Cleveland Browns Could Make The Next BLOCKBUSTER NFL Trade

we’ve got a lot to talk about because a blockbuster NFL trade went down earlier today and the Cleveland Browns are going to be implicated in this trade indirectly or possibly even directly over the next couple of days and weeks so let’s talk about it because the Pittsburgh Steelers made a huge trade dealing Minka Fitzpatrick and a draft pick for John U Smith and Jaylen Ramsay so my reaction to this from like an NFC sorry AFC North standpoint is the Pittsburgh Steelers are trotting out one hell of a like ancient lineup this year they’ve got Aaron Rodgers at quarterback Jaylen Ramsay at cornerback this is a old group of players the Steelers are putting out there it what feels like a one last ditch effort year after year after year and on top of that they’re making this move for Ramsay they’re trading Minka away and TJ Watt is still in a holding pattern with his contract so as we all get ready for the Fourth of July let me gas you up a little bit let me tell you right now what you want to hear and that is the Steelers their time is done it’s over i’ll be your Herb Brooks right now and say they are not going to be running this division not that they even have been for the last five years but that below 500 season is coming for Mike this year they are trying to squeeze the last little bit of football juice out of players that maybe still have something left in the tank but I don’t think it’s going to live up to their expectations and you toss that in with a hand grenade that is TJ W potentially holding out this has circus written all over it so for the Bengals the Browns and the Ravens these are moves that I guess credit to the Steelers for at least having you know the balls to do it like you know what we’re not going to sit on our hands we’re going to make some aggressive type transactions we’re going to trade George Pickkins away we’re going to go after older players like Aaron Rogers and Jaylen Ramsay and John Smith and it’s better to see you know your team in this situation do something rather than nothing but I’m glad my team’s not the Steelers because I don’t like these moves for them for 2025 but that was the big blockbuster NFL trade which you hardly see blockbuster NFL trades happen in between mandatory mini camp which is like mid June to the start of training camp which is the end of July so a huge flurry of NFL you know news and trades happening today the Browns the Bengals and the Ravens they are indirectly you know a part of these trades because they get to face the Steelers twice and this Steelers offense and now defense is going to see a very different look a brand new starting quarterback i mean it’s like the fourth or fifth straight year the Steelers are trotting out a different week one starting quarterback and then I mean go with it you know Aaron Rogers this year last year was Justin Fields the year before that was Kenny Picket the year before that was Mitch Trabiscyki year before that was Ben Rothosberger i think I got it right so five straight years of a new unique week one starting quarterback um and I just I really feel like the time for the Steelers of leaning and banking on their defense is going to catch up to them with their star player on defense probably not very thrilled right now with the current contract status going on between him and the team now that’s how this trade indirectly impacts the Browns i think it directly impacts the Browns as well because there’s now a vacancy in Miami for a starting tight end john Smith going to Pittsburgh reuniting with Arthur Smith the two work together in Atlanta would it be out of the realm of possibility for Miami to call up the Browns and inquire about David and Joker’s availability is that really that big of a leap i don’t I don’t think so i don’t think the Dolphins are looking to punt on this upcoming season i I don’t I’m not sure what their vision is if they’re just like we’re going to offload older players but whatever their vision is put that to the side i think Enjoku could be a part of what the Dolphins would like to do and if you’re the Browns I think you listen i don’t think you’re looking to trade away core members of your locker room but I think Andrew Barry is not someone who is motivated by um like emotion but he’s more motivated by logic and reason if he was a if he was an emotionally driven guy Nick Chub would still be a Cleveland Brown right can we agree on that so the fact that he’s not driven by emotion it would be an Andrew Barry if he was just looking at everyone like a number like if if Andrew Barry was just playing moneyball which with Deep Podesta you kind of are actually anyway if a team wants to call and offer a draft pick for a guy entering the final year of their contract that’s knocking on the uh door of 30 years old who’s had some injury issues and you just drafted a tight end in round three of the NFL draft doesn’t seem like a stretch for Barry to entertain a trade that’s where I just want us to find some common ground on that Andrew Barry could very well entertain a trade if someone wants to give him a very fair price for his aging i don’t want to like just diminish in Jooku but we’re going to call it facts of facts he’s approaching 30 and he’s dealt with injuries the last couple of years so you put all that together and I think you get someone who at least picks up the phone and goes “What do you want to offer me?” Right you he he was not doing that with Miles Garrett he was not answering the phone with Miles i think he would answer the phone for a price inquiry for the Chief now personally I don’t want to say I don’t want to trade Injoku because I really love Injoku in Cleveland because I love how much he has embodied the city so I don’t want to actively try and trade those types of people away but I don’t think this team is going very far this year right if they had in my belief the quarterback of the future on the roster if they like sorry hater I I don’t think Dylan Gabriel Shador Sanders Kenny Picker Joe Flacco is going to be this team starting quarterback three years from now but if they were to have had the young quarterback then I’d be hey you know what i’d rather keep a key piece for that young quarterback’s development then get a draft pick but because I don’t think that there is that young quarterback that needs to have that great blanket safety tight end to throw to to help progress them along i’m more receptive to seeing can you take the Dolphins for a ride can you make Miami give you an unbelievable ridiculous offer if the answer is yes then I’m going to think long and hard about it and I I might end up pulling the trigger on it you know you’ve got Fannon already in the wings so sure maybe you speed along his timeline a little bit but you’re not completely doomed or screwed a tight end it’d be something that I would look into now like I said if you felt like this young quarterback on your roster was going to be there for a long time then it’s probably not worth it because if you were to trade in Jooku away whatever draft pick you get back does not help you this upcoming season whereas if you traded him back in March whatever draft pick you got from the Dolphins or any team you could then use that pick in the draft to get a player to help you for 2025 but because you’re not getting anything to assist you for this upcoming season you have to ask for more than what he’s worth you got to go to the Dolphins and say “Listen we can agree that he’s worth say a fourth round draft pick.” But because we can’t do anything with a fourth round pick until next April we need a third because you have to compensate for the fact that we lose a player for this upcoming year and what we get in return is just an unhatched egg it’s a draft pick for next year that does nothing for me this year so because of that you have to pay up more and if you could get Miami to do that then I’d be interested but if you can just get Miami to get you what he’s worth then I’m not interested because at that point I’d rather just keep in Jooku because I want him for this upcoming season that’s that’s where I stand on the idea of the Browns and the Dolphins engaging in a David and Jooku trade conversation plus I could see Enjoku being very motivated to have his agent play a role in getting traded to the Dolphins right went to college in Miami he’s from New Jersey so maybe he was you know maybe he’d be more open to I don’t really want to go play anywhere else but I wouldn’t mind going back to South Beach possibility just something to chew on right there all right that’s going to do it for us on our at home edition i should have mentioned this at the beginning of the video i’m back home at my parents house for the Fourth of July and we’re in the dining room today so just prepare for some bizarre backgrounds and whatnot throughout the week all right I’ll let you guys get on with the rest of your Monday and I’ll see everyone later [Music]

  1. Honestly why would we trade David if we don't know what we have in the rookie tight end? Yeah he looked great in college but what if he looks like an avg to below avg tight end in the pro. At least we know what David can do in the pros. Also great to have you back

  2. The only thing Berry is good at is trading players and signing free agents. He's just using somebody else's money. Anybody at home sitting on the couch can do what he does. He's a G.M. that can't evaluate talent, totally worthless at his job. Kevin can't evaluate talent either, he's just a glorified offensive coordinator. Even the way they draft is a losing mentality. Something needs to change. They are playing games with players careers while their windows are closing.

  3. The browns are also not looking to punt on this upcoming season. Stefanski’s system is at its best with 2 tight ends. Trading Njoku now makes absolutely no sense. Let him play this year as one of those Tight ends. Let him walk next off season and then draft another te to pair with Fannin in 2026… and let Njoku bring back a comp pick in 2027.

The dolphins could be calling Atlanta though for Pitts. That could make sense.

  4. Why are you punting on the browns this season? That also makes no sense. The difference between 2023 11 wins playoff browns and 2024 3 wins browns is the juicy Ken Dorsey experiment. That is OVER. We are back to the Shannihan WCO with wide zone blocking now.

We have drafted Chubb/hunt 2025. We hopefully have finally found that 2nd TE that we have been searching for and missing on with Hooper, Akins, and Bryant.

The qb position is an unknown, but that I know is exponentially better than Watson, Walker, DTR, Winston. At worst the qb room is a wash with Flacco from 2023. That was the best QB from either of the past 2 seasons.

Jeudy is finally established. Tillman showed flashes of being very good. Johnson has the skills, this is his last chance in the nfl if he blows it. I think he keeps his head on straight.

On defense we will have ultimately upgraded safety in a big way going from hornbill to Hickman, because Hickman was an interception machine in college and has flashed it with the browns. He finally gets to start… and our front is going to be NASTY. Forcing a lot of rushed bad throws for Hickman to feast on. Even with the loss of JOK our linebacker group is deep and it is good.

With a competent offense that is not going 3 and out or turning the ball over perpetually from day 1, this defense should be at least as good as it was in 2023, possibly better.

Hopefully Hopkins has a bounce back year because we need him and he sucked last year.

But anyway, the point is, why on earth would you be ready to give up on the browns 2025 season given all of this reality before training camp? Really?

  5. If the dolphins were that worried about this TE and willing to sell their soul to replace him then they would not have included him in this trade.

  6. It Would Be Totally A Mistake To Trade Njoku… If Anything Trade For Someone Like T. Hill Or Someone Like Metcalf.. That Makes Cleveland Extremely Dangerous..But Cleveland Will Be Fine..

  7. Just my opinion only a fan so don't crush me🙏🏿. But I'd like to see Njoku and Fanin as a 2 headed monster at TE like the Patriots with Gronk and Hernandez. The receivers other than Jeudy are average at best.🤷🏾‍♂️ Run the ball a ton with Judkins etc. and use the TE's put points up. I know I'm jus dreaming but that would make me and whoever the QB is (Sanders) so happy.💯
