  1. He is still alive and was a guest in February at a Game. Pretty cool to see him still about.

  2. The NLBM is an amazing place. One of my favorite stops on those rare occasions I’m in KC.

  3. Julian Mackenzie wrote a book, “Black Aces” all about black hockey players with interviews and stories. Think it come out early 2026

  4. That’s really cool. I’m definitely seeing more people of color playing hockey these days. That being said, hockey definitely has some barriers to entry regardless of race:

    2. Hockey is not a “cheap” sport. You need lots of equipment, coaching, and learning how to skate at all.

  5. I saw him play when he played for the San Diego Gulls in the WHL. Always admired him.

  6. lol my adhd brain didn’t read anything but the headline and first thought “Jackie Robinson played hockey too?!”… That’s cool they give a shoutout to the NHL and Willie too!

  7. The question is why a hockey player was honored in a baseball museum

  8. Luv’ed this museum! Great presentation! And I am glad it will staying in KC so more people can see it. Raise your hand if you’ve been to Baseball Hall of Fame?
