Brutal blow for them today with the Burnes injury probably seals their fate as sellers at the deadline. Barring an unexpected and unlikely positive prognosis with Corbin Burnes' elbow, they simply dont have enough starting pitching to legitimately compete for a playoff spot in the NL. Even if Burnes only misses a start or 2, they likely still dont have the requisite pitching to compete, but with him likely looking at a potential Tommy John Surgery, that's a death blow they dont have the rotation depth to survive.
One good deadline and they’ll be in great shape by next year. I say sell in 25 but don’t give up and not retool in the offseason

I looked at the roster, and who are they going to trade? If they had good players, they wouldn't be so bad.
Gallen and Suarez getting traded. Sucks but it’s ok they’ll get some real nice prospects for those guys.

I’m a huge Dbacks fan born and bred since ‘98. With that being said, they should sell at the deadline. Burnes is done until 2027 essentially and Gallen, Kelly, Suarez and Naylor are all free agents this off season. You can’t let those guys walk for nothing and realistically, the only one you’d attach a qualifying offer to is Gallen. Gotta just bite the bullet and trade them all for major league ready young guys .
