The Detroit Pistons select CHAZ LANIER with the 37th Pick in the 2025 NBA Draft

with the 37th pick the Detroit Pistons select Chaz Lane Lenir i want to dive into why I think he is the perfect selection for the Detroit Pistons but first I want to give a shout out to all y’all who’ve been following my channel who support smaller channels uh grassroots people who are from the community um and not just mainstream you know videos who have all the tricks and gimmicks i mean it’s cool but I also think it’s cool to support the everyday YouTuber who just loves the sport and loves your team but let’s get into Chaz Laneir at about 63 and a half without shoes so he’s about 6’4 and a half 6’5 compares favorably between Tim Hardaway Jr and Malik Beasley but what I love most about him is he’s an absolute dog he is a guy who has had to grind from the bottom to get to where he is today i I just I did a whole lot of research on him and we learned about his story he was like 5 foot6 in high school even though he had a 6’5 dad and a 6’6 brother and all this stuff he had a late growth spurt so he had to learn to play the small man’s game moving quickly high arcing shot quick release he had to do all the little things and when he got his growth spurt to about 6’3 and a half 6’4 then all of a sudden he put it all together it still didn’t earn him any first round um not first round draft picks it still didn’t earn him any um full ride scholarships to division one universities he ended up going to I believe Southern Florida some something like that um or Eastern Florida balled out over there and then he got a shot in the transfer portal to get to Tennessee shout out to the transfer portal then at Tennessee he just lit the world on fire he shot lights out and if you watch his highlights he it looks like a bigger Malik Beasley a longer Desmond Bane and that’s who my closest comparison is is Desmond Bane his ability to catch and release within a split second and have deep range that’s just absolute water is uncanny it’s one of those uh uh few traits that only a few shooters get where they have a level of confidence in such a compact shot that they don’t need but a blink of an instance in order to get that shot off and I think he can come in immediately and help out the Detroit Pistons now this is the thing when it comes to rebuilding or building a championship contending teams you want to make the right moves not just a move and when everyone is shouting out what the Detroit Pistons should do I think this is the right move not just a move it saves them money not having to resign Tim Hardway Jr or Malik Beasley and it allows him to get a guy who’s ready to play right now at 65 210 215 pounds he’s physically ready he has a game that’s mature and I think he’d come in next season and be a big contributor for the Detroit Pistons playoff run let me know what you think in the comments section i’m going get at y’all next time peace

  1. There is no way we’re gonna depend upon a rookie no matter who they are and not sign veterans especially with how young our core is.

  2. Well said! Love what he can bring to our shooting culture so fun to be a pistons fan in this position we have our identity and don’t need to worry about hitting a home run now we can actually build around what we already have! Deeeeeeeeetrroooooiiitttt BASKETBALLLLLLLLLLLL

  3. Either him or Koby brea to replace thj or Beas… select whoever is the better defender. If both are gone at 37 then I’d like them to get johnni broom. He’s older and I think he can play right away. Duren is good enough handling the ball to play PF

  4. He looks too good to be true. Great size. Great stroke. Great body. Why was he still available? I like the pick. I love your analysis. 🫵🏽🫵🏽
