Orlando Magic fall to Sacramento Kings in Summer League opener #orlandomagic #jaserichardson

This is Philip Rosman Reich, the host of Lockdown Magic as the Orlando Magic fall in their summer league opener to the Sacramento Kings. But as we all know, the score in these things don’t really matter. It’s about how your key players play. And frankly, the Magic should be very happy with how all of their roster players played in this game. Tristan Dilva looked incredibly comfortable, incredibly under control, and a little bit more aggressive looking after a shot. He ended up with, I believe, 17 points. really efficient like seven seven rebound like seven assists, you know, nine rebounds, something like that. Like he had a really solid game overall. Jace Richardson in his rookie debut took a little bit of time for him to get going, but he found his place, too, and made some great plays. I loved his energy and I loved his toughness on defense. He’s obviously got a size deficit to make up. He you make up for that size deficit with energy and I really like the way that he fought and competed. And Noah Penda, he’s still he’s as raw as I think everyone thought he would be. He had a little bit too much of a green light to shoot. Was a little bit over his skis, but when he found himself, you could see his physicality and see how he could make a difference really on both ends for a summer league game. Yes, the Magic fought all the way back. They tied the game with a 12-0 run late, but made some mistakes, made some poor shot decisions down the stretch, ended up losing the game, but I I really like the way the Magic played, and I’m eager to see how they grow in their next outing.

The Orlando Magic lost to the Kings, but they saw all their key players show them something.
