If you cannot tell by the thumbnail title of this video, in today’s video, we’re going to be talking about the Hornets winning 111 to 105 against the Utah Jazz in the first Las Vegas summer league game, specifically our first summer league game period. I like what I saw. I mean, we’re going to get straight to it. I I like what I saw from a lot of our players. Um, I mean, we’re going to go down and talk about each individual player, uh, the ones that matter. Not to say these other guys career don’t matter, but you get the point. Uh, the especially the contracted guys, but yeah, I like what I saw. Um, this obviously is no indication of kind of what will translate during the regular season. Like for example, Ryan Cochran I felt like played a lot um of like he kind of played up and not really dropped, which that’s kind of what I would expect him to play. I know it’s not Charles Lee typical style. Normally he puts like the big on the non-shooter, but I feel like drafting Ryan Calpern at first you plan to have him play drop. He didn’t do much of that this game. So things like that obviously, you know, will be different going into the regular season, but still lot of lot of good things to talk about. The first thing I want to talk about obviously Tjon Ton as y’all know I’m not the highest on Jehan and I wouldn’t say this one game has changed my perception. what has this this one game in summer league done? Um, and it’s not really this one game. It’s just more about seeing him transition from his rookie year to now. He just looks a little more confident. He doesn’t look like he well he always lacked confident. I mean, he always had the confidence, but he doesn’t look like the type of guy where I am coming from overseas. I barely speak the language. There’s just so much is changing. the only thing I have to like kind of prove my worth or value to the team is just by hooping. And it felt like last year he was just trying to do too much to prove not necessarily to prove a point, but more so to to show how valuable he could be to this team. This time around, even though it’s only one game, so we’ll see as it as it continues. But even in the practice video, it just looks like he’s more of a basketball player, and he showed a lot of that. There was times where, you know, he did some things like, “All right, come on.” But I think when he’s on the floor, he thinks he’s one of the better players on the floor, which there’s nothing wrong with that. You kind of need guys that exuberate that kind of confidence. But there’s a lot to like. I mean, defensively, he always going to bring energy, but he just looked like he didn’t like deer in headlights anymore. He just looked a little more solid. He was able to put his body on a couple of guys and just like wall them off or prevent them from cutting or prevent them from driving. Like there was just a lot of things he was able to do defensively that I really liked. It wasn’t just like his size and his and his stature was the defense. It it felt like he actually knew where he needed to be placed on defense. On offense, he still played a little too fast, but there were times like he had this like drive where he like really slowed up and laid it up. I think that was that’s something we want to saw from him from last year. And I think that just having that jump from last year to this year is huge. And I like what I see from him. I think I don’t know if I can automatically say he’ll be a contributor next season. I feel as though he’ll be really solid. I feel as though, you know, when we are in those situations where we need someone to play the four for a stretch and provide some energy, which we we kind of flirted with that a little bit last year. Ton, I I feel more comfortable with him in those minutes. Now, he still, as you can see, he still had like five fouls, so he was getting a little reckless at times. um and a three-point shooting. Like there was the six threes is is minuscule to the amount of times it looked like he wanted to take a three. Like I I it would probably more like 12, but he he was able to contain himself. And I I just think he did good. When you think about where he was last year and thinking about where he is now, I think he looked good. I mean, obviously there’s some, you know, I’m not judging him whe whether it’s fair or not, whether it makes sense or not. I’m not necessarily judging him on the scale of like the better NBA player. And I’m just saying from where he was last year defensively, offensively, I just like a lot what I saw. And then of course while growing those areas, it didn’t seem as though he did lose the positive intangibles he did have coming into his rookie year. So like what I saw from Tan um and then his draft classmate KJ Simpson was went crazy. And once we I think once we got Denwitty, I felt like KJ and NSJ are out. I felt like KJ and Nick Jr. are out. Technically KJ’s on a two-way so he doesn’t necessarily have to leave. And then we Scion, Cal, uh, McNeely, and Khan all are signed standard contract, so KJ could still hold that spot. KJ would be one of those guys if for whatever reason he’s off the team. I would actually be sad like just his personality like going in last year, I thought he was going to be a good player. I had him as like a top 35 player. I can’t quite remember exactly where I had him, but I had him like top 35. I thought it was a great pickup for us and he showed like part of that today. Like three steals, five assists, 21 points. He was he was scoring and he just felt like a leader on the court. Felt like a true traditional point guard, which is something that I felt like we struggled to have in summer league specifically for a while. And I think he was able to do that. Obviously, he’s still able to he was still scoring. You don’t like four turnovers, but in summer league, I mean, I don’t really don’t care about that stuff. But other other than that, I mean, he just showed everything he possibly could to prove how how good he can be. I like him as like a scrappy, and I even say this like on a play on his contract, he’s like a scrappy two-way guy. He’s not like your lock down defender, but it’s effort all the way around. And I think offensively, he’s just so wellrounded as offensive player. He can drive, he can shoot, he can pass, he’s a connector, he can be the lead ball hand. Like there’s just so much he can do that I like. He know his ability to come off screens, his ability to read the defense, the ability to uh play defense like on his offball person and then be able to get the steal. He was in the passing lanes. I even felt like sometimes he would reach on defense and it may not he may not get the steal but it disrupted the ball handle enough and he didn’t foul. Like I don’t know. I just there was a lot I like from KJ tonight and I and I that’s like very positive going forward especially I know we have a deeper guard rotation now but you never know with injuries. This team is still kind of in flux. Of course, I don’t think we’re at that core where we’re saying these are our guys. We’re going to grow them. Let’s see what happens. Make adjustments then. I don’t think we’re there yet. So, the Russ is still in flux. So, he could find his way, you know, getting some getting some solid minutes. But, yeah, I really like what I saw from KJ going to the other guard, Scion. I actually, and this sounds crazy. I I mean, but I really don’t expect Scion to have a big statistical game. I’m not going to say ever. That’s that’s not true. but specifically in the summer league and probably, you know, more than likely his rookie season, but that’s not where I see his impact as. He always talks about who he wants to be in the NBA is Drew Holiday for the Celtics. Um, and honestly, you can give me any version of Drew Holiday, but I get what he’s saying that cuz that’s more of the Drew. He’s not really on ball too much. He’s really just there to be like this connector all together offensively, defensively. I’m just here to kind of to to to assure a spot on the court and you know what I give you. You know, I’m not going to give you anything less. I may not give you 30 points. I may not give you 10 assists. I may not give you three steals. Like, I may not do any of that, but you know what I bring. And it’s never like a detriment to the team. It’s always going to be a positive when I’m on the floor. And that’s what it felt like for him tonight, especially with his defense. He’s literal glue. I I mentioned that on Twitter. He did a really good job of just sticking with his defenders. Uh, I know he air ballled a three, but I mean it is what it is. I I just don’t that’s just not what I’m looking for from him. I know at some point obviously in the league for him to stay, he’s going to have to hit the at least the corner. He’s going to have to be dangerous. And I believe he can do that. But what I see when I see Scion, he gave me that tonight. And I think I don’t know if I said it here. I don’t know if I said on Twitter. I need to condense like where I say stuff so I can be more so I can remember correctly. But what I want from like what I want from these rookies is to do what you’ve already been doing and I think he is anam example uh he’s a great example of that. I mean yes he did a little more at Duke in terms of like his shooting was better and stuff but everything else what we saw tonight is what he did at Duke and that’s beneficial to the team and that’s what I like about who we drafted are all these guys you know what they do best and what they can do right now is can be helpful to the team. So continue doing that. I like I said, I’m not expecting him to have a crazy game. I expect all his games to look like this. Look, you know, but the defense was there. Um I think he’s a high IQ player. It it was just all there. So that that’s what I really looking for and he gave it to me. I mean, once again, shooting needs to be better, but everything else I got. Uh Ryan Calbrer, we’ll go Khan last. We’ll go Khan last cuz we’ll go Khan last. But anyway, Cal Briner, as I mentioned at the top of the video, I don’t expect him to be like as high up as he was a lot of the time in in this game. Um, and you know, that’s that caused him to kind of get beat to the rim on back cuts and stuff like that. Not necessarily his fault, but that’s, you know, that’s just kind of the brand of basketball we’re playing in summer league. I don’t expect that to be kind of what how we use him in in the regular season. Um, sorry, Trey Johnson’s on my other screen and you know how I am about Trey Johnson. I need to see that. But yeah, Calbrer, I expect him to do more drop in the regular season. I think that allows him to get more blocks. I think that allows him to stand more people up at the rim. Um, he is a little slow. Not even a little, he is pretty slow. That’s another reason why I was very concerned about what our center room is going to look like. I have no I have no doubt in his defensive intensity. I have no doubt about his defensive playmaking. I have no doubt about uh just the impact he can he can have on defense. Not at all. Like I I literally don’t have it. It’s literally can his feet keep up. That that’s kind of really where I’m at with him. I think everything else is fine. He has a better low post game than I expected. He he was moving a lot. The three he took looked good. He missed, but he it looked good. It was like on the on that on the on the hash or Yeah, on the hash. Um it looked good. He just didn’t hit. But there was a lot of things he did well. I I really like the playmaker from him because that’s another thing that’s going to really help this team. Especially when you think about the LaMelos, Colin Sexton, Brandon Miller’s running around being that guy to where he can make a move, cause someone to collapse and he’s going to kick the ball out. Like I think that’s another thing that’s going to be really beneficial. My alarm is about to set. I’m just going to talk over. I’m not going to edit this out. But there it goes. Anyway, um yeah, I like that from Calbrer. I one thing I like about him also is like being able to make th those those uh post moves and then kicking it out. You know, that’s something we not necessarily the post moves, but being able to kick from the post as, as I mentioned, we really really needed that from Grant. I think that was a very underestimated part of Grant’s game. I think Mason Plumbley allows a lot of that. and having Cal Brer with this floor of playmaking and just offensive awareness and adding Mason Plumbley who I’m like I’m not the biggest Mason Plumbley fan but I can never take away just his IQ when it comes to that when it comes to playmaking when it comes to ball handling as a big I think that’s the perfect person to run learn that from because he’s I think Mason Plumbing is like really good at that. So Cal Briner, I’m not really worried about the defense. I’m just worried about his foot speed. Can he keep up in the league, but if we play him in drop, which once again, as a rookie going into the season, that’s just what I expect from him. I think he’ll be I think he’ll look a lot better. I don’t know if I don’t know if the foot speed will ever get there, but at the same time, I am actually pretty comfortable with him on the perimeter. Like he looked pretty decent on the perimeter. Um just because of his size, was able to kind of contain a couple of guys. And then of course he’s long so he can contest a lot of shots. It’s just you know once they get real quick once you know obviously the league uh gets into the real NBA it’ll be a little different but still I I like what I saw for the most part. Khan K con Khan K con Khan and by last I just meant starters but because we we still got some people to talk about. Um Khan, this is my thing I’ll say about Khan. I’m actually like I’m not I’m not really concerned about his shooting. It sucked. Not even going to hold you. It sucked. He he he needs to shoot better. It’s not like these shots are bad. I think he took a couple of bad shots and there was one time I think he was going up. He was just real loose with the ball and then his free throw didn’t even look good. But this is the thing with shooters and Liam McNeely is the other part of this like when we’ll talk about him next. This the thing with shooters is they’re hot and cold and you have to you have to take it. It just it just is what it is. Um, you know, I think that he has more like getting to the rim and stuff, which he showed. I think there was a block by Philowski that uh he showed his ability to get to the rim there. It just got blocked. And I think that, you know, that’s timing and understanding the league and understanding, you know, these bigs are quicker than your college bigs. Um, and then there was another one as I mentioned, he was trying to go. he was loose to the ball, got knocked out, but his the movement to get there and his ability to kind of wall off who’s actually guarding him cuz both times it was help defense that really got him. Uh, but his individual person and as Jaylen Green’s on my screen, his individual defender, I think he did a good job of just being able to muscle and maneuver his way to the rim. So, like he showed a lot of things I saw a Duke that I liked. It just didn’t hit. And I think at some point it will. I feel like the difference between him and McNeely, especially when it comes to shooters, is that McNeely has that energy and that persona of just I’m going to get mine. Cuz at the beginning, McNeely looked a little nervous. It Khan just felt it it just felt like as the night went on, he got I wouldn’t say worse, but he just wasn’t as impactful because even at the beginning of the game, he wasn’t hitting, but the playmaking looked good, the ball handling looked good. I think he was reading the defense well. Um, his defense I thought was pretty good. Like he he didn’t let too many people get by him and I felt like he was causing like a lot of he didn’t he wasn’t necessarily making defensive plays as you see. He only had one steal, but that one seal doesn’t necessarily tell the full story because there’s a lot of times he disrupted a lot of their offense. So to me, he showed what kind of player he can be, especially like if he’s not, this is my thing. If he’s not hitting, that’s the one thing you got to worry about shooters. If they’re not hitting, what else are they doing? and he wasn’t hitting and I felt like at the first half he was still doing a lot of other things to make me be like okay he’s still impacting the team he’s still helping like you know they’re not going to you know he’s going to eventually hit as the second half went on he didn’t hit but he also wasn’t making those impactful plays and it just seemed as though I wouldn’t say he got on his head cuz it wasn’t you know he was still clapping and head up and things like that but it just wasn’t he just was uncomfortable you could you could tell he was obviously uncomfortable um I think it’ll happen uh I will say that with summer league and with the talent around these guys are extremely talented especially for a summer league roster. I think he’ll look a lot better with LaMelo Brandon and and and that’s the idea. I’m not going to I’m not going to diminish what performances look like in summer league, but I’m also not going to harp on them too much because I do truly feel like once you’re around LaMelo Brandon all that spacing, all the playmakers is going to look a lot better and he’s and kind of thrives off those guys. Um I think he can do it here. I think he’s going to have a good game eventually. We’re going to see it happen. Uh and I I I wouldn’t be surprised if his next game. He is a competitor through and through. I think he just had to find his bearings. And even even if you look at his time at Duke, like his first couple of games, he was good, but it really wasn’t like until like the middle of the season where he really started taking off. So, uh for a fourth pick, it’s it’s it’s worrisome. But at the same time, it’s literally the first game. The Jazz, you got to think about, they’re on their third game, fourth game. So, a lot of these guys have had the reps. Um, kind of know what the energy. So, it it just takes time. I’m not going to sit here and say that like he doesn’t need to do better. He obviously does. Fourth pick, need to look like the fourth pick. Don’t need you to necessarily beat Leo McNeely, who once again, I’m not saying that, you know, comparing picks or whatever, but at the same time, you just need to look like you belong. And I felt like in that second half, he dropped off. So, I I see the potential for sure as far and by the potential I simply just mean what he can do. I think that it’s still there. It’s not like I felt like it lost. I don’t feel like I got a different player. I just feel like he just wasn’t on his agame and I felt like he just was trying to get got trying to get into the groove. We’ll see how he adjusts. I think that’s really what I want to see with Khan because even in college, he adjusted. But when you’re but when you’re adjusting and your team’s that good, it’s a little different than adjusting to where I had a bunch of bad performances and then now I’m adjusting. And at Duke, you didn’t really have that many bad performances. Teams were the team was winning. Your adjustments is just skate through, you know, I had to play this way against this team, this way against this team. Those kind of adjustments, that’s easy to do when you’re winning. I would like to see what it’s, you know, they’re winning here in summer league, but at the same time, as much as summer league, you know, players want to win in summer league, it’s also about what you do individually. And in this case, you didn’t do that well. You didn’t really impact the game that much, especially in that second half. How do you bounce back? I value that more than just like what happens in this game. So, we’ll see. Uh Liam McNeely, man. First of all, I just want to get cuz I’m I’m not going to I’m going to give a quick shout out to Jaylen Sims. Jaylen Sims is a I don’t It’s one of those It’s one of those things, man. like, you know, obviously I want him to go and maybe find a spot, maybe find a home somewhere and I don’t want his hoops to kind of end with with summer league or but if I would like to keep him around G- League, summer league, he’s just a fun guy to watch. I mean, that’s literally what it comes down to. It just he reminds me not reminds me but like a few years ago we had this guy and I did a channel and if he I doubt he’s watching that cuz he has no recollection with the Hornets but when he was with the Hornets he was watching the videos but it was Ryan Fig RJ Figareroa who I think he went like three straight games without missing but he was just a fun player to watch. Their they their play styles are completely different but that’s how I feel about Jaylen Sims is he’s just a guy that I really just like watching. He’s he’s a fun player to watch. So, I just want to give my shout out to him. 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals. He was just a fun guy. He was a fun guy last year. I played in the G League and was fun. Fun guy this year. Like, I I really like him. So, yeah, I just want to give a shout out to him because once I talk about my boy here, we we end the video. But Liam McNeely, I’ll admit when we first drafted him, especially not knowing what we were doing in this the second part of the draft, um, and not really even knowing what we’re doing with the team, cuz you got to think about at this time there was no Colin didn’t I figured Trey was coming back, but we didn’t know. Uh, we no Denwitty, uh, no Mason Plumbley, even though that doesn’t help too much. And I still am concerned about the center position, but um, Grant’s looking better. I think Brandon talked about how he’s going to be like kind of more uh ramping up with his practices next week. He either said next week or next month. I can’t remember. But either way, um all that stuff was not in my mind at that time. So now I feel a lot better about it, especially when you consider the second half of the draft happened. We got a perimeter defender and Sion James. Um, and then we got Ryan Calburn who added to the big rotation, which you know, I didn’t know if I really wanted I had Ryan Calburn rated as a top 30 player, but didn’t know if like that was really the right spot to take him. I definitely thought maybe we should have taken with the one of the second round picks, which we did. Um, but I was like looking at like Rashir Fleming and kind of wings like that. And I think we still do need wings. Even though Tjon is looking a lot a little better, we still need some wing depth. But Liam McNeely, I This is kind of I wouldn’t say this is what I expected because this is not what I expected. I was upset about the pick just because we got two shooters and there was a lot of open wounds on this team to for lack of a better word. And now that, you know, there’s still some open wounds on the team, it just makes more sense because we have guys like Trey, Colin, Denwitty, uh, LaMelo, of course, like we have four extremely solid ball handlers that can get the ball to these guys. And I, you know, Khan, Liam, I knew there were going to be spot of guys, but it’s like if we’re just working with LaMelo and KJ, like what is and maybe Trey Man once again got time. I figured Trey Man was gonna come back, but I didn’t know for sure. It’s like h can these guys really get their shots off? I mean, even with Khan and his playmaker, Liam McNeely can just play off anybody. And I feel as though what I saw at Yukon, I mentioned that he did a lot of unnecessarily ball handling. And we saw at the beginning of this game where his ball handling just wasn’t top tier. Like it it didn’t need to be he didn’t need to be lamelo ball with his ball handling, but he just looked a little shaky. He didn’t really have no twitchiness to him. It just felt real stiff. It just felt real sluggish. But him moving off ball and then once he got into the rhythm, it I think there was some more juice in in the ball handling. He just looked a lot better. And I think as I mentioned with Khan and he kind of started off not shooting well and really couldn’t find his footing. Liam McNeely kind of started a little shaky but then he just started dominating. He started doing this and like that’s the Liam McNeely I want. That’s what I want from Liam McNeely. I don’t like I like there’s a lot of things I like about him. Um, but one thing I need him to bring night in and night out outside of the shooting is the the attitude. Like that’s that’s really cuz that’s part of him. And I think that that that if you watch his games at Yukon, when he’s that locked in, not even in terms of just putting up stats on the on the box score, but when he’s that locked in into a game and that involved into a game where he starts the antics and starts all that, that juices his play and he he plays a lot better. So that’s what I really need from Liam Manila and I got that tonight. I think he was really good. Um he was coming off screens. He was, you know, creating for creating for others with six assists, getting a rebound. He was always in the right place at the right time. He looked solid on defense. He just looked like a more fluid player. And I think at Yukon, we saw him trying to beat his lead ball handle, trying to be like the Stefan Castle, Tristan Newton type of guy for Yukon. And that’s not really who he is. Like if you if you go back to even high school, which is something I had to kind of adapt to specifically in this drag class, that’s not something I was doing previously. I would I would strictly watch highlights of their high school tape and just see what happened cuz obviously college system changed stuff, but I wasn’t watching full games or any clip I could find on the internet with McNeely. He was one of those ones where, you know, you’re obviously your freshman season at Yukon did not look good. So, I was like, what’s the deal? And you see it like when he’s playing with these other guys, he just looks a lot more just a he just looks a lot more comfortable. And even tonight after he kind of shook things off at the beginning, he’s just beginning to look a lot more comfortable. And I think that’s literally the key to his game there. I’m telling you, if you go and watch, there’s a night and day difference. Even though I wasn’t the highest on the pick when we picked him, there is an obvious night. Is that uh I can’t think of his name. Weber that he used to he used to play for us, didn’t he? Anyway, u I think he’s like the summer league coach of the Suns. But anyway, when you watch Liam McNeely’s film at Yukon, there’s a night and day difference between the games he’s comfortable in and the games he’s not. And you can say that probably about a lot player, but it was just so obvious like when he when he’s talking and when he’s, you know, hype and when he’s just in the game, he just looks like a lot of a better player. He’s hitting, he’s he’s active, he’s playing defense, he’s creating, you know, mismatch. Like, there’s just a lot he can do. He’s he can do a lot of things. He’s a little quicker than like I would say Khan. Um but yeah, he’s just I I like him just because he is not just a shooter and that’s and I said that I’ve said that before even when I wasn’t that high on the pick. I thought there’s there’s other things he can do. I just feel as though you don’t want him to necessarily be the lead guy. And once he got comfortable, he could do it. And that’s once again what I saw at Yukon. But either way, I like Liam McNeely. Um, I know that I said like when we drafted him, I was like, I don’t know. Like, you know, he’s coming off injury, things like that. Um, but once that second round, I was like, it it makes a lot more sense. I’m still iffy just because I would really I really would want a wing defender. Even to this day, I want a wing defender even if they can’t shoot. We got we got we got shooters now. I need I need some defense. Just one just one really extremely solid wing defender. I think that changes a lot for um I think that I think that can change a lot for especially like our center rotation. But anyway, I like Liam McNeely. He can he can move. I think he can play with just about anybody. I feel that way about Khan as well. But Liam McNeely just has like a little more energy to him. Um but there’s there’s nothing wrong with either play style because I think they’re both you just plop them in and they can work. Uh, I think that Khan has a little more like upside as far as us being a guy that can run a second unit. Neither can light up a second unit. Um, but I don’t know if he can like necessarily run a second unit if that makes sense. Khan, I feel as though can be like more of the floor general, just offensive playmaking. Liam can kind of play off him and then, you know, playmaking that way. Not playmaking necessarily passing playmaking, just make make happen on offense. But either way, like Liam McNeely. Um, good guy. And as I mentioned, I think he looked good tonight. I don’t know if this is like obviously I don’t think like every summer league performance is going to be like this from him, but I do feel as though you’re going to get a lot of good games from him. I think you’re going to like Nick’s game I wouldn’t be surprised you get like a 15, eight, and eight, you know, a 12, six and four. Like that’s just the kind of player he is. he’s going to fill up the stat sheet. Uh just because he can do it in a lot of ways with the ball, without the ball. Um but yeah, I I think the pick makes more sense once you put, you know, you when you think about getting Khan, getting a lot of these other ball handlers because that’s another thing. When we drafted him, I was nervous that we were going to have him as a ball handler. So, his role is just making a lot more sense. Like, we just need you to light it up. Obviously, he can do a lot of other things, but just light it up any way you see fit. And I think that giving him that freedom, but allowing him to play with other talent, allowing him to move off that talent and just feed off that, I think that’s what’s going to be huge for him. He’s, if he, you know, we keep giving him that, giving that energy around him, I think he’s going to go far. So yeah, shout out to the McNeely cuz he he was he was a pleasant surprise. I was wondering what it would look like cuz I 22 and 12 is 22 and six. That is crazy. Like I didn’t expect that going, you know, going into the regular season, but I did what I thought it was going to be is that he didn’t really perform well here perform and perform much better in the regular season with the talent around him. So, it’s cool to see him performing this way cuz I just know with the other guys he’s going to perform well. So, let me know what your thoughts are down in the comment section below. The Charlotte Hornets win their first summer league game against the Uath Jazz 111-105. There were some good performances all around. From Liam McNeeley to KJ Simpson. There were some not so good perfomances as well but for the most part, it was an impressive outing by the Hornets summer league team.

  1. This is why stacking talented players was a good call. One of them is bound to go off and today it was McNeely. Hornets needed this type of depth last season and the off season additions will help out big time

  2. McNeeley is a better pro prospect than Kneuppel. The Hornets shouldn't have wasted draft picks on guards. They should have selected Queen and McNeeley in the 1st. Kalkbrenner and another wing in the 2nd. We'll see how it plays out.

  3. the improvement from Tidjane might be the biggest thing to happen to thing team this offseason, if he can become a guy on this team it would unlock so much for this roster. (watching him compared to this time last year, he looks like he's supposed to be here)
