Blue Jays just swept the Yankees in a four game series..

This is quite remarkable actually. Just a few days ago, Doug Eddings behind home plate missed 11 calls in the first five innings and I stopped keeping track after that. But tonight, Yankees Blue Jays Gabe Morales is giving him a run for his money. And it’s the kind of strike zone that makes it nearly impossible for a hitter to really get comfortable in the box. He’s calling it outside. He’s calling it high. He’s calling it low. And he’s calling it in different zip codes. So bad here to Cody Bellinger. Bellinger turns simply goes stop. That’s bad.
By the way, here is the news on Clark Schmidt, starting pitcher for the Yankees. He left the game with forearm tightness.
Absolute insanity. I mean, he missed most of the 2024 season with injuries. He started the season late this year because of right rotator cuff tendonitis. Had his start pushed back on the 28th against the Athletics because the Yankees said he wasn’t recovering in between starts very well. And now we have this forearm tightness. Is it a UCL? Well, with the Yankees luck, probably. And after the Chisum double, Dominguez strikes out. Vulpi grounds out, gets a run in, though. Wells walk. Stanton pinch hits and grounds out on the first pitch he sees. And in the eighth inning, the Blue Jays are going to walk Aaron Judge intentionally for the fifth time this series. And do you blame them at all? Why pitch to Aaron Judge with the rest of the lineup around him? The Toronto Blue Jays have simply outplayed the New York Yankees in every aspect of the game. Through the first eight innings, the Yankees two for 12 with runners in scoring position again. 10 men left on base. And guess what happened in the bottom of the eighth inning? The Yankee killer George Springer left center. And he’s done it again. The Blue Jays kicked the Yankees asses. There’s no other way to put it. They outplayed them. They just were the better baseball team. They just swept the Yankees in four games. They are in first place. The Yankees are not in first place. Luke Weaver has also been completely falling apart.
