And it’s going to start right here with this matchup between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants from Chase Field. For the Diamondbacks, it’s Brandon F listed as the starter in this one, while the Giants will send out Robbie Ray for the start here. Brandon F, you know, since Brandon F had that rough two start stretch basically at the end of May where he got roughed up, didn’t record a single out against the Washington Nationals and gave up eight runs and then follow that up with giving up six runs on six hits against the Atlanta Braves. FOD has g has gone five innings in each of his last four starts, has given up two earned runs in three of those four starts, and has done a good job of keeping the Diamondbacks in games. Now, you know, he did take a loss against the Colorado Rockies at Korsfield, which is not necessarily an easy place to play. And the Diamondbacks lost his last outing, eight to seven in extra innings against Miami. Wasn’t FA’s fault, though. You know, he he did well. He’s had seven strikeouts in that start. It was just that the bullpen let it get away. But now you face a San Francisco Giants lineup that, you know, we’ve talked about before if you’ve watched my videos covering this series, you know, or you watched this on the morning show. I don’t trust the Giants offensively right now, especially against right-handed pitching. The San Francisco Giants in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching are hitting just 210. That’s the third lowest batting average in baseball. The team OPS numbers are bottom five. The isolated power numbers are bottom 10. They are just not producing right now. And entering Wednesday, they scored two runs or less in four straight games. Not surprisingly, all those games were losses. And they’ve just been getting crushed and haven’t been able to support their starting pitching even if they get decent outings from their starters as well. Robbie Ray has been a great option for the San Francisco Giants this season. But you want proof of that. I mean, one of the starts that, you know, the Giants lost where they scored two runs or less. They were shut out one- nothing. And Robbie Ray was unfortunate. He took the loss against the Chicago White Socks despite giving up just a solo home run, four hits total, and had six strikeouts in six innings of work. But again, hard to win baseball games when you score zero runs. And uh, you know, that’s just been the problem. And then prior to that, Robbie Ray given up a combined 11 runs, eight earned over 15 innings of work against the Red Sox, the Guardians, and the Rockies. Well, while we’ve known the Diamondbacks to be one of the better offenses in baseball against righties for much of the season, would you believe it if I told you that the Diamondbacks in the last two weeks against the lefties actually have the second best batting average in baseball, hitting 320. Their team OPS numbers are second best, you know, with a 958 team OPS ranking. their isolated power numbers are tied for the best in baseball. They have a 347 Bab, which is, you know, among the best in baseball. So, this is a a Diamondbacks offense that’s just clicking right now. And, you know, even though, like I said, Robbie Ray has been a great option for the for the Giants this season, again, it boils down to me not trusting this, you know, Giants offense to do enough to get Robbie Ray enough to get the victory here. even if he goes out and throws seven strong innings, you know, I think that uh the Diamondbacks are just a more trustworthy offense right now. And I think that that’s sort of just the uh the long and short of it. So, I’m going to roll with the Diamondbacks in this one at the coin flip price and that’s going to be my free pick.
