Really sad to see. I honestly think, if he can stay healthy, he could 100% be a top 6 winger with his shot. Hoping there can be a reconciliation but don’t think one will come 🙁
That’s sad to hear, honestly wonder what triggered it?
He was injured for most of the season so I struggle to see what the issue is, mabe wasn’t playing on the top line like he wanted to?
Make him play out the last year of his deal imo. What could he even fetch at this point
I’ll be bummed if he ultimately really doesn’t work out, but I’m all for shipping out anyone who doesn’t want to be here.
Seeing how hard of a time he has at staying healthy I wouldnt mind moving on from him. Hes been giving Ryan Murray vibes as someone who is immensely talented but can’t stay healthy.
Has a great shot, but that’s about it. His trade value is depressed due to his injury liability
Just ignore it.
Think he was upset about not having top minutes when he wasn’t producing? Or that he wasn’t playing after injury?
I really don’t think his statement hurts the idea of Columbus. Depends on what the misunderstandings are.
We drafted Chinny for his shot, and it wasn’t there after injury. No biggie, he was getting back into after injury and he had an off-season to help recover.
Makes me wonder what happened.
Which the dude could land more shots but after the injuries he struggled.
Why would we sell him at his absolute lowest? He’s injured a lot, but his scoring potential is so high. Just keep him for the rest of his contract. If he scores like he can and should, the issue will resolve itself because he’ll get moved up.
It’s disappointing to see this from someone we took a crazy chance on in the draft
I know it’s basically a requirement to label this as “rumor,” but it’s not a rumor if it’s being posted by his agent.
Not going to speculate on what it was over but definitely should just keep for the season. No trade value.
Goddammit. Stuff like this always makes me really sad for both the org and the player.
Chinakhov
>I would like to be traded please
Waddell
>Nah
Honestly surprised they didn’t include him in a trade already. I thought for sure he would be in the move this summer.
Not surprising but his journey has been a damn shame. Another high ceiling player who couldn’t put it all together (when he wasn’t injured). Was kinda hoping we would have had this last season to see if he would find a groove.
If he recognizes them as misunderstandings, can’t they be remedied?
He’s good, but the injures have really taken their toll already. I’m not even sure what a good deal for us here would look like.
I’d love if there’s a way to still make this work, we still need a guy who can score like him.
Until he shows otherwise, he is made of glass. A frequent name in the IR list.
I love the guy , killer potential but he can’t stay on the ice.
Trade requests/demands outside the NBA don’t mean anything really. Myles Garrett demanded a trade from the Browns, went on a radio tour talking about how much he didn’t want to be in Cleveland. Then he committed basically the rest of his career to the Browns.
To be fair to Chinakov, when Sean Kuraly and Luke Kunin are playing in late game situations and you’re on the bench I’d start to get a little pissed too.
Looking at the people drafted after him that we could have gotten 🥲

One of my favorite players, sad to see.
