[Music] 9:29 9:30 we’ve got Jake Irvin well I’ll wait for the the graphic to pop up here 929 9:30 we’ve got Jake Irvin and the Nationals at plus 141 jose Soraniano and the Angels – 158 total of 8 and a half with some juice to the over at minus 128 i thought fancy was a good way to describe the judge from the Guinness book girl a streak of paisley if you will a streak of paisley is what I like to say uh I don’t care what they say Kyle it’s a great stash thanks the support stash gets a lot of support around here maybe I just need to stay on the air and just stay right here but uh so Kenny let’s talk about this one here jose Soraniano kind of a wild card if you will this guy can go out and get you two strikeouts and walk seven guys or he can dice up 12 in five innings i ended up taking Soraniano 6 plus Ks at plus 108 and I took the ladder at 7 at plus 191 i also made him the second leg of the Blazing Sevens with Dylan C’s and my reason being I know Washington’s gotten a lot better they’re top five in terms of fewest strikeouts per game i think they’re fourth by the way the difference between having the fourth fewest and the 20th fewest is a is a matter of one strikeout so it’s not that big of a deal but if you look at the nationals over the last couple of weeks especially over their last three games they’re really striking out a lot you got the bottom four teams you know the Angels the Rockies the Yankees and the Red Sox they’re all getting struck out 12 13 times a game and then you look up and there’s Washington right there with them bats have gone cold they’re missing here i like the Sorano Ks one thing I love I know he’s going to get close to 100 pitches they’re not going to do any of this pull him after 70 pitches if he’s pitching well give me Sorano 6Ks at plus 108 i love the 7K’s price at plus 191 and I made him part of the Blazing Sevens what do you think on this one Kenny angels Nationals uh yeah I didn’t even look at the sheet so I didn’t know that you were betting on him today and when I saw this was the next game on the dock and I immediately went and looked and I’m with you i’m going to take it jose Soraniano over over five and a half strikeouts

he’s clearly he’s found something uh found something recently stuff’s good fast ball velocity is very good it’s up a little bit from last year and then to your point about Washington again on the season uh not a not not a big strikeout team and this has really been the MO of the Nationals for the last couple of years i mean even when they haven’t been good they just they always had a lot of contact guys um last three games they’ve been getting carved up and and Soraniano is in a groove right now 10ks 6Ks 12Ks in his last three starts um much better strikeout ratio at home i doubt that really means much but I’m just cherrypicking stats to you know boost my confidence here but I do I think to get I think to get plus money on six when he’s you know nearly doubled this number in two out of his last three i think you got to ride the hot hand here so Jos Soraniano five and a halfks
yeah he’s adding that in that’s official there for Gabe in the in the back there at plus 108 bdub what do you think here reaching a little bit with Sorano what What do you think about Sorano he’s been he’s real up and down he’s real you know real electric sometimes and can be a little wild at other times what do you got here nats angels yeah he’s been good from a uh if you’re looking from a a micro analysis standpoint last few games in fact his last two home games adjusted strikeout percentage were almost elite well more than elite a 45 44.5 center uh against Athletics and then 35.7 versus the Astros so really good two recent home starts i think if you look at more of a a larger sample it kind of the flavor kind of gets a little bit sour if you will uh you look at his his last 17 median it’s in the seventh percentile uh and then like I said you know that’s not to say that that’s the that’s the
the number that I use uh that I think is is the most optimal but there’s I mean if there was one great number to use everybody’ be using it we wouldn’t be able to bet so I I think your analysis was good and I think that that’s that’s a possibility that’s going to hit i like the Nationals here plus one and a half personally I I don’t think this g this thing should be priced that much there’s not much between these teams uh you look at the Angels offense 25th in baseball uh and then I’ve got the Washington Nationals 23rd uh both bullpens poor last 27th Angels 29th uh Washington and and the way that I’m kind of analyzing the pitcher there’s not that much between the pitchers i I think it’s a good play uh Nationals plus one and a half Kyle
love that so for purposes of the show I’m locking in Sorano 6Ks plus 108 going to take the ladder to seven at plus 191 kenny’s jumping on the train he’s going to back makes me feel a lot better about this one soraniano 6Ks plus 108 well if I be able to get the get the uh thing your you to hit your K-prop and then the other team because I had Houston yesterday you hit your K-prop and I I got Houston so that that’s always good when that happens yeah
i got to tell you Christopher Sanchez that’s one thing I’ve gotten right this year i talked about him on our first show this year i love that kid i think he’s absolutely sensational he’s going to be one of the best lefties in I I love
well their starting pitching looks good with Suarez and Sanchez and Wheeler but somebody’s got to tell them “Hey you guys got to score a couple runs to win the game.” What what a terrible output that was that was just in and they you know the hitters are better than that so may who are they playing i almost just like like principally going up against Bryce Elder maybe Philly’s team total just on that that’s a good idea
and meanwhile you got Max Kepler who isn’t who can’t even hit his body weight is bitching about not being in an everyday outfielder apparently he was told that they’re not going to platoon him as much and I he thought he would get some more reps against lefties well you’re batting barely above 200 maybe now’s not the time to about not playing
agreed i could not agree more uh by the way just a little note here on this game or not on this game but on the Phillies look at Castanos off of Bryce Elia six plate appearances three hits all three home runs so I So I don’t know if that was all one game i don’t know the situation around
somebody needs to tell Elder all he’s got to do on the first pitch is to like bounce a ball to the outside part of the plate and Costa will swing swing on it i mean how many times have you seen that with that guy it’s crazy
he’s been a lot He’s been a lot better this year you got to You got to look at his uh his like his take percentage is way up this year he’s been way more patient and that’s that’s why he’s been way more consistent this year cuz I agree with you i mean watching him chase first pitch sliders has been insufferable for three years now
i mean you get three three swings at it right so maybe guess on the first pitch but man he looks awful so he’ll be guessing fast ball and the guy bounces a crappy slider there and swings at it yeah it’s comical actually
