Phillies vs. Giants Game Highlights (7/8/25) | MLB Highlights
law enforcement appreciation night here at the park. And so this was some of the the goings on before the ball game. Robbie Ray felt well protected. See, they’re putting the radar gun on Robbie Ray. Well, they lined up in the outfield and there we stood in remembrance of those that have fallen in the last year. On the hill tonight for the Giants will be the veteran Robbie Ray. Ray 6’2, 210 pounder. He’s 33 years of age in his 11th year at the big league level of the year. 18 starts nine and three with a 2680 area and all that’s done is put him on the National League Allstar team. Turner drives one to left. Ramos back and in front of the wall he makes the catch. Barber lifts one high to right. I uh I thought they were both gone. Here’s the wind up. The one-two pitch on the ground to second. Casey Schmidt playing there and he throws to first to get Harper. And that is a strong start. So what do you think? Eight pitches. What’s wrong with him? Still a good omen. Taiwan Walker three and five. 3.64 erra. Six pitches. He’s got a lot of them. Cutter sinker for Seamer. Those are the fast balls. The secondary is a split, slider, and curveball. Five ball right center field. Castiano started back, now comes over and a high fly ball to deep left field. Kemp’s got room on the track, makes the catch. There’s a swing at a ground ball, hit the first. Easy play for Harper. He’ll step on the bag and that’ll do it. Phillies loaded their lineup with righties tonight against the Giants left-hander. The pitch, Swag and a miss. He got him to chase a high fast ball. Strike three. The 2-2. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Got him on a curve. Kemp had a long at bat there, but ultimately he goes down. Two-2. Sosa strikes out swinging and a curve ball. So after the walk, three straight strikeouts for the Giants left-hander and that’ll bring up Jung Lee. Runner goes on the ground. Base hit. Yenski never stops. You know what that was? That was a hit and run. The Giants have first and third with one out. Here’s Dom Smith. Check swing, base hit. How do you do? I don’t even think he meant to do it. Almost like a check swing, base hit from Dom Smith. It’s one- nothing Giants. Here’s a swinging a ground ball towards second. Sosa’s got it. Backhand pick flips to Turner and on to first in a double play and that’ll end the frame. I think just kind of getting back to that. This is on the ground and a nice backhand by Chapman. That’s a pretty good player right there on both ends. A long way to the backand and when he finally gets his feet underneath him, he’s in foul territory. Yeah, he makes it look easy, that’s for sure. Dom does too over there picking these things. Line drive base hit it to left field. He was not going on that pitch and it’ll be first and second with one out. It’s an eightgame hitting streak for Trey. It’s a double steel baby. Lefties are now three for their last 40 against Ray. Two- two pitch to Bryce Harper. He grounds one softly toward short charging. Adamus has it off one foot. Throws to first. Pulled out of the dirt by Dom Smith. Out number three. Adamus. Nice play. And Dom Smith helped him out just like he did Matt Chapman to start the inning. One- nothing Giants in the last of the fourth. One away and off comes popped up out towards shallow left field. Long run in for Otto Kemp coming in. Dives, makes the catch as he slams to the ground. Two outs here in the fourth inning. He hasn’t played a whole lot of outfield. And this is a big left field here in San Francisco. He had come a long way. This ball was up there for a while, but he busted it. Here’s the pitch. Swinging a miss. Struck him out. He goes with a 3-2 breaking ball. And Schmidt down on strikes. And Taiwan Walker with four solid innings tonight. Tanner Banks out of the bullpen takes over. Lee grounds one left side. It’s going to squirt on through. Base hit. Jung Hu Lee is two for two. Served out to left center field. Rojos on the run. Makes the catch as he leaves his feet and there’s one away. I mean, this is a tremendous play. When this ball got off the bat, I didn’t think that there was a prayer, but the Heat really tracked this ball well. zoned in on it. Stayed right with it. Here’s Bailey. Bailey grounded into a double play. His first time up. Bailey’s got a base hit into center field. We’re down and that one out. Lee is going to tag from second. He’ll go to third. Chance for a big hit here for Raphael Des. First and third, two down. Breaking ball. Swinging a miss. He got him. Big strike out for Banks as he gets Raphael Devers with a runner in scoring position. Pitches by inning for Robbie Ray. The last two have been economical. Now the Phillies need a clutch hit from Otto Kemp who’s 0 for two. The swing and a base hit in the left field. He’s done it. Around third is Bomb. He’s going to come home to score. The throw to third is cut off. Kemp is in at second and the Phillies have a hit with a man in scoring position as Otto Kemp has tied the game. It’s 1-1. And that’ll be the last pitch tonight for Robbie Ray as Bob Melvin is on his way to the mound to make the pitching change. And now the Phillies have two runners in scoring position. 30th appearance on the year for Spencer Bibbons. Two and two with a 30-9. He’s had a solid first half. The O2 Sosa hits a fly ball to shallow center. Adamus back from short. He’ll make the catch on the move and Bivvens does his job. Keeps the game tied here. It’s a 1-1 game with a go-ahead run 90 ft away with two outs in the seventh. And now Kyle Schwarber coming up. Fly ball right field. That’s deep. Yustki’s looking. It has gone. Twerun home run for Schwarber. It went into McCovby Cove and the Phillies have taken the lead. It’s three to one. Wow. A huge huge at bat. This is the second hit with the runners in scoring position in the last 28 or so. Yeah, they got a better streak going now. Robert walks him and the Giants have two on with nobody out. Down three to one with Willie Adamas who has been their hottest hitter coming to the plate and the 3-2 swing and a miss. He got him and Adamus is down on strikes. One away and here comes Rob Thompson. Jordan Romano is on maybe for five outs. We’ll see. They’re trying to get at least these two outs. Popped up right side. Sosa is under it. Infield fly roll has been called and they’re two outs. Two pitch. Swung on. Popped in the air. Left field, left center. Marsh has it measured. He’s waiting. He’s got it. And what a job by Jordan Romano to get out of the jam as he puts out the fire here in the eighth. That’s two loud noises. And now the winning run steps in the batters box. I’ll tell you this about Patrick Bailey. He’s having a tough year offensively, but he does have the clutch gene. Patrick hits a high drive deep right center field. This one is off the top of the wall and it ricochets and it’s rolling on the warning track. Two runs are in. Bailey coming around third. Patrick Bailey scores. It’s an inside the park walk-off home run. Now we’ve seen everything and Patrick Bailey gets tackled as he crosses home plate. Amazing. A threerun walk-off inside the park home run for Patrick Bailey. And the Giants win four to

Inside the park runoff home run!
Giants are back everyone.
Bailey’s walk off was a homerun in 29/30 ballparks. And literally the one ballpark where it wasn’t a homerun, it was….and the first inside the park homerun from a catcher since Aug 11, 1926….Bailey POTG 🔥🔥🧡🖤
Holy cow, hummm baby!
Fun fact: last inside the park walk off home run was in this same ballpark
Jordan Romero needs to get out Philadelphia seriously he just f**k the team 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Anyways how is your qouta's Law enforcement? I bet it is inflated.
Hah that’s crazy! I left the tv too early
Two inside the park walk off home runs in same season is crazy work. Let’s go Giants.
Fire Rob!!! I'm over this..Romano, Ross, Lazar.. you all stink!!! bring on the Eagles.. at least they know how to win and management knows how to run a team.. I was done with Rob when he took Wheeler out of the World Series, who is our best pitcher by the way, to bring in Alvarado to blow it and give up a moonshot to Alvarez.. after 80 pitches he took out Wheeler who was dominating by the way in a win or go home!!.. terrible!! STINKS!!!
Ohhhhhhh myyyyyy nodded what a clutch ab for Patrick Bailey!!!! Love it!!!! Let's go giants!!!!
Let’s go 🔥🔥
