Pretty much the one point of contention might involve Otis over Beltran due to length. Beltran really came into his own post-KC
Mike Sweeney needs to be in at 1st or DH
Don’t get me wrong. Love the ‘14 ‘15 guys but is Eric Hosmer better than Mike Sweeney?
I may lean Grienke over Saberhagen. But could easily be convinced of Saberhagen. Pretty good list overall
Bo Jackson?
I’m confused, where’s Omar?
Balboni?
Ned Fucking Yost?! Did they forget Whitey Herzog and Dick Howser existed? Yost had a .483 win pct. Get the fuck outta here.
There’s no doubt Witt will take the SS position. Escobar, however, went to 2 WS, winning 1. Can’t forget how great he played in the big games.
This is my opportunity to state that Dan Quisenberry belongs in the HOF, and I’m willing to fight anyone who disagrees
Look at Amos Otis stats for outfield. Sweeney should be first base.
Only beef I have:
Sweeney > Hos
Howser > Ned
Could argue Monty over Quiz but not a hill I’d die on
Dick Howser?
Amos Otis?
Cookie Rojas?
Mike Sweeney?
Jermaine Dye?
Lot of problems with this list and what it considers “honorable mentions”.
Balboni-less
Howser for manager.
This is not very impressive. Probably something to do with small market spending. Whitey or Dick over Ned too.
Lorenzo Cain in CF anyone?
Look, we all love Bobby. But he’s in his fourth season. I’m never comfortable placing someone at the start of his career on any all-time list. For right now, it should be Freddy Patek.
Where is jac caglianone?
Swap out Hosmer for Sweeney and Ned for Whitey and I’d say its almost perfect.
You can argue for Grienke as well.
Mike Sweeney easily at first. He was amazing for a few years
I wasn’t around for Quisenberry but there was a point in time when Wade Davis was so automatic we called him a robot.
Frank white should never be on anything like this.
Gimme a prime Wally Joyner over Hoz
I would toss Beltran. He has some bad Karma with the cheating in Houston.
Ned Yost as a joke, or…?
I won’t stand for this Ken Harvey slander
Ned yost batted the statistical worst hitter in the majors first in our order during the years they were good. They won in spite of him not because of him.
I’m so glad there are finally debates about this.
The answer to this used to be the 1985 team + Bo Jackson for 30 years of my life.
Just like how an All-Chiefs Team looks A LOT different today than 10 years ago.
Is Amos Otis a joke to you???
Since Amos Otis isn’t on this, it’s not worth our time.
Not reading the thing, but Willie in RF feels like cheating. And Hosmer over Mayberry is a choice I wouldn’t make. Regardless of championships. Mayberry started here the third year of existence and left the team as yearly contenders.
