[Music] uh 90910 We’ve got Yuri Perez and the Marlins at plus 146 Mel Kelly Diamondbacks – 165 His total of 8 and a half is flat across the board at minus 110 So I love a play in this game But before we talk about anything I like that this game’s up because I owe Keel Marte an apology I was just dead wrong flat And it really kind of hit me yesterday Uh my mom and I are very very close We’re having a big party for her retirement this weekend And as I’m thinking about it there has been instances if like if someone I I put myself in those shoes which I didn’t do the other day and I was just dead wrong my analysis on him If someone said something about my mom it may not make me ball like I’m a sobbing baby but it would piss me off to the point where I would probably be in tears because I’d want to be able to There’s something so frustrating about some little punk son of a running their mouth and knowing you could go into those stands and beat the piss out of them but you’re absolutely not allowed to There’s a lot of frustration with that and a lot of anger I’m sure that went with that and then it brings up the memory So I was wrong I owe Marte an apology I was a dumbass on that one
Did anything come out like again just not not to rehash this for like the fifth time
Do do we know what any context of what was said or anything and by just I want to very I want to clarify very much here Like I am I am not rushing to defend this piece of White Sox fan I mean I’m sure he’s a total scumbag and deserves what’s coming to him I just all I wanted to know was like did he know that Marte’s mother passed away and was making direct comments about that or was he being a dumb drunk fan and saying a generic
your mom thing which is still up but like yeah
that was I just want to know like did he do research know that his mother tragically passed and then was making direct comments about that if so I mean him even more but
I know he got banned from every stadium in baseball He did is apologize admitting what he said was wrong We still don’t know what he said but he’s banned from every state He’s only 22 years old He’ll never be able to go to another major league stadium again So he’s getting that But uh I feel like I was a little quick to just call him a baby when uh honestly I could see the anger and just like if I was if I wanted to beat the hell out of someone so bad and I wouldn’t be allowed to do it I could see that frustration boiling over as well and the emotions spilling out But for purposes of this game I’m doing another strikeout ladder and it’s the third leg of the Blazing Sevens parlay I like Mel Kelly’s 6Ks at minus 106 Mel Kelly’s 7Ks at plus 168 All three of those are going to be the Blazing Sevens parlay by the way C Soraniano and Kelly I was going to do a half unit but I made it a full unit at 12 to one That’s the Blazing Sevens today 12 to1 C Sorano Kelly But beat up I like Mel Kelly here He’s a five pitch pitcher He mixes it up He’s got good putaway stuff He’s gonna go 100 pitches right now with the He’s the number one starter on this team I think he gets to sixks I laded him up to seven What do you think here diamondbacks Marlins beat up
Yeah it’s a good point about him They’re going to have to they’re going to try to use him to go deep into the game Uh and I think that that’s I mean that’s what they have to do with this bullpen and the way that their starting pitching has played Yeah the last two games uh adjusted at home uh 35% and 33% strikeout percentage That’s not a that’s not a bad idea there I I’ve got the the Dbacks priced at minus 218 and and I decided to to leave them off the card There’s just so much uncertainty with that team I don’t know how how much they can they can deal with it It’s it’s it’s really you know pardon the pun but they’re really they’ve been snake bit with injuries and uh I don’t know if Suarez is going to go tonight He’s in the lineup Uh but uh I I think that they might keep him out because of that hand Um and and really you got to you Marte you got to give hats off to this guy He’s third in the base winner number He’s been on a tear and you can see like he’s really struggling with that That really kind of kind of got him very upset So he’s going through that and what a professional guy to come back and and be able to produce like he’s produced And he’s really uh he’s I hope they don’t get rid of him whatever they do Uh and you know Carol’s on the bench and stuff So the model still still likes them I still like their offense even with Carol out third in baseball So they got some good pieces there Uh but uh I’m gonna I’m gonna pass on this game personally tonight even though from a modeling standpoint the model indicates value with with the Dbacks Yeah Yeah Interesting spot here What do you think you’re here Kenny we got Yuri Perez I like Yuri Perez I think the Marlins have a couple of guys Yuri Perez and Edward Cabrera who are fun to watch pitch Uh I think Mel Kelly goes deep enough and gets those strikeouts against the feisty Marlins offense This is not some just like pushover offense in Miami They got some good pieces there Uh what do you think here marlins Diamondbacks Kenny
Yeah I’m I’m going to back Perez here Uh another live ad so I got four plays in the card today So I’m I’m I’m trying to dig but I do think there’s a lot of fun spots today uh Yuri Perez over four and a half strikeouts Uh so he’s he’s three starts uh this season coming back from Tommy John after missing all of last year And I know that that you look at like the box scores they don’t look great but the the stuff has been good And the the control issues he’s had two three and two walks in each of his first three starts And that’s pretty pretty uncharacteristic from him I just I I think the more reps he gets you know the the more the more comfortable he gets Um and more so I like that they let him throw 89 pitches last game in a game where he really didn’t have some of his best stuff So I I feel like he’s pretty much got all the training wheels off here For his career he is far better than a strikeout per inning guy I think we’re going to get a minimum of five maybe six innings here if he’s dealing So I I think there’s a lot of upside with Perez Um and to you to beat up’s point with all of the Diamondbacks injuries I just think there’s there’s a lot more strikeout targets in this lineup I mean the bottom of this order is is is awful right now So I’m going to I’m going to back Yuri Perez He he might get teed up He might give might give up five runs but I think he can still give you five strikeouts in three innings Worst case scenario
Yeah And he should he should get around 90 pitches I think they upped him to like 89 in his last start Something like that 85 89 pitches So you get 90 pitches five strikeouts for a guy like Yuri Perez is certainly doable So for purposes of the show I am locking in Mel Kelly 6Ks atus 106 lading up to 7Ks at plus 168 It’s also a part of the Blazing Sevens parlay We’ve got Dylan C Soraniano Mel Kelly at 12 to1 and Kenny’s going to lock in Yuri Perez over 4 and a half strikeouts and that’s at minus 107 [Music] [Music]
