Grading the Jets first day in free agency, and looking at what the team needs moving forward.
Sorry I wrote this on family computer and (mostly) my cellphone so there will be more on the team and previewing the next season with the next article. I will also answer your questions on the team there, so feel free to reply here any questions you wish for me to answer.

I remember Clague in his draft year….he was late first round talent who fell to the 2nd round.
I remember Pearson too….overager who played with 55
The others are unknown to me
More like free agent “minor kerfuffle”
A recap about nothing.
yeah the common narrative seems to be that a $1m flyer on a depth piece can’t hurt, but from the org’s precedent (what i can remember at least) has always been to play the veteran depth piece through their struggles and poor results, and as you pointed out with Schenn and others, it definitely could hurt relative to other players who aren’t playing
also, i seem to recall one of Arniel’s first comments as the head coach calling for getting faster.. we genuinely might be the slowest team in the league heading into his second season, which isn’t inherently bad but funny in retrospect
I feel like if Ehlers leaves, he will be forgotten about and play for another 2-4 teams and be used as trade bait.
There are a few players that have left for greener pasture all have played for multiple teams. That grass can’t be very green.
