#DallasCowboys Fish AM Live Report: ‘TAKE IT EZE AS #Cowboys DISSED
You, as a Cowboy fan, have a right to be furious. Please allow me to explain. I’m Mike Fisher, your trusty and trusted reporter. This is the Fishbowl. That is the Star. And this is where we hang out and walk you through your Cowboys issues of the day. Uh 36 years going on now. Cowboys beat Rider. That’s me. And we’ll be in Oxnard with the Cowboys, of course, when they kick off training camp. Get in. Get on to be good. Uh, always interested to hear your thoughts as we have our conversation. 75,000 fish heads in Cowboy Nation cannot be wrong. Daniel Fowler urges us all. Thank you, Daniel. Hit the like button. Uh, that tells the algorithms on YouTube the kind of cowboy programming you want. I think it helps me keep the light bill on. And that light starting to flicker here in Marshia’s Manson. So, we we got work to do here. Uh, and it gives me a warm and fuzzy. As I’ve said many times in this space, one of the great challenges faced by the quote national beat writer is how can you be on top of all 32 teams and all 90 guys and all 20 coaches and all the how can you possibly My head’s that big, but my brain isn’t. DB Cooper, hit that like button. Go Cowboys. Thanks, Uncle Fish. Can’t be done. It can’t be done. Uh, we Marshia and I went, it was a date night last night and, uh, we went to a place and they had a baseball game on TV and we laughed and laughed and people couldn’t figure out. We, it was the first baseball game we’ve watched in a million years. Not because I hate baseball. I just don’t have I don’t have time. I don’t I have time in my brain to know to care. Shut up, Casey. I have a tough enough time being a quote insider expert on one team and this is all I do. Now, obviously, we have our Athlon work that we do and and I oversee a lot of writers who do a lot of stuff and we have Dallas basketball.com, the granddaddy of them all. But you get what I mean. The core of what I do every day is making sure I have my stuff together when it comes to your Cowboys. And that’s plenty. Hard to be an expert on one. How can you be an expert on 32? That is a consistent problem. with ESPN, especially as it relates to the Cowboys, which is their number one focus by far. This, by the way, is not going to be an ESPN bash as much as it’s going to be an analysis of something the Cowboys did right and do right a lot. Seven and 10 and 30 years not withstanding. The trickle down, it starts with Stephen A. Smith. He is He is the centerpiece of what they do. He is the hub of their wheel. And they prop I say poor Stephen A. Smith. He makes $20 million a year. They prop him up there anytime there’s anything that needs to be talked about. Hot issue in sports. Up he goes. And of course, the Cowboys are always the hottest issue in sports. So up he goes. As I said the other day, it could be women’s tennis. It could be the senior bowling circuit. If something controversial happens on the senior bowling circuit, Stephen A. Smith is called upon to comment on it makes him and it makes them look ridiculous because you can’t be an expert on senior bowling and NFL and BNB and here’s the specific example where it’s problematic. Ken Lawson, Stephen A. Smith hates us. No, he doesn’t. He just makes money off you. He does not hate you. He didn’t care. He didn’t know. Taxt Dak Prescott, the most hated player I’ve ever seen. Wait till you see cowboyscountry.com this morning if you want your Dakprescott information. cowboyscountry.com. Steve, actually there is a particular skill in being able to fake your way through knowledge of a story and get away with it. By the way, I’m not talking about you. We’re not talking about, for instance, Todd Archer. Todd Archer covers the Cowboys. Works for ESPN. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Bristol. Cowboys beat writer. He’s a real Cowboy beat writer. Ramona covering the Lakers. She covers the Lakers for ESPN. Does a terrific job. ESPN has put together its 2026 early mock draft. Early, I’ll say. and is projecting Dallas to pick at number 13 next year. Diddly diddly dink. That of course, first of all, means they think the Cowboys are going to stink again next year. I think I’ll take that bet this year. And then they project the Cowboys to take Auburn edge rusher Keldrick Faulk. Keldrickch. K- L I C. Faulk. F A U L K. Okay. And be careful how you say it. Got any problems so far? You might have a problem with the idea that the Cowboys are going to be seven and 10 again because that’s basically what that projection would say. But once we get past that, well, you don’t have to have a problem with Kendrick Faulk. Again, I’m not a college football beat writer and I don’t pretend to be. I don’t have any idea who he is. I know that he’s 66 and 290 and can play defensive end or three technique. That’s all I know. How many Auburn football games do you think I watch? Zero. But ESPN trying to be ahead of the game is projecting that the Cowboys will pick number 13 in the 2026 draft. And they’ve even got the guy 6’6 290lb Auburn defensive end Keldrickch Faulk and Vinnie need a stud defensive tackle. I mean that sounds like a if if he can play defensive end at 66 290 then he can play three technique and away you go. Here’s their quote and this is the part that should make you slap your forehead. The piece claims that the reason Dallas will draft 6 foot 6 290lb Auburn defensive lineman Faulk is because the Cowboys need quote more on the edge after passing on the position in the 2025 draft. Diddly diddly dink. What want me to do it again? ESPN is telling you that the reason the Cowboys will draft a defensive end next year is because they ignore the position this year. And there’s your head slap. I’m going to make the shift now. I’m This isn’t just about bashing ESPN. We do plenty of that and they deserve more. You have identified the oops. They didn’t skip on taking a defensive a pass rusher this year. They took one in the second round. They took easy. They took him at pick number 44. So, he’s not an afterthought. He had 17 and a half sacks last year. So, it’s not like he lacks credentials. and he has a chance to start and that slips by ESPN’s cowboy radar. They are writing and typing and talking so fast about the Cowboys that they’re forgetting what they’re even saying. I really am not trying to make this yet another bashfest of Bristol. I make mistakes. Of course, I divorced two of them. Fix my mistakes. That’s right. That’s right. Fish out is right twice. Fish out. The reason you should be furious, not just sensitive, the reason Cowboys Nation should be not just sensitive, but furious about your team getting ripped by ESPN on a daily basis is that you have the right to have your demand answered. Okay, fine. Rip us, but have your ducks in a row. Say that the Cowboys need a defensive end, but don’t say they don’t have any. To the credit of the Cowboys, take out your number two pencils here because once we go once we take one minute and go through this, you’re going to go, “Wow.” Let’s do give the Cowboys some credit here. They’ve they have always valued pass rush defensive end. Always around here. I can’t speak for Harvey Martin, Two Tall Jones, although I think that says plenty. But I can speak for Tony Tolbert, Charles Haley, and more. Always. That’s continued on. They value edge rushers, defensive ends in a tremendous way. The evidence ready number two pencils. They draft and develop Michael Parsons into a premier one. First round pick 2021. They have the patience of waiting on Sam Williams from the second round 2022. They have the investments in Marshon Nelan second round 2024 and easy second round this year. That’s guys, that’s four pass rush defensive ends in five years using a one, a two, a two, and a two. You can’t invest any more than that. You can’t do any more than that in a draft. In a five-year draft period, virtually almost. They I’m surprised Bristol wouldn’t turn around and criticize them for investing too much in pass rush defensive end. Five drafts, four guys, a one, a two, a two, and a two. Again, we’re not even counting signing uh Dante Fowler and the other moves that they made that might help. I I would say the Solomon Thomas kind of stuff. Pretty minor move. Dante Fowler could start, but so could Easy. So could Sam DB Cooper, we should get through this year before we start worrying about next year. The mock draft thing I just find amusing. Uh, number one, I mean, most of all for me, I have no idea who you’re talking about. I can’t name I mean, I guess I can name one now cuz I’m looking at it. I can’t name anybody who’s in next year’s draft. I mean, like, literally, I can’t name anybody. I don’t care yet. Uh ESPN thinks readers do and and ESPN knows what the audience wants. Otherwise, ESPN wouldn’t exist. But the Cowboys do not pass on or forget about or skip edge rushers. They do not pass on that position. Quite the contrary, it’s ESPN who’s the one who’s forgetting and skipping and ignoring specifically now about the easy pick which is right in their face. Which is why, with all due respect, of which when it comes to Bristol, I have very little, which is why, with all due respect, here on the Fish Report and at cowboyscountry.com, I so often urge you as a Cowboy fan to get your information from Frisco, not from Bristol. Bish out.

We are going O-line, WR or CB in round 1 next year
That's why we couldn't stop the run in the past addressing the ends. They just make up stuff
Only losers care about next year's draft at this point in the season. There's a reason ESPN's numbers are dropping.
9:05 a man of God you know that God does not allow divorce… let’s joke about that though OK fish good job.

Fish, for us, by what you do, it's easy to wade through the bullsh on the internet. I see claims of trades or cuts every day, but unless I have heard it from you, I know it's bogus clickbait. Thank you.
The only thing that makes me furious is that the Jones boys love making player contracts cost them more money and fielding a non-competitive team. Last year's blow-it-up is a prime example.
Stephen A hates the cowboys fans because he said so. So i hate him F**K em
I'm sorry but why are we talking what might happen in over a year from now.
I'm going to break it here first with you Fish, and appropriately so EZE 👎 = ROC 🎉Let's call the man ROC
We appreciate that you take these topics as seriously as we do, Fish!
