Multiple MAJOR Warriors Free Agency Updates…
We have multiple major Golden State Warriors free agency updates to discuss as there has been a lot of reports coming out surrounding different players being linked being tied having their signings imminent to this Warriors team and the list of players linked to Golden State here now at this point from reports from news from all these different outlets is getting wild. So, we’re going to break down the latest names to be attached to the Golden State Warriors, why no one inside, and why some of these signings are certainly imminent. And frankly, it comes down to the fact the Warriors need to bring in players. They don’t have enough guys out there on their roster right now. So, some of these sightings are certainly coming into play very, very soon once that first Don domino of the Jonathan Kaminga signing trade or signing ends up going down. So, we’re going to break down what all these latest updates are and how it impacts this team moving forward. But before we dive into that, folks, you guys have been crushing it, hitting that subscribe button as of late. And I want to remind you, if you are a part of the 75.6% of our viewers that have not hit the subscribe button just yet, and you want to stay up to date with everything on this Golden State Warriors team, hit that subscribe button down below so you can join this community we built here at Warriors Digest. It’s free. You can hit that button and it helps us out a ton. But let’s dive into it because there are a lot of reports circulating, some crazy ones regards to Ben Simmons, different players, and some some familiar names. So, let’s dive into the familiar names first before we dive into the later updates in terms of, you know, new guys getting out of the list, which you know, Ben Sibbons is of course a part of. But, let’s dive into it. So, first things first there um so there’s Melton who has been linked to the Golden State Warriors as well as the Lakers since the start of free agency. And during the first week, there was no shortage of league personnel who believed Melton signing with the Los Angeles Lakers was inevitable. The Lakers need a versatile defender on the perimeter who could knock down multiple three-point shots, which is why Milton was viewed as a perfect fit. So, we went through this whole roller coaster like Randy Arthur have covered all this stuff a ton. You know, Dean Melton’s been linked to the Lakers of different teams and it felt like he might be out of reach for the Golden State Warriors. But that changed as free agency went along as they have filled all 15 roster spots, referring to the Lakers, and utilized their full mid-level exception. And Melton has been keeping his options open. One interesting note from Summer League regarding Melton is that he’s not necessarily a midlevel exception player and could take a minimum contract in the right situation. So that is a very interesting turn of events on the DeAnthony Melton sort of sweep stakes here now at this point because he’s a guy that certainly in terms of his production in terms of like the quality of basketball player that he is right if we uh take a look at his stats right we can take a look at a you know fully set up here if I bring up the right image there we go right he is a guy that is certainly you know at 10 points per game last season a small sample size the last couple seasons have been filled with injuries for the Sixers as well as the Golden State Warriors but roughly a 10point per game guy 3.3 rebounds 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals, plays elite defense, he knocks down the three ball at a high rate. And you know, it’s one of those dudes if he can stay healthy out there on the basketball court, can be a serious impact player for whatever team brings him in. But given those stats, a lot of people expect him to get that mid-level exception, get that type of money. But now these new latest developments in regards to Melton are that hey, he could be gotten on the minimum. So, if you can get Melton out there on the minimum for this Warriors team, that is a pure heist out there for Mike Dunle in this front office. So, we’ll see how things continue there. But to build off of this report, to build off of this piece of news essentially, uh you know, the right that right situation where he would sign for the minimum contract would take playing time, a role, and the team that’s status taken and the team status into account. Melton has already been familiar with the Golden State Warriors, and he would be guaranteed playing time incurs nightly rotation. and Golden State expects to be in the mix centered around the Western Conference next season. So he came out and said everything beat around the bush to essentially say the Golden State Warriors are that right situation. So in his previous quote it was Milton would be willing to take the minimum contract out there in the right situation and then says how he’s familiar with Golden State. He’d have a role there and basically they’re going to be competitive teams. So Milton would be interested in signing the minimum. Very very interesting stuff on that. We’ll keep you posted. I wouldn’t be shocked if once the Kaminga situation gets resolved, there is uh you know immediate decisions out there for Melton as well as Al Horford. But that’s kind of the updates on Dean Anthony Melton. But we saw Ben Simmons other what’s going on with these latest updates. So essentially the seagull went out to say as well that outside of players like Malcolm Brogden, Trey Lyles, and Gary Payton II who have previously reported as potential free agent targets for the Warriors this off seasonason, two other interesting names are brought up in conversations during the first two days of summer league. And that includes Seth Curry as well as Ben Simmons. Now that’s where things get very, very juicy for this team. That’s where things get very, very interesting in terms of the direction, in terms of how this offseason’s going. Now, Arthur touched on some of these Daves, of course, in yesterday’s video. You know, breaking down some multiple updates and things like that, but I’m leaning into the the start off with the Ben Simmons stuff because, of course, Ben Simmons last season in 22 minutes per night, averaged five points per game, five rebounds, and 5.6 assists. So, you know, I don’t know if that’s a triple double, half a triple double, whatever the heck you want to call that, but you know, he’s 610. He’s 28 years old. He’s been not healthy, like in terms of where he was in the prime of his career, but he’s been able to play some games out there for his recent teams. He still can’t shoot the three, but is still a very solid defender. He can play in space and actually had a sneaky little resurgence with the LA Clippers in the back half of last year. So, Ben Simmons in a vacuum, you know, for years, this man has been compared to Draymond Green in terms of his play style and impact he can have out there on the basketball court. of course, you know, he’s never going to be Draymond Green in terms of impact and all those types of things, but bringing him in as like a Draymond like coming off the bench, being able to play defense, play versatile positions, that could really open things up out there for the bench unit out there on this Warriors team, you know, for Steve Ker to have some fun with different lineups and see maybe if he get a little bit more out of Simmons than other teams previously have since his departure with the Philadelphia 76ers. You know, we’ve seen, you know, the Warriors take on these resurgent projects and actually get the most of them. You know, Wiggins was never at the state Ben Simmons currently is in right now. But, you know, the Warriors get the most out of team. So, that’s uh, you know, could be a really, really cool fit for this squad. The one hair in the soup, so to speak, in regards to Ben Simmons is uh, he’s seeking a salary greater than the minimum contract. So, Coffee and Simmons are both expected to get better offers elsewhere than they would from the Clippers. With Simmons in particular looking at teams with exceptions, uh, he’s not looking for a minimum deal. So, you know, I think if a team has already offered Ben Simmons anything beyond a minimum deal, he would have taken it already. I’m sure a lot of teams are out there in the mix, you know, hoping to offer him a minimum contract. But, you know, if we look at all this in terms of fit in terms of stuff, I think it’s worth on the minimum to bring in Ben Simmons, but like I’m more intrigued by Melted than I am specifically Ben Sibs there. It could be a cool joke. It could be a cool story to follow over the course of the season. I do think it’ll be interesting to see him fit and squeeze in around that Draymond Green roll off the bench for the Warriors, but still not a guy that I, you know, sell on the farm for in terms of our late free agency assets after the Kaminga stuff is figured out, after the Horford stuff is figured out and, you know, dishing money out that way. Then we could start having those big discussions. So, uh, Ben Simmons is a name that’s linked. And the other guy was in that mix is Trey Lyles, who is a player. Him and Chris Bucher are the two guys I’ve been talking about a ton about, hey, this is who the Warriors should really go after. Now, I’m a bigger Boucher guy than I am Trey Lyles. But, you know, if we take a look at Lyall’s stats in terms of the impact that he could have out there on the basketball court, uh, basically, you know, last season 20 minutes per game, 6.5 points, five rebounds, 1.2 two assists and a player that knocks down the three ball at that, you know, power forward position. 34% of the three-point line, 38% on corner threes, and just a solid complimentary role player that could slide up, play solid defense at that big man spot because look at the Warriors depth chart. Of course, there are a couple centers there. There’s there’s some big men out there in the lineup. Some people are saying, you know, we’re we’re hopeless on that front, but, you know, adding some more forward depth, especially depending on how the Jonathan Kaminga situation ends up, a guy like Trey Lis could be crucial for this team. So, you know, interesting piece and I’ll also give my piece on Seth Curry as well who was named in that article because, you know, hasn’t had a ton of run, a ton of opportunities at different places, but the one thing he can do is just shoot the three ball at a really, really elite rate. You know, uh 60 minutes per game last season, 6.5 points, but shooting 45.6% from the three-point line and over 54% on corner threes. Imagine you take this guy out of a situation like Charlotte and put him into a situation that, you know, fits his play style, like fits around his brother, like all that stuff. You could be getting the most out of Seth Curry, which I’d be very, very intrigued by. So, let me know what you guys think about all of this in the comments section down below. You guys are best thinking this far. Subscribe to the channel if you guys haven’t already. Anyways, I’m signing out. Cheers.

Speculation is fun for some of us. Thanks for the latest ๐
Please no Seth wonโt help at least try for Simmons you never know, you put him with the Warriors What is ation at least for one year you never know what could happen
has their ever been a greater fall out of a players prime than ben simmons? only tyreke evans comes to mind.
Simmons is a joke, a drama queen, a disappointment as a team player.
If he won't play JK, while would he play Ben? Who can't score and scare to even shoot the d$mn ball.
All these gymnastics cause they donโt wanna get rid of Draymond and his huge salary. Now they wanna low ball everyone else. No one wants to come and wait to pass the ball to Steph. Steve Kerr needs to be fired and Draymond traded to the knicks for Kat and pics.
Enjoy your info. And itโs hard to watch you as your voice is not synced with your picture. Can you fix. Itโs that way every time
Since LeBron seems unhappy….What about trade Kuminga to LA for LeBron???….Curry, Butler, Green, LeBron and sign Horford….I like that. At least for a year. It would be "MUST SEE TV" for sure
I'd actually love Simmons in Warriors only if we get consistent 3rd scoring option. I need more firepower and then have defender/assister like Ben
Is Lindy Waters contract renewed by Pistons? If not, GSW should take him too maybe.
Get Seth Curry Ben Simmons and Trey Lyles now you cooking
I'd trade Kuminga for Giddey straight up, then Trade Moody, TJD & 1st RD pick for Nic Claxton, then I'd sign Simmons to a vert minimum
PG: Steph Curry – 6"2
SG: Josh Giddey – 6"8
SF: Jimmy Butler III – 6"7
PF: Draymond Green – 6"6
C: Nic Claxton – 6"11
Bench:
6th: Brandin Podziemski – 6"4
PG: Taran Armstrong – 6"5
SG: Buddy Hield – 6"4
SF: Ben Simmons – 6"10
PF: Gui Santos – 6"6
C: Quinten Post – 7"0
Two-Way Contracts:Guard: Will Richard – 6"4
Forward: Alex Toohey – 6"8
I like Simmons for us he fits our style of play
Basically we're still cooked… we been in the news linked to ppl and yet we haven't even hand out vet minimums. Idc if jk needs a new contract or not. We can still sign vet minimums if its the right players. Yet we haven't done zip
I swear if Warriors pick up Ben sorry Simmons and Bradley selfish Beal Iโm going to not root for this team
Get melton for what so u can trade em during all star break๐
Melton, Coffey, horford, Boucher, brogdon. Any of those guys would help us, especially the first 3
what are we doing with these 6 point players? Simmons? Trey? really? … get Westbrook here. half the price of each of these guys. with 14 points and he wants a ring!!! JK can put up the points trey and ben put out… what on earth is going on? CURRY DESERVES BETTER
โMAJORโ ๐๐
meh…zzzzz…
I believe Simmons can be are Livingston if warriors get em right not saying heโs better Livingston was the man but I think Simmons can be somewhat there
I like Seth Curry
just trade steph atp
Its no surprise they can't get anyone there, look at the discrepancy in the money allocated to the top 3 players. They can only afford scrubs to play for crumbs. As long as the core is eating up 90% of the cap space, the Ws won't win shiii ๐๐๐๐๐
Get Ben Simmons…
Simmons, yes, but also need a big man like Bol Bol or Mo Bamba
Other team already enjoyed the Banquet while the Warriors, they where left picking left overs
NOOOOOOOOOOO not Ben Simmons…give me a F_ing break!
How did we went from trying get to get Al horford to damian tooo Beal now we want Ben smh
Warrior just sign the summer league player simple ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Sign Seth, Horford and maybe even Lyles for more depth
CHRIS BROCHEUR
At this point, is there anyone they havenโt named in the league? Whatโs next? G league? WNBA?
Every time I think of Simmons, I think of another former #1 pick that the Warriors were able to transform into a serviceable player and that was Andrew Wiggins. Remember, he was a bust in every system prior to joining the Warriors. I often wonder if guys like Kerr and Dray can maximize Simmons, but unfortunately, Simmons has a history with Butler and I dont know if those two really get along. It'd be great to get a defender like Simmons though if it doesn't cost too much.
outside of d melt this is actually ass that curry has these players to look forward to playing with. we have enough below avg 3pt shooters on the roster.
Ben Simons is a very interesting player and fit for Kerrโs system. Depending on heath, physical and mental, he could be worth more than the veteranโs minimum. I think heโs worth the gamble
