Tampa Bay Lightning Sign Simon Lundmark to 2x775K Contract!! Jets Fan Reaction!!
Winnipeg Jets defensive prospect Simon Lmark has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a two-year two-way contract. Um, in terms of the value that Simon Lmark brings, he’s a former second round pick of the Winnipeg Jets and just struggled to overall fit in the system. He was extremely promising at a young age. He put up fine point totals. But as we discussed in why the Winnipeg Jets gave up his RFA signing rights, he just didn’t have enough value and got stuck in the log jam system of the defense. He had to be an exceptional prospect. He was only a good prospect in terms of what Tampa’s getting here. Tampa gets a guy who will probably play in the Syracuse Crunch for a lot of the season. But if injuries happen or if the Lightning begin to hollow out their depth, Simon Lunar could sneak his way into a third pairing spot. Um, I guess the Jets just didn’t think they could get any value of Simon Lenmark or Simon Lunar wanted a fresh start. Either way, I think this is a good move for for Lenmark. I think the Tampa Bay Lightning don’t have amazing prospects in the system right now, which could give him more room to shine. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity for him. So, yeah, Simon Lmark is another domino to fall for the Winnipeg Jets as he signs as a UFA with the Tampa Bay Lightning two years. Um, it’s a two-way contract.
