Rough one for Nolan today 🤣
Could’ve gone better lol
Everything after the 8th inning was fucking embarrassing. They earned that loss.
These guys need to hold each other accountable for why there’s a clear lack of focus in these series. Some guys aren’t showing up against “lesser competition” and frankly they need a kick in the ass.
Someone let me know when LA-skyline wakes up to reality
That did not spark joy
Whole series felt kinda unlucky, gotta just move on and focus on the next series (and going back to .500 again… and then again once more)
Two errors by Nolan. Newman still bad at defense. Rengifo can’t bunt so he doesn’t move the runner over.
Bad fundamentals. Bad fucking game.
We’re gonna finish 81-81, huh? Lol
I’m tired of this team losing series to bad teams
The most predictable series loss of the season
Have we won a single day game this season?
I hope we DFA Newman soon 🙂
Just tragic terrible way to lose
Suckage! On to ATL
Hard to take this team seriously as a potential playoff team when they lose series to teams like the Nationals and Marlins
They just gave the game away, need to play better than that
Tough one, hopefully the off day lets them refocus
Pretty much gave away both losses in this series. Beyond frustrating
This team will do anything except for make it over .500
Lets break it down:
Start off with Ray: Terrible lineup today….if Travis and O’Hoppe are both in the lineup than O’Hoppe needs to be DHing, bottom line….if Neto is able to play SS then he should be starting at SS….also Trout does not need a day off with a day off last thursday and a day off tomorrow, especially since he’s DH’ing…finally, Ray’s choice to not have Wade bunt, or atleats PH Kingery to bunt is mind boggling.
Nolan: Awful game, has looked lost the last few days, needs to pull it together, loss is mainly on him today
Newman: you are there for defense, you apparently can’t play defense, get off my team
Ward: Nice 3 doubles to start his day…yet completely tarnished it with his last AB…I can literally not wait for the moment he gets traded, I’m so tired of watching him in the OF and at the plate, he is so incredibly frustrating to watch
Finally Barry: Get your pitchers to stop walking so many batters ffs
Amazing that the Angels technically had zero errors in that game. Lots of mental errors
Disappointing game that could’ve easily been won. But that’s baseball, time to move onto a tough July schedule.
You can blame Schanny, Newman, Ward, whoever but ultimately the decisions Ray Montgomery made cost the team the game. Bunting Rengifo is something Wash would have done and is the reason why the team does well in extra innings and one run games.
That fucking Ward strikeout in the 10th was embarrassing
Great game by Ward but watching him look at 3 straight strikes right down the middle in the 10th inning when the guy in front of him was intentionally walked is infuriating
Thanks Schanuel. Can you at least work on your defense if you’re gonna have little power and speed? He’s had so many mental lapses defensively this year too
Monty is a fish out of water. Made mistakes in Friday’s game too
Equivalent to saying that Hayes two-run single for the Pirates in the first inning “ended the game” today when the pirates won 12-1
It hurts to hear, but we are overperforming every single predictive measure. This is not a good team. A series loss to the Nationals is just more balance to the universe.
We will keep fighting for a wildcard spot, but that does not mean we are good. Look at all the teams above us. They are SO MUCH better for the short and long term it’s insane.
