RECORD SETTING DAY At Wrigley For Miles Mikolas And The St. Louis Cardinals
Is it over yet? Holy crap. Record setting day for the Cardinals at Wrigley, but for all the wrong reasons. Hey, it’s JD from Lock on Cardinals. Happy 4th of July to everyone. Plenty of fireworks in Chicago. Problem was they were all in cubby blue as the Cubs set a franchise record by hitting eight. You heard me right. Eight home runs in one game to crush the Red Birds 11 to three. Miles Michaelis got tattooed for six of those dingers and allowed eight runs on 10 hits in six innings. John King gave up the other two. The eight home runs, also a franchise record of home runs given up in a game for the Cardinals. Way to go, boys. They did finally score after getting shut out three games in a row. But it got so bad that the Cubs actually put in a position player in the ninth inning to close out the game because they didn’t want to waste a real pitcher against the Cardinals. Needless to say, this team is in a really bad spot. They’ve lost four in a row. They can’t hit. The starting pitching is crumbling and they still got two to go in Chicago who have now beaten them three times in a row and outscored them 22 to3 in those games. Glad for two things: I'm not watching this miserable team any more this year, and there is the WNBA.
With this team it wouldn’t matter who we had for pitching, we can’t hit the ball.

This organization is so incompetent. To keep rolling mikolas and fedde out there and continuing to pass up putting guys like McGreevy in the rotation is why I don’t have faith in the front office or coaching staff. This front office isn’t trying to win ball games, they’re content with the worst thing (mediocrity)

Wow I said we should have pitched McGreevy against Pittsburgh and saved Sonny for yesterday but no… Mikolas (needs to be sat for awhile if we can't send him down) now it scares me we have Libby on Sat im ok with but Fedde on Sun? Couldn't have done some rotation work on the day off before getting blasted?

Marmol needs to be fired. He has this annoying track record with killing momentum when we start winning and goes on these ridiculous, annoying losing streaks that just kills our season. He needs to go.
