Going underslot on Bremner makes more sense now. In Perry we trust.

  1. That’s great 😀.

He had an opportunity to draft either of the two best ones (highest upside players in the draft as well) and didn’t do it

  2. So what’s the benefit of acquiring 9 prep players all of a sudden?

  3. Seems they feel confident in their new pitching and hitting lab in the Arizona league to draft this many prep players. Way more than Perry has previously ever. We will wait to see but I’m excited to see what they can do with some of the talent we drafted. Namely Slawinski and Talon Haley

  4. Mariners fan just here to defend Bremner. Kid can pitch and had reasons why his stats are worse this year. Had 1-1 potential all year. Shouldn’t pitch in the majors in the spring as he needs to adjust to AA and AAA first. But as in March, he still looks like he could be the best pitcher in the draft. If he’s underslot and it helps sign some of the impressive HS talent it’s about as good a pick as you could have. The laughing stock of the league (angels front office) took a huge positive step forward the last couple days.

  5. Gotta trust the GM here, but Holliday being available and not grabbing him is a question mark (I understand money is a thing, but our 3rd base play is negative in runs saved, and the hitting from there hasn’t been great either)
