Milwaukee Brewers vs New York Mets – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | July 3, 2025 MLB Season
exit velocity of any team in the majors. Swing and a miss. Peterson got him with a slider and Felix strikes out to open the ninth. Contrarious one for nine in the series and he flies one out to center field and Tyrone Taylor the former Brewer backpedals to make the catch to end. And whenever you get the ball through the ace that night deep to left back goes Demo out of the warning track. He’s got room to make the catch and that retired decide. It’s in there for a call. Strike three. He was looking for the change up and he got the fast ball and Varte is struck out for the first out. Two two coming to Lindor and he taps one toward third. Durban on the charge. Makes the running throw on target. Two away. Very nice early setting and the fast ball on the outside corner and Kintana gets a couple of call third strikes in the opening inning as he gets Sodto one two three day thing in this game another right-handed bat needs a double play ball right to bait the step of the to 443 double play and he rips this one to right field free going back it’s over his head and it’s Brandon Nos breaks again. He opens the scoring for the second straight game with a home on his 17th of the year. And it’s one- nothing New York. And just as he did against Jacob Merowski last night, he jumped on the first pitch. Started the night fifth in the National League in batting. And he grounds this one down to the line. Doubles from his knees by Peterson in time to get the speedy freely. Three ground ball out for Peterson. One, two coming and it’s in there for a call three. Got looking at a slider. Curio thought that ball was up. But Peterson’s got his third strike out. Got a ground ball to the left side. Lora has it just beyond second. The relay Bentos looked like he was going to try for it and then backed off at the last moment again the 3-2 chopper hit toward third. Tough play and there’ll be no play for Bentos and that’ll tie the game. Kale of Durban tops an infield hit and he struck it down with the back curve ball side. Drew is tied with an uneared run. One of the four threw a gem. Jimbo hits one on the right side. Monastario with a sliding backhand stop and he throws him out. Beautiful play by Andrew Monario and smacked toward the gap in left center field and Ortiz has himself an extra base hit. Taylor plays to car and Ortiz cruises to second base with a ringing double. And he bounces one slowly to third. That’ll advance the runner at least. Bentos throws him out. Nice play. Bentos had a good night at third base, but Ortiz able to take third on the play. And so the go ahead run to third with one out. Swinging buns and he hits a grounder down to Alonzo. The throw coming home and he’s out by a mile. Well, Pete struggled on that throw early in the se two coming and he hooks one of the air to left and Demo’s right there waiting for it. side retire lead off double brewers don’t score it’s on the hitter to make contact and he grounds a double play ball with a flip on stereo the turn throw handled by Hoskins for a 643 double play
well we got ourselves a nice little pitcher duel here two patty went out to center field but right there is Cheurio to grab it and that retires the side after five and Brewers tied And he hits a ground ball down at the end zone. The second one on the first double play. Second double play turn behind Peterson tonight. 13 this year. Now that’s a huge couple of outs. O2 coming to Durban. Collins runs and it’s popped up into shallow. Right on comes Sodto. and he gets there to make the catch and that retires the side. Three hits single to left his last time up and he hits one back up the middle and Monasterio with another fine play. Hoskins with a scoop and he’s off the bat and Francisco base hit going first to third. The throw by Felic is cut off. Lor reaching down and away for a change up that nearly bound. Two two coming. Ground ball right side. Monasterio can’t get his base hit and the Mets take the lead. Marte scores. Lo to third. Solo hitting just beyond the reach of the diving. Monasterio. He drives in the goheadand run and the Mets made it two to one. Look at that hole. I just am not a fan of that defense. That ball was a foot into the left hand batter’s box and he was able to reach it somehow. Now first and third and one two coming. Ground ball right side. Monaster can’t get his face hit and the Mets take the lead. Marte scores. Lroy the third. Soul hitting just beyond the reach of the diving. Monasterio. He drives in the go ahead run and the Mets lead it two to one. Monasterio’s positioning on that play. And now Allonzo drives one of the gap in left center. And that ball is off the wall. In to score comes Lindore. So the third Alonzo steps in the second with an RBI double. First pitch throw by Nick Mir. And Alonzo drives a run to make it three to one. And he tries to hold up the slider, but he went around. Oh, I don’t think so. There’s a rehack with the call of third and that’s the second out one two coming and the slide was in there for a call strike three. So Bentos down looking backto back strikeout for me but the Mets take a three to one lead. Pulled out in front now Monasterio drives one toward the left field corner and that’s gone. Andrew Monisterio with his first home run of the season to get the Brewers back within a run. So after Kintano was upset at Monisterio’s positioning that led to the RBI hit by Sodto, Monasterio get the line right to the end who catches it with a little bit of a flinch and that retires the side and Torren gets saw off. It’s from the Hoskins. Oh, left a little bit behind Anderson, but he’s able to grab it and make the play for the 3-1 put out. Baby foul, tips it for strike three. And that’s the second out. Taylor hooks one out to left. Long run in for Collins. He’ll get there and that retires the side. So Anderson works a 1, two, three, seventh. We go on to the eighth. And a half swing. He went around strike three. Got him on the slider. So Sam got his first strike out. First down in the eighth, but Dozen would prefer to use him for only three tonight. Hoskins going for last strike three. The static has two strikeouts, both on the slider, both on check swing. Two down. Isaac Collins struck him out. Got him with a splitter. Brian Spannic strikes out the side in the top of the eighth. Played nip and tucked that last game. check swing liner and caught by Hoskins for the first down. 25 years old and he throws that nasty sliding strike out of the door for the second half and NMO takes a fast ball for strike three called inning over 22 stroke. One down of the night. Two two round balls for third. That’s pass it into the left field. A base hit. Yentos playing off the line against the left hand hitter and Yulich. He’s going. The pitch is a strike to throw to second. Perfect. And he’s safe. A great throw by Perez. We’ll find out right here. He got in. Gary, what do you think? Well, the question is he had his fingers up in the air. Here we go. After review, the call on the field is overturned the
Oh, wow. A huge overturn from the Mets. And that puts the Brewers down to their final out of the game. Just enough of a uniform shirt before those fingers hit the back. I’m telling you, if you slide feet first, there’s no you’re in. Two two coming. He struck him out and the ball game is over. Edwin Diaz gets couple of strikeouts to tie Todd McGraw for third on the Mets alltime relievers list. A brilliant effort by David Peterson. Strong work out of the bullpen by Static and Diaz.
