Lifts that one into left center field. That one is back there toward the wall. That catches the green. He rumbles into second. Now he’s going to keep on going. He’s heading for third. He’s going to stop there with a stand up triple. He’s running. First off, it’s this change up that I told you was electric in his last outing, but this one’s about letter high. Son smokes this ball high off the wall and Fredo, I thought a difficult first game. Kind of just plays this into triple. Maybe it’s an error on him, but it’s a little bit of panic there. There’s really no need for it. That’s an easy stand up double. You saw Sidon break it down until he saw the bobble, but good job by Sidon. Until
he will ruin it.
And Marcelo Meyer trying to pick him up. 212. Four home runs for Marcelo and he’ll pop it up the right side. Incarnasio Strand. He’ll be called off by Lux will make the play. Flips to home plate. Boy, then Martinez gets a fly ball twisting down the line. Hayes will move on over and he puts that away. Three fly ball outs. Second time around against Martinez. Rips into this one down the line. Anthony coming in. Coming over and makes the play. Nice job there. That was a fair ball, too. Jumps on that one. the line drive and a diving effort there by Anthony. He hangs on. He made the catch as Diaz the umpire went out there with the signal. Steals one there. That’s a great job by Roman. Here comes another one. Ripped down the left field line. That’s going to bounce and go right up against the monster. Mlan into second and he will slide in with a double. Hot shot now to get it to runner holds. Two down. Red Sox continue to do really good work on Dela Cruz. He’s got conviction now with the swing. Swinging a high fly to right field. That’s deep. Hines’s going back. He’s going back all the way to the wall. Lunges for that. He goes into the stands and that ball’s gone. Home run. Will Abrao number 17. a two run shot and the Red Sox open it up a little bit now. Three to nothing. Yeah, he’s had a heck of a series and the 3-2 on the way just badly. So that’s ball four and the bases are loaded with nobody out. Bases all jammed up for the Reds in a two- two home. Highf fly ball that one high and deep way back there. Way back there. totally out of the ballpark for a grand slam. And in a blink of an eye, Cincinnati takes the lead. And Carnosion Strand with a grand slam. He traveled 439 ft. One away. Jump on that line drive. Anthony backing up. It’s over his head right up against the bullpen fence and into second base. Freedle with a double. Six grand slams this year. Ground ball up the middle. Threw for a base hit. You talked about that as the run comes in to score. He is always dangerous. Even though the Red Sox have pretty much tied him up all pretty sharp nonetheless. He’s allowed seven hits down the line. And that’s going to be number eight. That’s going to take a bounce off into the stands and that’ll be a ground rule double. So Marcelo with a nice start to the seventh, his first hit. Meer off the bag at second and a highf fly ball. That one into left. Hayes backing up, feeling for the wall, leaping up and he can’t get it. Here comes the run. Marcelo is in to score heading into third. Here’s the throw, the tag and he is out.
Gonzalez cut down at third. 5-4 game. That’s the first out of the inning and a ground at a third. One for two. Fly into shallow right center. Freedle there to cover the ground. Durant with the lead and two away. Here’s the one-two pitch and struck him out to retire the side. Red Sox settle on a one-run 5-4. Bound to third. Toro to second. One out there on the first and safe pitch and he’s going to walk him. So a little bit of trouble here with only one out game number two. Working the pen little popup. Meer going out. Meer going out. He lunges. Can’t make the play. Going to be a lob toss too high into second. Had a force there. And a base hit into right. One run in to score. And that’ll reload the bases as the throw is cut. Chopper to Story. And that skips off the glove. One run is in. The backup on the play by Meyer. Now throwing home. That runner will score. Back to third and safe at third base. You go game to game into center field and Raphaela with the grab to retire. Trevor Story on deck passed in 97 mph for the whiff. One down. Slapped in the air to right and Hines will cover the ground. Two down. Highf fly center field. It’ll hang and Fredel underneath will make the catch and a quiet eighth for the Red Sox. 3-2 a swing and a foul tip. That’ll be held by one for the strikeout. Puts him away with a change.
Ground ball up the middle. Story flips for one. Meer across the body. Safe there. Sides can’t turn the double play. Benson safe at the bag. Two down. This is going to be a really nice double play if they could have had it. All right, Story. A little bit too far to take. Ground ball. A worm killer. Toro up and over. Bad throw, but the tag is in time to get him and retire the side. They do not score. Eight to four Cincinnati to the bottom of the ninth. Swing and drive that one back toward the wall. Hayes plays it off the green. That caught that little bit of a shelf up there and he’s into second base with a double. Tried to hold up. Couldn’t do it on the splitter. And down he goes. Strike three. One down. Here’s the two- two. Down he goes. Foul tipped to the middle. Came with the heat. Struck him out. Two gone. N into center field. Old Fredel on approach. He’s got it once again.
