  7. Sadly The Nats are just a training ground for future Stars for other teams. If the owners wont pay to keep their best homegrown players you can’t really blame the GM or Manager.

  8. I agree with letting Davey go, but Rizzo i don't understand. Especially just before the draft where they have the number 1 pick. The Lerner's have become the new Snyder's and its so infuriating to watch.

  9. Martinez was fired because the team lost 11 games in a row last month and then on Friday and Saturday got blown out by a combined 21-5 score by the Red Sox. Frankly, he has been a middling manager since day one but that fire in a bottle World Series not only saved his job at that time but bought him several years of grace. 

    I agree it is strange to fire the GM just before the draft. Rizzo's performance in the offseason player acquisition season was pitiful. His biggest acquisition , Nate Lowe has been a bust. A report I read said the fans wanted the team to be active in the market but instead " they got a plethora of cheap, low risk one year deals. It was very similar to their approach in previous off-seasons." Trevor Williams was re signed and Rizzo bought in Mike Soroka "to bolster the pitching staff". Both have been AWFUL. And meanwhile, MacKenzie Gore is roommates with Paul Skenes in the " Best Pitchers with No Run Support" hotel because their bats absolutely suck.

  10. They should’ve never left Montreal!! The only good thing about them moving to DC is Phillies fans get more opportunity to see their team play! DC having a team is laughable, especially when they have a team in Baltimore, which are both smaller markets.
