Carolina would be a very good fit for him. Carolina needs some more top end skill and Ehlers would definitely help address that.

Hard to believe he wouldn’t go to Carolina at this point. They need him, they have the cap space to pay him very well, it’s a low pressure environment away from the rink and they are legitimate Cup contenders. What more could a player ask for?

Bummer that Mammoth are out. They have the cap space, and they’re going to start being a perennial playoff threat team (albeit not contender, yet). He would also fit into their line-up build perfectly, where it’s good/sub-star players just stacked through their top-9 (reminds me of Dallas pre-Rantanen, or even better built than Carolina’s O-Corps).
