And it’s going to start here by going to this match up between the Royals and the Diamondbacks from Chase Field. For the Royals, it’s Michael Waka listed as the starter in this one. While the Diamondbacks, no starter confirmed. I have seen Ryan Nelson listed as the starter for Arizona in a couple of places. Hopefully that is something that we can try to confirm for you on Saturday’s morning show. But like I said, Ryan Nelson, you know, if he if he does go here, it’s a solid option. But what we do know is that Michael Waka slated to go for the Royals here. Waka has been hitable, you know, in a lot of his recent outings, a 4.69 ERA across his last seven starts. But the thing is, the majority of those outings have been on the road. And while Waka’s been a five to six inning guy, he’s been getting hit in those five to six innings. Last time out on the road against the uh the Mariners, it was five runs on eight hits over five innings of work, a pair of home runs, and only one strikeout. Now, he did have a good start on the road against Texas, but also six innings and three-run ball against the White Socks in a loss. four runs on seven hits over five innings against the Minnesota Twins. So, we’ve seen, you know, Waka get hit. And for me, it’s against, you know, or it’s backed by a Royals lineup that hasn’t been all that consistent. Again, if you watch my videos here regularly at Pick Dogs, first off, I appreciate you, but you’re going to hear me say it again for a broken record. Every time I cover the Royals, pretty much for the rest of the season, this is an offense I don’t trust for consistency among the every every team in baseball. The Royals are up there in terms of games played where they’ve scored three runs or less. This is a Royals offense that has not been consistent in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching. Their team OPS numbers against righties are just outside the bottom five. They’re hitting 224, which isn’t great. The Babup isn’t anything special. And like I said, I just don’t know if I can trust this Royals offense, you know, to be able to do some damage here. Now, even against an Arizona Diamondbacks bullpen that, like I said, has been, you know, nothing short of questionable as of late, you know, with a uh an erra out of the pen well over six 6.75 over the last seven days. Still think that Arizona’s offense is the better offense here and can be able to get to Michael Walka a lot easier than Kansas City could get to Ryan Nelson. Again, proven that or, you know, better, you know, um, provided that it is Nelson in the start here. Um, but like I said, Arizona’s been one of the better teams in baseball against righties this season. And Kansas City’s edge in the bullpen where they do have a 4.56 bullpen erra over the last seven days. Not enough of an edge here for me to want to take a shot on the uh the Royals in this matchup. I just think Arizona’s edge at the plate far outweighs any sort of pitching advantage they might have here. So, I’m going to roll with the Diamondbacks in this one and that’s going to be my free pick.
