trade him and marco rossi wants out of minnesota but minnesota has been hesitant to give up marco rossi as well so now with the rangers cap flexibility they were able to be very very aggressive when it comes to the offer sheet market because like i said they have a lot of flexibility and they could pose a lot of threats when it comes to signing bonuses guys on those offer sheets and when it comes to those signing bonuses on the offer sheets that is a real threat to small market teams like buffalo and minnesota so new york certainly would have had an edge there but as you can see from that larry brooks report the rangers won’t be too aggressive on the offer sheet market but the good news is is that it looks like will culie will be returning to new york there is no deal in place yet but as you can see the rangers will not look to let will kulie get to offer sheet territory they are going to want to lock him up on that bridge deal coming off a six-f figureure contract at $828,000 aav they are going to want to lock him up to that bridge deal to reward him for his play thus far doubling more than doubling his points from the prior season going from 21 points to 45 points this past season and then the rangers are going to want to lock him up from anywhere 2 to 3 years for about 3 million to3.5 million and like i said they do not want to let that get to offer sheet territory because look is will worth $56 million absolutely but why spend more when you don’t have to so just get that deal done guys moving right along here number two few serious offers for keandre miller a one-year deal is possible to come back to the blue shirts let’s get into a quote here from nhl premium insider frank saravei he says 12 to 15 teams are interested in keandre miller so as you can see guys there is a conflicting report there so larry brooks is saying yesterday that there are few serious offers for miller but as you can see from frank saravelli he says 12 to 15 teams are interested in rangers deandre miller so larry brooks is saying that there’s not much serious interest but sarah is saying there’s a ton of interest but look as we move along here to vince magaliano from yesterday as well this is the caveat he says the rangers are seeking their final and best offers this week for keandre miller so what sarah is talking about when it comes to 12 to 15 teams being interested in keandre miller they can just be doing their due diligence but what larry brooks is talking about with few serious teams being interested that goes back to what vince baglaniano is saying that the rangers are seeking their final and best offers because they want to see who is actually interested in making a trade for keandre miller not just teams checking in like sarah said 12 to 15 teams are interested that could just be teams doing their due diligence and checking in to see the availability of keandre miller and maybe if they can buy low on him since the rangers obviously want to move on from him so let’s move right along bullet point number three they have expressed interest in dimmitri veronov could be in a package for keandre miller before i break that down i want to go back to the second bullet point guys because what i forgot to talk about right there is that a oneyear deal is possible and guys we haven’t talked about that much here on the channel that keandre miller can actually come back to the rangers on a one-year deal if they fail to trade him if they fail to receive the package that they are looking for guys so take a look at this quote right here from elliot freriedman so keandre miller is obviously coming off a bridge deal making about $3.82 million aav so while this is generally the time that a player would sign a long-term deal coming off a bridge contract like keandre miller elliot freriedman should suggest that the team isn’t ready to make that commitment at this point with two rfa eligible seasons remaining they could theoretically look to work out a one-year deal but the backdated nature of his bridge deal puts his qualifying offer alone at $4.64 million between that and miller being eligible for salary arbitration even a one-year deal might be costlier than they can afford and guys that is just simply not true the rangers would absolutely be able to afford keandre miller on that one-year deal at $4.64 million which would which would actually be an upgrade from what he is making currently and it could go even beyond that $4.64 million but elliot freriedman was discussing this before the rangers were able to create the cap space flexibility that they have right now so look if the rangers were to bring back keandre miller on a one-year deal this would be beneficial for both parties because while i am of the mindset that the rangers need to move on from keandre miller you cannot simply trade him for a bag of peanuts guys you need to get something in return or at least something you know of of note you know because you don’t want to just give him up for nothing you want to make sure that you clear that salary cap but get like the rangers did for chris cry were able to get a carrie terrence back in return who has some potential here so the rangers don’t just want to give kandre miller away this one-year deal wouldn’t be beneficial for both parties because the rangers would be able to afford it they wouldn’t handicap their cap space situation moving forward especially for next off season which is so crucial and for keandre miller it would be a prove it type deal so he could enhance his market next off season so this would be beneficial for both parties and keandre miller while i want to move on from him he has been solid as a new york ranger he’s been on the decline the last three seasons but every year since he’s been here he’s been a top four defenseman and the last four seasons he’s been in triple digits when it comes to hits so that certainly can’t go unnoticed and under the radar guys going back to bald paneran here to that third bullet point once again they have expressed interest and dmitri veronov from the columbus blue jackets could be in a package for keandre miller and dimmitri veronov is certainly a new name that we haven’t spoken about here yet on the channel this is interesting if the rangers were able to swing a trade for veronov from the blue jackets because if you inserted him at left wing on that excuse me on that third line this would totally change the dynamic of the new york rangers i understand that the rangers have our tammy paneran at first left wing making nearly $12 million but guys we don’t even know if if our tammy paneran will make it past the trade deadline and even if he does i don’t expect him to be back next season folks you have will culie most likely coming back here for the blue shirts he is perfect on that second line at left wing to play on that jt miller line and then just look at that upgrade that veronov would be on the third line you put him there instead of parsonsin he is a 24 year old who is physical standing 6 feet five inches tall at 240 pounds and look on the channel i have compared will culie to chris krider because i think he plays a similar type of offensive game but when i look at dimmitri veronov he really is similar to chris crowder even more so than will culie i would say he’s got the physical trait standing 6’5 so he’s actually taller than both chris krider and will culie and he is 240 lb guys 10 lbs heavier than chris krider and the way he scores he sticks his body in front of that net and he does not move he is just such a presence in front of the net getting those deflection goals those tip-in goals and like i said he is just 24 years of age the rangers have made it obvious that they want to bring more youth more skill to this roster because they have a lot of aging stars some of whom they’ve already moved off of but the rangers aren’t looking to rebuild guys they are looking to retool and the way you do that is bringing in young players that are not question marks that are established players in this league and dimmitri veronov continues to show growth and improvement and i would absolutely be open to bringing him in guys he is a very very good player so let’s take a look at his stats made his debut in the nhl the 2023 2024 season as you can see had a solid rookie year with 34 points but look at the growth he showed last season in his second year increasing both his goal total his assist total his point total and he went from a minus6 to a plus 17 his ice time went up and look what’s really staggering to me is he had 47 points this past season and if we go back to this bald paneran tweet here look at that fourth quote right there that fourth bullet point that the rangers have not shopped alexe lafernier they believe in him well if they believe in alexa lafernier let’s just call it how it is he’s been on the rangers for five years i love the growth that i saw from him those first four years really showing improvement obviously last season his fifth year showed a massive decline but dimmitri veronov was able to score nearly 50 points he was well over 40 points in just his second year in the league to put it in perspective alexe lafernier did not accomplish that feat until his fourth season in the nhl and this is a guy that is a former first overall pick in the 2020 draft so that just goes to show you that veronov is a very very good player what he did in his second year alexe lafrrenier a can’t miss number one overall prospect didn’t accomplish until his fourth season in the nhl but as you can see there from larry brooks the rangers believe in alexi lafrrennier they will not trade him for nothing and look he is a good player i don’t see him ever turning into a star or a superstar like i said i would trade him in the right deal i think he is a good player i believe what we saw last year is an outlier because like i said his track record is there he showed continuous improvement over his first four seasons in the nhl so last year everybody had a down year everybody’s stats regressed for the most part except for the will coulies of the world but for the most part everybody regressed so i’m willing to give him a slight pass there he is a good player but he’s not elite in any category in my mind and he’s already entering his sixth year that is a problem he’s already been here for more than half a decade but there you have it guys those are the tidbits from larry brooks a guy who is very in tune with the new york rangers new york rangers insider i want to hear what you guys have to say down below as you can see here all these four bullet points i want to hear your thoughts in the comments 1. I grudgingly agree about a one year deal for Miller, assuming there was no good offer for him.

Also, you mentioned Miller’s triple digit hits – I, in fact, did not notice those.

  2. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, K'Andre Miller will be back next season. Short term "prove it" deal on the way. If he is traded, I won't be surprised as anything can happen. But I just don't see it. Lots of speculation, lots of rumors from "insider sources" but nothing has happened yet. And my guess is, it won't!

  3. Stop talking about k millers hits!! If you watch, they must be counting pushing skaters into the boards. His hit stats are ridiculously overinflated. He cant lower the (beuka) boom , or level guys like trouba. Stop it ! Hes a stick checker, hes soft!!!

  4. Will ..should get 11.001 ..AAV IS 3.667 for 3 years …if they do 11 mil even ,it would leave too many 66666..Not good luck 😄..Anyway that my thought …LGR !!!

  5. Cuylle and Schneider lock them up, unlock 🔓 key 🔑, GET HIM OUT OF HERE!
Larry, retire and right fiction like you do now, what you do now is not reporting 😂

  6. Not saying Lafreniere has been up to par but let’s not forget his points were almost all 5 v 5. He played pretty well with Chytle and Kakko. I’m giving the Rangers some credit for his demise. Don’t forget they were both consensus #1 & 2 picks. Think that’s more than bad luck drafting.

  7. Any "Master Plan" that involves keeping a soft underperforming seldom checking quitter Laffy is flawed at the outset. He was called out on as many goals needlessly allowed as was K Miller.
