Dodgers vs. Royals Game Highlights (6/27/25) | MLB Highlights

tough test for left-hander Noah Cameron He makes his ninth career start He begins his night by facing Shi Otani But as we were just discussing Noah Cameron has been unfased A 2.08 erra through his first eight starts He has been phenomenal
Otani hits a high fly ball to right field in the Sun Kagleon He turns and watches it fly into the fountains 29th of the season and his eighth leadoff home run One- nothing Dodgers in a hurry
It is showtime early in Kansas City and he’s just scored his major league best 81st run of the season May four and five 446 the ERA Dustin has been very consistent in the fact that he has made every start this year This is his 15th
India tries to check his swing but cannot And now Bobby Wit Jr And it’s slashed to right field T Oscar Hernandez drifting back Handles the line drive No problem despite the sun blaring down on him Two away
Two up two down Here’s Mikel Garcia
Line like a bullet into left field And that may be extra bases Garcia around first on his way to second base with a double So the Royals get their first hit Dustin May left a pitch right in the middle of the plate and Garcia wasn’t about to let that thing go by The tying run is at second base with two down for Vinnie Pasquantino And it’s a fast ball outside So now Salvador Perez Salvi hitting 232 He’s homered nine times He’s driven in 41
Stroke to left That’s a base hit Hernandez has it on a bounce Garcia’s trying to score Throws way high and the Royals tie the game at one A big hit from Salvador Perez Two in scoring position for Jack Kagleion 30th pitch of the inning coming from Dustin May Dribble to the right side and May makes the play himself
and at the end of one we’re tied at one
Dodgers and Royals even at one Tani lead off home run and then a Royal two out rally He pitches at the top of the zone but called ball four Two out walk for Edmond Bring up the hottest Dodger Two outs Run on first Game tied at one 3-1 He lets it rip High in the air deep center Did he get enough maxy does it again Max Power and the latest go-ahad blast for Muny
Muny with his 13th home run And the Dodgers lead it three to one
Three to one Dodgers Bottom of inning number two And John Ray will be first up There it is A lead off one Brings up Freddy Fmain Two-1 pitch There goes Ray from first pitch way low and outside and Dodgers are very fortunate that throw from the catcher didn’t end up in center field
Nothing in it Edmond’s got it behind the bag John Ray the third
That brings up Royals number nine hitter Kyle Isel up there with a chance to add to his RBI total right here
That’ll work too
Plenty deep enough
Nice and Hernandez in easily and Isbell’s over to second It’s three to two Kioscar Hernandez going back and looked like he was set to make the play but it sailed over his head and now it’s three to2 and now it’s up to Bobby Wit get the game tied or put the Royals up deep to left center field It’s carrying toward the seats and gone A big swing and the Royals have taken the lead Bobby Wit got a spinner right in the middle of the plate And good hitters No way they’re going to let that pitch go by Bobby Wit with his 11th home run It is 4 to3 Royals here in the second inning The third inning And neither pitcher neither starter has put a zero on the board yet Had three home runs already We’ve had two walks come around to score Tani takes outside and now he’s on to the lead off walk That’s Cameron’s second
One two and Cameron gets him with the change
Oh yeah see that’s where you want to put that change up Just out of their reach
Two KS now for Cameron on the ground at third Garcia backhands There’s one and it’s offline So the Royals do not get the double play
Nice try Everything was right
Throw just pulled off Salvia 10 Hernandez takes off for second and Fine’s throw goes into center Now Hernandez is trying for third and he gets there So the pitch in the dirt winds up leading to two bases Freeman swings and misses and strikes out on a curve ball So the Dodgers are scoreless in the third inning Cameron strikes out two and works around the leadoff walk And Bobby Jr comes up now Now he has a chance to extend the Royals lead here with two on two out Royals four Dodgers three in the bottom of the fourth Isbell’s at second base India is at first First pitch goes to the hard stuff Popped in the air Freddy Freeman hustling after it Will Smith didn’t see it but Freddy makes the catch
Nothing across for Kansas City And after four full it’s the Royals four Dodgers three Hernandez walks and the leadoff man aboard Tying run going down to first base And here comes Otani He swings belts it into the gap in right center field That’s going to split the outfielders He’ll be able to run for a while Kik around second On his way to third touches third He comes in to tie the game Here comes Otani into third with a runcoring triple Otani ties the game with his seventh triple of the season It is four to four Game tied at four The infield comes in for KC The first pitch to Bets is a base hit up the middle Otani scores and the Dodgers hop back in front
It is five to four
Here comes Taylor Clark with two down Seventh inning The Dodgers lead 5-4 Muki Betts is one for three with an RBI single He has the go-ahad RBI for the Dodgers tonight with a 5-4 lead in the seventh Late to third and Garcia makes a great snare What a play
Great play on a tough play 102 off the bat and over spin and Mel reached with a backhand and picked it on a short hop and threw him out
A standup double and a two strike count for Pascantino puts the tying run in position to score in the bottom of the seventh They’re going to intentionally walk Salvador Perez [Applause] with first base open Get the left-handed hitter the rookie Jack Kaggleó He struck him out The Royals strand the tying and go ahead runs on base in the bottom of the seventh inning
So now KK Hernandez go for two A walker runs scored You do not want to face Otani here in the ninth Garcia what a night he’s having defensively Take a bow
So here we go Bottom of the ninth The Dodgers and Royals combined for seven runs the first two innings tonight Just two runs since They both belong to the Dodgers A 5-4 lead handed to Tanner Scott for the bottom of the ninth Called strike three
Jawing with home plate umpire Alex Tossi on his way back to the first base dugout Oh that’s a big strike out for Tanner Scott And there’s one away
Well he also keeps the speed off the bases on top of it Wet thought it was low It looked a little low
And the bases will be loaded Salvador Perez brief one over first base and now just a single could win the game And who comes to the plate jack Kaggleó Stage is set for Magic
First pitch Crown ball to the right side Edmond Betts Bets to Freeman The pick in time Freddy Freeman saves the day
That’s it That’s a win for LA Another double play induced by Tanner Scott The Dodgers hang on 54 Freddy doing it with the glove There is nothing easy about that pick It’s a sidearm throw so it’s got some English on it He stays down able to grab it Gets the save along with Tanner Scott tonight for the Dodgers Oh yeah

  1. it must be the ohtani era, espn line for his start vs royals saturday reflects only his hitting stats. against kaycee's '24 cy young candidate s.lugo. and ohtani's favored. crazy

  2. Mookie had to get rid of the ball quick with the speed , Thank God for Freddie. Scott still scares me in a tight game. Hope Treinen will be back soon

  3. Los Dodgers jugaron a la perfección Ohotani con su jonrón y el triple, Muncy, con su jonrón y Freeman en la primera basé que es muy seguro, Felicidades a los DODGERS por su victoria 👌👌👌👌

  4. Scott is only trying to save his career at this point. I’ll have to look at the stats but man does anyone else feel like the game was a going to be closed when he is out there? I sure don’t.

  5. The Royals might have had a better chance of winning this game if not for the bad call by the stupid umpire on the first hitter in the 9th inning!
