  1. Howard could have just not signed and walked, so getting ANYTHING for him is a positive

  2. Considering neither has played an NHL game it’s hard to grade. Howard’s projected ceiling as a top 6 forward will play this year but we don’t know how his game translates to the show. O’Reilly is a few years away but projected to be a solid defensive two way 3rd line center.

    Both are valuable assets, but we can’t truly grade this trade for another 5 years. Everything is speculation and speculation says oilers won on potential, but let’s wait and see who these two become.

  3. O’reilly is probably better than the second round pick we would have ended with, oilers fans seemed to like his potential

  4. I’m a Canadian Tampa fan that lives in Edmonton. If you look at the oilers sub Reddit they’re basically calling Howard the next Clayton Keller and expect him to be a superstar. Lots of pressure on him and will see how this works out for Isaac, he asked for this.
