More analysis of off-season moves and speculation on what else the front office might do. I know a lot of people disagreed with the author on the last one, but I like that it generates discussion regardless.

  1. I like the analysis on the new guys and where they might fit in using the fancy new stats.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like the idea of moving Marchy or KJ for Jason Robertson.

  2. Will give Lundestrom a chance, but I think they could have spent a relatively minor amount more for the two year for Danforth. He is a leader in the locker room, plays all forward positions on 3rd or 4th line if needed, kills penalties, all hustle all the time, and has a knack of scoring some clutch goals! (See Stadium Series as prime example, but there are others!)

  3. We aren’t trading KJ. But I’d love to have seen a prospect and a couple picks for Jason Robertson! I like DBB but he is still another year away from the roster full time. He and maybe one other guy (Chinakov needs a big rebound season now healthy & a right spot to use him the lineup) but I’d package both of them an a 1st for Robertson at his current AAV and age!
I think Jack Willams has a shot as the extra forward out of camp, but probably better he play everyday in Cleveland. I like ZAR, good PK guy and locker room guy, but I think he is going to have a hard time being a regular in the lineup if everyone is healthy. But as a veteran, better him being the extra forward who can adjust being in and out of the 4th line potentially
