If we somehow come back and win the series, or even just take 1 game and put up a good fight…I’m still fully behind the team
But if we get swept again…especially in this continued manner…major changes need to happen. People need to get fired or step down

Can we gain any trade value by moving matz to rotation before deadline? Or only risk hurting his value. I’d dfa mikolas insert Mcgreevy trade or dfa fedde and insert matz. Then at deadline pick up some bum or let a kid takeover
I hope Miles Mikolas feels bad
I hate Mikolas so much. I hate him on a professional level, a personal level, an ideological level, and a spiritual level. I hate his stupid fucking moustache and his socks and his jerkoff nickname and how he talks.
I would say to fire him into the sun but that’s too compassionate, I think it’s better to fire him away from the sun so his body floats through the darkness of the universe alone for all eternity.
Or maybe we can just finally for the love of god DFA him.
Berti > Mikolas
DFA Mikolas
At least we broke the shutout streak I guess.

For those who weren’t in the gamethread.
Going to pretend this game never happened
🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂 it’s okay guys, you still split the series! Cardinals have never looked better!
This game did not happen.
Happy 4th of July Cardinals Nation

Need something big to happen at the trade deadline or I’m checking out. Nothing changes if nothing changes.
…. I suppose I still love this team
Well this is the last season of Mikolas contract… if there’s a bright side here
Can we please sell at the deadline Mo?
Mikes Mikolas hates America
Thank you, Apple TV, for sparing me from having the opportunity to watch this game!
I think Miles Mikolas is an excellent symbol for a lot of fans’ anger. To be fair, I also think a lot of fans have wrongly convinced themselves that we have it way worse than we actually do.
But continuing with Mikolas (statistically one of the worst pitchers in MLB the last few years) represents the stagnant, hardheaded thinking that allowed the Cardinals to slip in recent years. They refuse to cut the cord and rid themselves of this net negative effect on the team that he is, even if everyone else but they are able to call it what it is in that regard
And if you don’t see the work they’re doing to improve player development, which most fans probably don’t, it’s very easy to see Mikolas get shelled every week and think “damn, do the Cardinals even care?”
Well I get to go to a party tonight with a bunch of die hard Cubs fans, so I got that going for me.
Not sure what was a tougher watch… The hot dog eating contest, or Mikolas’s performance
Sell everyone at the deadline
Last Friday Sonny threw a Maddux, a complete game shutout in less than 90 pitches. Today Mikolas threw a Mikolas, 8 earned runs with 6 home run balls in 6 innings.
DFA Mikolas
I’m ready for the trade deadline.
The worst is feeling is how close to being a good competitive team we are. If we had gone all in this off season just on pitching we would be solidly in the race. This rebuild almost feels like it is too late in the player development of our best home grown guys.
Didn’t get to watch today, I see I missed another Mikolas implosion. I’ll be so glad when he’s gone
Miles is not great!! Maybe one of the worst contracts in recent memory!! 🤔
Rats
Let’s try this again. There goes the irrational exuberance. This team is not as good as some of you want to believe and not as bad as some of you insist. Enjoy the ups, accept the downs.
This is obviously not a bad team also. Imagine rebuilding from where the Rockies or white Sox are. Rebuilding from a team that has a consistent winning record gives me a lot of hope for the next few seasons. All up from here.
