So far not good. And are the Yankees making too many excuses for their yearly summer swoon under Aaron Boone? We’re going to talk about that in segment two. But first, good lord is my reaction to that game that I just sat through. We’re recording this not too long after the Yankees debacle in Toronto on Canada Day.
Yeah, I’m classifying it as the worst loss of the season so far. It’s that bad. Especially the fact that this game was close late on and they just gave up, laid down and and and let themselves die. It was pathetic. It was awful. It was everything bad about this baseball team encapsulated into one singular game. Anthony Vulpi played horrible. I don’t necessarily blame that last fielding play on him too much because it’s a really tough short hop play. Yeah,
probably in hindsight should have went in for the line drive instead of waiting for it to bounce. That’s kind of baseball 101, but I’m not going to kill him for that one. That’s a hard hit ball. It’s a tough play to make. But this team is uninspired, not very good. And the the Blue Jays, quite frankly, Schneider had a a case in point way of beating the Yankees today by just walk Aaron Judge and don’t don’t don’t face him and let the rest of the Yankees hit themselves out of out of games. And the funny part is in the inning they walk Aaron Judge, the Yankees tie the game up, but wind up just accidentally tying the game up because it was on errors and bad fielding. It wasn’t because of anything they did. Awful, awful, awful, pathetically played game.
Yep. Yankees were two for 17. Two for 17 with runners in scoring position. By the way, they also out hit the Blue Jays. Just so everyone knows, Blue Jays scored 12 runs, but the Yankees actually out hit them, which is even more frustrating.
Yeah. And don’t take it don’t take it from me that the Anthony Vulpi uh error isn’t the worst part. Um because that was pretty bad. But I’ll say this, Vulpi’s six for his last 53 now. in played appearances. So, I don’t want to hear about giving him more of a sample size and and he’s a young player and everything like that. He’s six for his last 53. Good players don’t do that. Vulpi was the least of their problems. It it just that fourth inning, that fourth inning, they were nearly out of it. And you know what? Jazz Chisum should not be playing third base. He should be playing second base. And I’m not saying this because he’s bad at third base. He’s more comfortable at second base. They had him playing second base in spring training and working with Anthony Vulpi as a tandem to do double play drills. Why is he playing third base?
Because DJ LaMahu has nowhere else that he can play. and they and they they they’ve stuck themselves they’ve caught themselves in a position without getting reinforcements at those positions where and the fact that they’ve glued themselves to DJ LaMu and refuse to to to admit that his career is potentially over and DJ LaMu’s been fine since coming back but he’s he’s not a versatile player who can play other places and that’s all he’s been is fine he’s not great he’s not an unbelievable player he’s he’s a very mediocre player who offers no power and really has no movement ability on in in the field at all that they’re they’re not a well- constructed team right now. No,
they’re not. And and they’re playing unbelievably poor baseball. And Stacy, it
I don’t know the percentage of Yankee fans who watch the game and stay on for the post game. Uh I do feel like Aaron Boon’s comments uh make some people stay and watch unfortunately. But if you actually stayed and watched to this postgame and heard this manager speak about what was going on in this game, every thing that he’s asked about what thing what the Yankees do that’s poor, there’s an excuse made for it. I I’m beyond sick and tired of it. He even made an excuse for the catcher’s interference.
Yeah. And we we know how locked up and and um focused on the numbers the Yankees are with their analytics, right? Yankees are tied for the most catchers interferences in in the Major League Baseball this year. And Aaron Boon said in the postgame press conference, you know, I don’t know how many catchers interferences we have. I know it’s not a major problem. You’re tied for most in the league. And I’m pretty I’m pretty aware that he knows that that that’s the case, too. He knows that’s the case. He just doesn’t want to admit it. He doesn’t want to say it’s a bad thing. He doesn’t want to acknowledge it’s a bad thing. So, he sits there and says, you know, uh, the catcher’s interference, you know, not really a big deal. We’re we’re working on it and we’re aware of it, but, you know, I don’t know where we are in the league, but it’s not that bad. You’re tied for worse in the league. You’re tied for worse in the league when it comes to catchers interference calls. That’s not addressed. When it comes to Anthony Vulpi’s play, that’s not addressed. The Yankees, what was the number in the last two games of with runners in scoring position? It’s it’s it’s like three for for 40. It’s it’s insane how bad they are in the last two games. He still sat there and said they had some good at bats and good swings with runners in scoring position. The numbers don’t lie at this point. The players aren’t stupid and neither are the fans, but yet but they treat us like we are. And you know, I don’t know what else.
But here’s my thing, cuz he makes excuses, but the players also make excuses. We’re going to go more in depth in this into this in segment two because there’s a whole there was an article that came out that made me so angry on Tuesday that we have to talk about this because it is not just 2025. This is going back to 2021 that stuff like this is happening and I’m sick of it with this game. You know how I talked about patterns yesterday? how you kind of know when certain things happen that they almost don’t matter because of the way the Yankees have been playing in the past three weeks. I knew that Jason Dominguez’s two-run single wasn’t going to hold up even with Max Freed playing. If it wasn’t going to be Max Freed choking up the lead, I figured the bullpen would choke up the league lead. Did I expect Max Freed to? No. Did I expect him to throw 31 innings? 31 innings. Good lord. 34 uh 31 pitches in that fourth inning. No. And of course, the thing that drives me crazy is that inning was such a fluke that he was perfectly fine the rest of the time. Yep. It’s it’s it’s absolutely wild. And that that’s that that’s really what his season has been. I mean, he’s he’s been great all year. It’s it was the one flukeing that he had. The problem is Stacy and like you said, uh back to what you were saying, you can depend on Max Free to give you a good start, not give up any runs. But why did the Jason Dominguez single not matter? didn’t matter because the Yankee bullpen was bound to blow it up because as we mentioned in May and in June and in parts of April when the bullpen was being abused when Aaron Boom was comfortable taking a starter out with 82 pitches because he needed the bullpen to get in the game in the fifth inning that he was going to burn the bullpen out. I know you got all these shiny toys down there and I know you I know you got all these all these nice pieces that you’re going to use and they have low eras and they throw really hard and they’re really impressive to go watch, but if you use them every single day or every other day, you’re going to burn their arms out. And we we’re saying this in April. I’d love to go back and find the episode where we said it. If you keep using the bullpen the way you’re using it, this bullpen is going to burn out by the time we hit late June, early July. Guess what the bullpen DRRA is in the last four games? Boom. Right there. 10.13. And Luke Weaver’s face says it all in this picture right here. In the last four games, this is what happens when you overuse a bullpen. Stacy, you can have a Lamborghini and three Ferraris in your garage. It’s four really beautiful cars. Guess what? If you drive them 10,000 miles per day, they’re going to break at some point. You can’t keep using your bullpen this much. You have to let pitchers pitch more. Max Freed was dealing the rest of this game, Stacy. He had 88 pitches. They yanked him. They didn’t pull. They didn’t let him pitch anymore. And I know you’re going for the long game. But Stacy, you’ve been watching baseball longer than me. Your parents have been watching baseball longer than you. And their parents are watching baseball longer than them. And all of us watch pitchers, including me, watch pitchers throw way more pitches for way length more lengthy in games that had way longer leashes. And these guys weren’t getting hurt as often as they are right now. were pitching into late into into early November, late October, into the postseason, and it wasn’t ever a concern. Also, there was an era when there were a lot less bullpen arms available to you in the back end of that bullpen than there are now. Now, you’ve got eight arms in the back end of your bullpen, and your pitchers are only throwing 85 pitches per game. And we’re yanking them as quick as possible because all our bullpen arms are so good. This is what happens. It looks really good in April. It looks really good in May. It looks really good in parts of June. But when these guys already have 40 50 innings on their arm and we’re we’re just hit we haven’t even hit the Fourth of July yet. This is what happens. A 10 RA in your last four games.
Yeah. It’s uh it’s not fun to watch. It’s it’s not fun to watch this team right now. We’re going to give you all the numbers in segment two because it is ugly what they’re doing in this past month now because we’ll show you those numbers as well. Quick updates about Yankee injuries. Austin Wells won’t play for a few days because of the circulatory issues that he has in his hands. All tests came back. So far, they’ve been positive. So, he’s not on the IIL yet. Scar will be the starting catcher in his place. Boon also said that this could be due to wear the wear and tear of catching the things insane thing to say.
It’s an insane. There’s There’s a million other catchers in Major League Baseball that aren’t dealing with this.
Yeah. So, it’s kind of scary because I kind of wish the test did show something because it doesn’t seem normal to me. Fernando Cruz back to the IIL with an oblique. Hopefully he won’t be gone for too long, but Boon said it’s a high-grade oblique strain. Most people familiar with this in the ba in the baseball medical industry are saying likely midepptember. So it is going to be a bit it is going to be a long one.
Yeah, that’s that’s basically all summer. So
yep, trade.
As long as he’s ready for the postseason, that that that that’s fine by me, though. Stacy, this team is uh playing at a pathetic rate right now. As bad as they could possibly be playing, they are five and 21 this year in games where they allow five or more runs. Not sustainable and not a winning formula. Yeah, that’s that’s not great. So, this was an article that I saw called Why Aaron Boone and the Yankees Aren’t worried after another June swoon. And that made me apoplelectic when I saw it. I sorry, I just couldn’t help it because of everything that we’ve been talking about so far this week. I just I I wanted to bang my head into a wall when I saw this. So, it’s from Gary Phillips of the Daily News. And let’s go through some numbers first because we’re not making this up. We’re not being This is not hyperbole. The Yankees have been going through these swounds whether it’s June, July or August, June and July, July and August since 2021. Okay? So, right now they’ve lost 12 out of their last 18 games. They finished June under 500 at 13-4. They’re 10-4 against their division rivals. They’re 12-7 in one-run games this season. Right. Okay. Last year in 2024, 15 and 26 between June 6th and July Oh, June 7th and July 26th. That’s unacceptable. In 2023, which they didn’t play in the playoffs, but they also lost Aaron Judge for like two months. So without Aaron Judge, but still 31 and 45 from June to August. Okay. And 2022 is the one we need to talk about because this is the one that gets everyone crazy, right? They started off 61 and 23. They even went 22 and six of June. They were on fire. Talks of, oh, this team can rival the 98 team. They played 500 ball in July. Okay, they ran out of steam a little bit. Then in August they were 10 and 18, which was the worst August mark since 1991. You weren’t around in 1991, but I was around in 1991. That team finished 71 and 91. There was no reason for a team that started off 61 and 23, 10 wins fewer than the 91 team finished with to match that team’s August record. They when you talk about falling off a cliff, that team fell off a cliff and then they got swept by the Astros in the ALCS. The 2021 Yankees posted a 12 and 14 record in June and thankfully they logged winning records in each ne like the next month. So July, August, September. But did it matter? No, because they lost in the wild card game. Anyway, this is the thing that bothers me. We talked about Boone on yesterday’s show talking about how it’s baseball. this happens. I let the guys know before the season that we’re going to go through some tough times. Sure, every team goes through tough times. But when we know that a swoon is going to happen, when we know that this is like clockwork, there is something wrong. It’s not just roster construction. It’s also this team kind of molding itself into the same attitude, I guess, that Aaron Boon has, like this thinking of, oh, we’ll get out of it. And you saw it in the postgame interviews with people. You saw it even after the game on Monday. DJ LaMahu said something similar to that. Like, we know we have a good team and we know we’ll get out of this and blah blah blah. Like, you don’t want these guys to come out and say, “Yeah, we suck right now.” But you kind of do wish they’d come out and be like, “Yeah, no, we’re horrible right now. We need to turn this around.” Not, “Oh, we’ll we’ll turn this around eventually.” I’d rather someone be angry about the way they’re playing than being complacent and saying, “Uh, yeah, we’ll turn this around eventually.”
Yeah. And the thing that I keep seeing commonly online everywhere with Yankee fans is why don’t we blame the players? It’s the players who are losing. It’s the players who are striking out. It’s the players who are giving up runs. Well, Stacey, what’s the common denominator in all these seasons since 2021 on the Yankee team? The roster isn’t the same every single year. There’s trade acquisitions. There’s there’s free agent signings. They change the roster pretty much every year. And if there’s a team that upgrades or tries to upgrade more than anyone in baseball, it’s maybe the Dodgers, but other than that, it’s the Yankees. They’re always adding. They’re always subtracting. They’re always doing things to their roster to change things up every year. Every year, the consistent with this team is Aaron Boon at leadership. And this happens every single year. I’m just pointing it out like it is. So, when there’s a common thing and a common thing that keeps happening and both match, it’s probably got to do with the with the manager and and them losing all these games in a row and them not uh I love the Yankees have a good team every year. I love that they’re competitive every year. This is the problem though. When you’re when you start off the year good, which is what they kind of do every single year, they start off a little hot. Yeah,
you become complacent. You start thinking World Series. You start thinking we’re fine in this year. And you don’t focus on what’s actually ahead and what series is actually right in front of you. You start focusing big picture. And you can’t do that in a baseball season. It doesn’t work. This is bad. And this happens every single year. And this is a common thing. And I’m not going to sit here. I know we’re going to see comments on the on on this show later on today. What about Brian Kman? That’s common. What about Steinbrunner? That’s common. Those guys were in charge of this team when Joe Gerardi was here and this crap never happened. Those guys were in charge of this team when Joe Tory was in charge and this crap never happened. This only happens with Aaron Boon. This has only happened throughout Aaron Boon’s entire tenure. They’ve got some of the worst month stretches the franchise has ever had. Stacy, that’s saying something. It really has. And this roster, this team has never really had a roster with bad players and players don’t perform. They never they’ve never had the Rockies roster. They never had the White Socks roster where you understand those records being broken. It doesn’t make sense and it’s not acceptable. It’s not.
This was a quote from Aaron Judge that was in the article. For guys in this room, it’s not hard because we’ve got some great ball players in here who have been through good times, tough times. I’ve been through situations like this. Yeah. No kidding. Because
Yeah. last year and the year before and two years before and three years before that.
And last year they had Juan Sodto on the team with Judge who had his best year Sodto as a player with 41 home runs and they still went 15 and 26 between June 7th and July 26th. And again, like I said on yesterday’s show, keep an eye out for that series against the Cubs before the All-Star break and how that series ends, how they play in that series because it’s always an indication of how the rest of July and into August is going to go. I know it’s Canada Day and there’s a lot of excitement going on up there, but the Blue Jays came to this series ready to play. They’re taking it very seriously and they want to make a statement against the Yankees. Yankees don’t seem to care. And we can sit here all we want on this show and say, “Ah, it’s just a series against the Blue Jays and it’s funny how the Blue Jays fans think it’s a big deal, but we we just look at it as a regular June series.” That’s all good and well. We can all think that. People in bars in New York City can all think that it’s the Yankees manager to treat it like they’re going into the World Series to get the players ready to play. We can all think it’s no big deal and we can all acknowledge that it’s a June it’s a June July series in the middle of the year. That’s kind of irrelevant to the Yankees because they’re gonna play in October and the Blue Jays can take it seriously. All good and well. It’s on the manager to make the team feel like it’s important so they show some urgency because the team right now has the attitude the entire fan base has ofh it’s just a June series or July series in Toronto. That’s not the attitude the roster should have. But this is the problem. We’re going to put this up for you all. I took this from my TV. On May 28th, the Yankees were seven games ahead of the Rays. Today, as we’re recording this, the Rays are one game behind the Yankees, and the Blue Jays are now one game behind the Yankees because of those two wins that they’ve had against the Yankees so far this week. The Yankees can not only be out of first place after this series is over, but it’s possible they can be in third place when they start playing the Mets on the weekend.
Look at that graphic, too. Uh, every team in that in the division has picked up ground against the Yankees, including the Red Sox, whose lead is now down to what is it, six and a half or six, and the and the Orioles, who are terrible, but it was 16 and a half in the first graphic you showed, and now it’s 10 and a half. And not not saying the Orioles are going to come back. Every single team in this division has caught up ground on the Yankees.
Yep.
That’s how bad they’re playing.
Yeah. And but it’s fine. They’re they’re going to get through it. They’re going to turn things around. It’s going to be great. But this is what I don’t like and I’m going to end it on this. This sort of attitude means that it’s all routine for them. It’s acceptable for the Yankees to play badly for months at a time and it doesn’t matter. Especially if they make the playoffs because the playoffs are a crapshoot. I don’t like this attitude. You would never hear Derek Jeter say anything like this. You would never hear Jorge Pada, Mo, Andy Pettit, Mark Tara, any of those guys. A-Rod, Johnny Damon, like you know what I mean? just it’s it’s enough. I don’t like the complacency. I know that other people who root or people who root for other teams, if they watch this show, they’re just going to be like world’s smallest violin because, oh no, Yankee fans are upset that their first place team isn’t playing well. Yeah, because if you’re in first place, you should be playing well, not playing the way you’re playing against your division rivals. This is not acceptable. They are awful against the AL East. You can’t win the division if you keep losing series and games to your division rivals. Beyond pathetic. Beyond pathetic.
And speaking of that, coming up, previewing game three against the Blue Jays. Again, it’s a four game series, so the Yankees could write the ship and split it, but will they? Who knows? And we will take a look around the league next. Ever wish managing your money felt easier? With Monarch money, it can. Uh, and we’ll see if they can I I guess you can call it salvage it because they would be splitting the series 22. But unless they they play otherworldly baseball, which I don’t expect them to in the next two games, I’m still going to look at this series as a massive disappointment because I I had some urgency going into the series with how poorly they’ve been playing in a division rival and a big in a big moment and they just haven’t played well. Um, Wednesday’s game will be Will Warren, who’s 5-4 with a 437 RA. He’s going up against Ber Jose Berios or Bereios, I guess you pronounce it, is 4 and three with a 326 ERA. I will say this, not a very good matchup for Will Warren. Um, because Will Warren this year has specialized a lot on the strikeout. When the ball is put in play against Will Warren, he tends to give up a little bit of runs there, but he’s specialized in the strikeout and had a lot of great really great strikeout numbers this year. The Blue Jays strikeout the least in Major League Baseball. They had the lowest strikeout percentage and they put the ball and play the most out of any team in baseball with the Yankees ability to make errors, the slow fielding and not being able to get to balls combined with Warren.
Yep. Combined with Will Warren who often only pitches well when he does strike guys out. This is a bad formula for the Yankees.
Yeah, this this isn’t good. Although, what is good is Bereos only has a 326 ERA. It’s not between four and five.
Yeah, that is in their range, but uh they’re going to do their best to probably lower that RA. Again, this is not a this is not a good match up for them. The the pitching matchup is not good for them in this in this game. Uh they’re in trouble here. I’m not I’m not kidding. Like I I know they got out of that prolonged losing streak um with with a couple of wins. And you follow that up with uh well, you couple that I guess with the the stuff in New York City going on with the team across town and the Mets, which Yankee fans for some reason can’t get their heads out of what’s going on in Queens and how bad the Mets are playing. It makes
paying attention to them. It doesn’t matter. But but it makes the Yankee fan feel better about what’s going on and not not freak out as much about what’s going on because oh well the Mets are are worse than we’re doing so we’re fine. Um the Yankees are not fine. They’re they’re playing horrendously horrible baseball and they’re going to relinquish the division league probably as soon as tomorrow or later on today
or later on. How bad they’re playing.
Um let’s discuss something other than the Yankees, please. Let can we just do news around the league because I I can’t Let’s just explain quickly later for us because we’re recording this. 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the Rays and the A’s are in the midst of playing at the moment. So, we don’t know what the result is, but you know, we’ll obviously discuss this on Wednesday’s show.
Let’s get to my favorite segment of the show because I can’t anymore with the Yankees today. For now, I’m good. Um, news from around the league. Uh, William Abrao Abrau from the Red Sox. He had a grand slam and an inside the park home run in last night’s game for the Red Sox. That’s an amazing uh two things to accomplish in one game. Um, Stacy, he’s the first player to have an inside the park home run and a grand slam in the same game since Roger Maris in 1958. Um, pretty cool stat to be a part of. Can you guess the last Boston Red Sox to have an inside the park home run? Um, well, I cheated and saw the answer, but I’m actually not surprised by this because he was pretty speedy when he played.
It was Jacobe Ellbury in that 2011 season who had an inside the park home run for the Red Sox. He’s the last Red Sox to have an inside the park home run. I just thought that was a little funny to throw the little
When when Brian says last night, he means Monday night.
Yeah. I’m sorry. You guys You guys know. Yeah.
Yeah. Our regulars know we record the night before usually unless you know an act of God happens and we can’t record the night that we normally. It’s kind of happening outside of New York right now. If you notice the storms that are going on, there is an act of God going outside.
Find find some shelter if you can because it’s scary. Yeah. Uh Bryce Harper returned from the IO for the Philadelphia Phillies. He’s back in the lineup for them. He missed 22 games. Um, and the Phillies kind of slid a little bit too. They weren’t playing as well as they as they should have been. So, getting Harper back is absolute massive for them. A guy that will still bother me from from now on because he should be playing in Yankee in Yankee uniform.
Yeah, I was having this conversation with insider Debbie specifically about Bryce Harper.
Yeah, it’s a huge bother. It’s a huge bother. Um, and then Carrie Carpenter of the Tigers has been struggling with right hamstring tightness. they put him on the 10day IIL. Lots of guys are starting to hit the IIL at this point in the season and you’re seeing a lot of muscular injuries this year for whatever reason. I don’t know why, but uh you know, apparently he’s been having this issue for weeks now and I think they were finally like, “All right, we need to get you on the IIL, get you rested because you don’t want to mess with a hamstring because you don’t want to turn this into a multi-month injury.” They’re tough injuries though because they say it all the time, but the hamstring is one of those things where you you you don’t really know it’s fully healthy until you really test it out at full strength. And you can’t really do that until you’re you’re basically just rolling the dice and hoping for the best.
Going back to the hamstring, Trent Gisham, which we forgot to mention in segment one,
he tested out his hamstring on the field Tuesday before the game. He said he was feeling better, but again, you don’t want to mess with hamstring tightness. So, they smartly kept him out of Tuesday’s game and it might be a situation where he just needs to sit for a couple days and then he’ll come back and be okay.
But worth noting he will not enter the he will not go on the IIL either. So now you have him not on the IIL along with Austin Wells. You have two bench guys that are not on the IIL. You’re basically losing two bench players over the next two days. Also not a good sign for the Yankees.
Yes. And the Yankees said that Oswald PZA could be the backup outfielder if they need it, which that
maybe it’ll have better from there
because we know how the Yankees like putting people in the outfield when they usually play infield. Works like a charm
always. I I just I don’t But this goes back to like Chuck Knoblock and Alfonso Seraniano and other players. But yeah, it always seems like some some dude is like, “Hey, could you play outfield?” Sure. Yeah, I’ll do that. You know, Oswaldo Cabrera was doing it and IF was doing it and how many other guys? So yeah, don’t be surprised if you see Oswald PZA playing the outfield in the next two games cuz it could possibly happen. So thank you for making Locked on Yankees your first listen today. 1. Catcher’s Interference is a result of aggressive pitch framing in order to “steal strikes” at the bottom of the zone. Leading the league in this category is similar to an aggressive base running team leading the league in caught stealing or runners being thrown out on the base paths. You don’t complain Brian when a pitch is called a strike at the bottom of the zone for strike three that would have been a ball if the catcher hadn’t done a good job framing the pitch. If you are going to get on a soapbox, know the game.

  2. None of the yanks bullpen throw especially hard- whatcha talkin about but I do agree that Boone needs to stick with starters longer if they are rolling!

  3. Write this down, and believe it……..Until the Yanks get a LEGITIMATE lefty bat (Tucker, Alvarez, Ramirez) to hit behind Judge so he doesn’t get intentionally walked off into the sunset, this offense will struggle. Judge is the best hitter in baseball, but he can’t do it ALONE. Did you get that Hal?

  4. 31 year old pitchers weren’t signed for 8 years and $218,000,000 or $908,333 per start based on 30 starts per season Brian. That’s why they are not running up his pitch clock in July, so there is something left in the tank in September. Where would this team be if it wasn’t for Fried? Stop yelling and learn the game. I know you’re frustrated but sometimes you just sound ridiculous.

  5. We’re going to get rid of boone and realize it wasn’t boones fault 😂 our fans are the worst in all of sports. And a lot of our players can’t play in New York because of these fans.

  6. Of course Boone should be gone. He should have been canned after getting swept out of the ALCS by the Astros. (He should have been jailed for his bright idea of showing 2004 Red Sox highlights as motivation!) He should have been fired for then having the team’s worst season in 30 years right after that. And now he should be fired for being totally exposed and publicly mocked by Dodgers for the WS failure last year and now evidently doing nothing to improve on those exact points. If he hasn’t been fired by now, he never will be. If Volpe hasn’t been sent to the minors by now, never will be. And so on.

  7. I suggest extra long batting practice. The hitting yesterday was absolutely horrendous. Yankees can’t afford to lose this game. They need to wake their act up immediately.

  8. Jays also had 3 HR..Yankees had 0.. and Yankees outhit them by 1.. don't try to deflect attention that Jays outplayed them.. and the Volpe "error" was not an error.. even if he comes up with that, he gets the guy at 2nd.. still 5-4 at that point..ZERO chance you're doubling up Ernie.. So, Springer hits a 3 run bomb instead of a slam.. Jays win 11-5… I've learnt how ridiculous Yankees fans are with excuses (and wrong).

  9. Boone is a bad manager he should have been fired a long
    Time ago the team. Plays
With no heart they lay down
    Cashmen also must go they
Get rid of good young players
    Thats on cashmen and boone

  10. Why should his job be in the line? Hes not batting ,Hes not fielding,Hes not playing..He is a players coach, period!! Cashman needs to make some changes,we all know this team isnt good enough to win a World Series right now.

  11. This team is not fun to watch right now.12-13 record in the past 25 games. And before they leave Toronto they will no longer be in 1st place.Warren and Schmidt to try and salvage a tie in the series when your two best pitchers have already lost.Oh my.

  12. Why is DJ PLAYING 2 out of 3 game series, also listening to volpe tell us that this is just baseball , he should sit for a few games. He’s not bad kid, but Boone and others have made him to be a star player, because of that gold glove. So now he talks like he’s a key yankee player. If you look at how many more at bats volpe has to peraza and how much more he has played. Maybe PERAZA would be doing better. I know as of defense, peraza is much better, all volpe does is jump an drive , like every play is a highlight play. Boone needs a wake up call.

  13. Why isn't the other Aaron getting any of the blame? Well, I know why because he is playing like the GOAT he is, but he is also the Captain ™. And he needs to start acting like it. He can't goofy smile his way to a WS. He needs to show some emotion, and fire the guys up. He has at least as much of the blame as Boone.

  14. Boone has to go now right now. Volpe needs to go also sick of him.DJ playes 3rd jazz 2nd enough. We need to get a mgr who get
s what he is suppose to get perform from his players.

  15. Did you just eye roll the Blue Jays for "taking this series seriously" What?? Y'all think you just wake up in the playoffs.. Yankees are a third place team at best.

  16. I just found your channel. Both of you sound like me. Boone is pathetic. Berra caught 117 Doubleheaders in his career. They run the bases like little Leaguers.

  17. The Yankees position roster stinks. Nothing out of catcher, second, short, DH and with Grisham injured, the shortcomings of Dominguez will show up. Rice is streaky, Bellinger is living on his 1 big year and Goldschmidt finally, sadly, came back to Earth. Judge is a monster, but 1 man can't beat 9.
