[Charania] BREAKING: The New York Knicks are expected to land on two-time NBA Coach of the Year Mike Brown as the franchise's next head coach, sources tell ESPN.
Update: Knicks president Leon Rose underwent a thorough process since the firing of Tom Thibdoeau a month ago. The Knicks requested permission for five NBA head coaches and were denied, then interviewed several available coaches and went through multi-round stages with candidates.
Update 2: Brown is a four-time champion as a top assistant in Golden State and San Antonio under Steve Kerr and Gregg Popovich and has coached an array of superstars across three decades coaching in the NBA. Most recently in 2022-23, Brown's Kings had the best-rated offense in the NBA.

I really like Mike Brown as a person and I think he’s a solid NBA coach but firing Thibs for him seems like a lateral move at best. Really proves that modern NBA coaches get changed out often just because players want a new voice

R/nba users are gonna be torn about this, on one hand they want to make fun of the Knicks, on the other hand they spent all last year making fun of the Kings for getting rid of such an amazing coach.
