i think this is an important inning on the mound for him in this game he’s got to find a way to settle things down and give some length in this start fast ball for a strike at 95 doublebarreled action in the bullpen jose Soraniano the right-handed sinker baller he looks to be readying himself bachmann getting cranked up as well swinging a foul straight back and he chases that one that K is his third of the game

he’s having a ton of success facing left-handed hitters this season so this seems like a smart move to turn to him with a lefty at the plate one out runner at second next a hit for the Nats dalen Lyall singled and drove in a run his first time through that one misses and that’s ball one one out and a runner at second and another ball that one finds the zone two balls in a strike
well that’s really the money spot down and away if you can locate that consistently it’s going to be real tough for hitters to square that up that’s what you love to see relievers do coming out of that bullpen soraniano checks the runner and he’s back in safely one out and a runner at second we’re here in the top half of inning number three ground ball left side jumps throws on the money nice play my goodness Chris he had to generate a ton of power in that jump throw for the out let’s take another look and dive into the numbers from Stackcast

well these Nats putting together some really good at bats in this game there’s been a lot to like with how they’re approaching their chances at the plate it looked to me like they really wanted to get to the starter early get him out of the game before he settles in so I’d say mission accomplished that’s off the mark and it’s two and one two-1 and a big swing and a miss
good late sink on that fast ball out of the hand looks so good and then by the time he gets in the hitting zone hard to get the barrel to it and a foul ball he stays alive next offering is downstairs popped up left side it’s

this kid picked up in a trade a lot was offered and given to get him but he’s got a real high ceiling first pitch doesn’t find the zone coach 24 years old and he was a third round pick back in 2019 and that one wrapped foul the one-1 is fouled off knocks that one away and we’ll do it again one and two now and that’s down and away he should get a pretty good pitch to hit here with the three-hole hitter coming up if he’s walked that one misses so lead off walk that is Here’s the second base Luis Garcia he’s got a couple homers already so can he possibly do it again
