REACTION: Miami Dolphins Should Sign Keenan Allen……….SMH

ah I know And this is why I’m making the video I know I know you already commented I know [Music] What is up Finn fans happy Monday morning to y’all Hope you’re having a fantastic Monday Hope you had a fantastic weekend We got the 4th of July is on Friday which means for some of you I don’t know how many of you guys have off on Friday for the 4th of July but it’s a 4-day work week which is fantastic and we get to celebrate the freedoms that I’m I’m going to stop there because politics anyway So I know you see the title and if you notice I put reaction and then I put what the title is because I know what you’re going to say Why are you even talking about it Doug what What is this even going to do who gives a crap blah blah blah blah blah I started this channel because I wanted to you know give my voice my opinion take what I do you know my degree in bachelor’s degree in film and and audio and media and I want to take my love and knowledge of football and my love of the Dolphins and I also wanted to build a community where everyone can talk and all this stuff So the 52,000 plus subscribers I have if enough come to me and say “Hey Doug.” And 20,000 plus on Twitter if they come to me and say “Hey Doug what do you think of this?” I’m going to talk about it So enough of you guys came to me asking me about this ESPN article written by Aaron Shatz SHTZ I’ll put I’ll link it in the description the article if you want to go read the entire article But he made a whole article proposing one final offseason move for all 32 NFL teams And what did he have the Miami Dolphins doing he had the Dolphins signing Keenan Allen He says Tyreek Hill and Jaylen W give the Dolphins two excellent outside receivers but there are questions about the slot right now Miami’s top slot option are the Washington not brothers What is it that’s horrible Two lower round draft picks a year ago in 2024 Malik Washington just had 26 catches for 223 yards with no touchdowns While Taj Washington missed his entire rookie season with an undisclosed injury Uh that makes him Miami perfect landing spot for seasoned veteran slot receiver like Allen Allen is 33 but still had seven catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in Chicago a season ago He did poorly ESPN’s receiving tracking matrix metrics last season but still got open and indicated by his five 50 57 open score Hill and Wadd would give Allen a ton of room to work underneath giving quarterback Tua Tonga a nice security blanket No No No no It doesn’t make any sense for the Miami Dolphins who have no starting corner who have just needed depth at the offensive line which I am talking about tomorrow in our camp position battle video that they would go out and sign Keenan Allen What is Keenan Allen’s even asking price let me go to spot track to even look up what his his asking price could possibly be because it it it it makes no sense It makes no sense at all Let’s see Let’s see Let’s see Why receivers okay here we go Uh Jameson Keenan Allen Look at this Would you look at this would you look at this i’m put myself up here Keenan Allen right here $11 million This is his market value Now obviously he’s not going to get $11 million because he’s still a free agent Like his contract that he signed with Chicago was you can’t even see it Uh he got $23 million for his one year in Chicago No no The Miami Dolphins need a lot more We’re sitting here at $13 million in cap space We still haven’t traded Jaylen Ramsey There’s talks that he might not get traded because what the Dolphins are asking for but if they do trade him then we sit at 23 and then all of a sudden things get talking about and all right maybe we go out there and you know whatever But we h we have needs at corner Like I said we have needs at depth at offensive line to bring in Keenan Allen just makes zero sense And some of the comments that I popped up and there were a lot more that I could have filled the screen up with even more a lot of them were talking about that they need a big body receiver they need a guy for the red zone and you know they need you know this and that which I don’t disagree You guys know how I feel about you know the fact that you know our top two wide receivers are under six foot but they brought in Westbrook Now is Westbrook Keenan Allen honestly Keenan Allen’s 33 Westbrook is not 33 So you know you asking me today obviously no Keenan Allen is you know a different type of receiver than Westbrook But we saw what Westbrook can do with less receing to him and he you know pretty well What do you have nine touchdowns last year So and then we have some other guys we brought in But it just right now you’re gonna go out there and you’re going to spend money because what Jaier got roughly 6 million that’s max and that’s a team friendly deal Jaire got cuz Jaier took less money to go play with his boy uh Lamar Jackson So if he wasn’t going to Lamar Jackson he probably is getting an $8 million contract you know maxed out at 8 million with incentives So you want to go out now not everybody but there are some in the fan base that want or even I’m not even going to say you as fan bases I’m going to say Aaron Schultz Just so you just so you know who I’m talking about real quick I just want you guys to know this gentleman right here You see him in the bottom corner this is the article Aaron Schultz Shhatz Aaron Shhatz He wants the Miami Dolphins to go out and roughly probably spend without trade We We haven’t even traded Jaylen Rams yet So we’re sitting at $13.7 million half of that budget on a third wide receiver on a slot wide receiver When Malik has shown great promise and we brought in Westbrook how much is Westbrook getting paid he’s probably getting paid nothing If if uh his cap hits 1.6 million it’s nothing But it’s guaranteed Um but it’s nothing It’s 1.6 million It just makes no sense it it that like to come on here and say proposing one final offseason move for all 32 NFL teams and he comes out here and he says Keenan Allen like are you are you kidding me right now instead of coming out here and talking about Raul Douglas talking about uh let me raffle off some corners that I’m looking at right now Douglas Samuel Jr you know any of these types of guys Mike Hilton Stfan Gilmore James Bradberry like any of those types of players he come like Russ Douglas on on spot track is $11 million is his is his um market but no we’re going to go and sign a slot receiver and we’ll be good at corner our depth that offensive line because you know we have Austin Jackson coming off an injury We have James Daniels coming off an injury Patrick Paul hopefully he has a great sophomore year and really learned from Toronto Armstead But we have that And our six is Liam Iikenberg We’re good Let’s go get Keenan Allen Just I don’t mean to poop on Aaron Chat’s paw That is bad Like who else what does he have here he has Buffalo going after Oh okay So one final offseason move He has Buffalo extending their left guard He has New England extending their corner He has the Jets extending Sauce Garner and Garrett Wilson Doesn’t have the Dolphins extending Caler No go spend money on Keenan Allen Baltimore extending Lamar Jackson Cincinnati solving the Shamar Stewart problem Cleveland makes some decisions on the offensive line Pittsburgh extend TJ Watt Oh he has Houston signing Ros Douglas Is Indie signing Justin Simmons but no he has the Dolphins going after a wide receiver our biggest need right now I’m looking at all these and he has people mostly getting extended except for the Dolphins Bring back Zidarius Smith for Detroit sign Matt Judon for Minnesota He has the Giants trading edge rusher uh Kavon Tibido and the Dolphins are he has the Dolphins going out and signing Keenan Allen 33 wide 33y old wide receiver Not saying he can’t do it anymore but let’s focus on a position that is in a need and position that’s not going to really do much in moving the needle for this team to be competitive this season No And again like I said you guys ask me enough you guys want a video made enough you guys want me to talk about a topic enough I will talk about it I do these for you some for me It is fun for me and I like talking about things and venting about things but mostly it’s for you So you want me to you say enough times to do it I’m do it and I did it No it doesn’t make any sense financially situationally teamwise needwise case it just doesn’t make any sense So Chris Weer is going to do it and then you know we’ll see how that goes Uh uh tomorrow we are breaking down the offensive line camp position battles Then uh so in two weeks from tomorrow the rookies have to report to training camp Then the following Tuesday after that the 22nd the vets and then I think they get to work on the field on the 23rd and then camp is officially open to the public on the 26th So we’re getting there We got about three more weeks and then things are going to start steamrolling So tomorrow’s offensive line Friday’s defensive line Monday I’m talking pass rushers then the 11th is linebackers 14th is corners and then we finish our camp position battles on the 18th talking about safeties So we’re almost there We got about what uh six more episodes of that And in between I’m going to do other things I’m going to do a Q&A I think Wednesday’s video I’ll tell you guys to leave questions for Q&A And I’m going to go live I think I’m going to go live one of these Wednesdays or something and uh do a Q&A that way But other than that
