Sacramento Bee complaining about “ Let’s Go Oakland” chants

It’s almost like they stole Oakland’s team 😳
Hmm perhaps they’d enjoy some fuck John fisher chants. They realize the A’s are a rental right? Sacramento has zero ties to the team. It’s similar to when the blue jays played in buffalo during covid. They were never the buffalo blue jays.
Lol, the 2nd half of the article has that fan say they’re already ready to send the A’s to Portland or Nashville.
Funny they can’t see the irony of saying the owners unanimously voted to leave Oakland while also saying the fan experience sucks in Sacramento
Hmm, its the same shitty owner that doesn’t give a fuck about the fans.
The article is terrible but weirdly gets to the right place that Sacramento shouldn’t put up with this culture-killing shit and tell Vivek to boot the A’s.
Sacramento doesn’t really want the A’s but they also don’t want Oakland fans to have the A’s either.
Proves exactly why they should have never left Oakland in the first place
“No fan support” my ass. FJF.
I’ve mentioned this here before, but it’s the exact same situation as when Memphis was asked to babysit the Houston Oilers for two seasons while Nashville was still building their stadium. Memphis rejected them so badly during the 1997 season that Bud Adams shifted gears and decided to play at Vanderbilt for the 1998 season.
Of course, I was one of the few Memphians who actually fell in love with the team. I was 17 years old, and this was the first actual pro sports team to arrive in my home state. I knew they weren’t going to be in Memphis for long, but I figured having a team in my state was good enough.
But yes, I’ve been following on Reddit and I absolutely sympathize with Oakland, Sacramento, and everyone in this whole stupid situation, except John Fisher. Fuck that guy.
As a life long Oakland fan who lives in Sac, I love the let’s go Oakland chants.
The sac fans suck. No hype, no chants, it seems like the opposing team often has more hype than the A’s fans.
I always try to start the “let’s go Oakland” chants. Can take the team out the town, but can’t take the town out the team
For like 24 hours the story had him listed as Matt Miller.
I’ve got plenty of love for A’s fans in Sacramento from before the move, but all the new money ones, including the sports writers, who are figuring out the rules of baseball in real time are deeply annoying.
“Let’s go to Oakland” is what they mean.
Keep in mind folks that the people to be mad at is ownership. I suspect we’ll see a lot of articles trying to focus the bad feelings on Sacramento fans.
Any articles or op-eds framing this as a Sacramento problem are just wrong. It’s not that Sac doesn’t want MLB here, its that they have little interest being FJF’s sloppy seconds while he figures out what his next terrible moves to make are. If the A’s were actually moving here to become The Sacramento A’s with a proper MLB stadium being built (or current ballpark being truly converted), it would be an entirely different situation. However, the majority of fans here understand they’re being played and just aren’t interested in what feels more like the carnival has come to town. That’s zero shade on the players themselves, btw.
Who knew the Sacramento Bee still existed?
Fuck Sac! FJF FRM Fuck MLB!
The writer is such a fan of baseball that he was excited to watch A’s reliever “Matt Miller” hold the Braves scoreless in the “10th inning” of last Thursday’s game.
The article is dumb in many ways, as is the writer. Unless he was just so shitfaced at the game he forgot who the players were or when some of them were in the game.
LETS GO OAKLAND!
#FJF #SELLTHETEAM
Keep it going! I find obnoxious sports fans annoying, but I was planning on going to the game just to chant!

Sac-ra-mento! Would be a good heckle
Oh, goodie… now I can share what I wanted to share in r/SacramentoAthletics but I got banned for recommending they go as the “Yolo Athletics.”

The writer is named after LeBron lol.
My 15 year old son and I start a Let’s Go Oakland chant at every game we go to. It usually fizzles out, mostly because the Sacramento crowd has no real heart. But we aren’t going to let the team or the ownership forget where the team belongs and should be playing.
Good
😂
C’mon Sacramento, what did you all expect? The owner is a goddamned leech and he’s clearly using you for a couple years before he throws you aside to move to Vegas. He’s not even letting the A’s have your city’s name on the team, they’re just the Athletics. Don’t be all butt hurt, it was never about you anyhow.
Cry harder
Sacramento Beez Nutts 😭
As a current STH, I feel zero issues with lets go Oakland. The owner even refuses to attach to a city. Should they be called Oakland? Sacramento? Las Vegas?
lol ironic timing considering my post on here a couple days ago
Sell the team! #fjf
Sacramento A’s and the Oakland B’s.
It’s hard for me not to shit on Sacramento because in some cases yes they deserve to have an MLB team. But it can’t be at Sutter Health Park. They’re playing in a minor league ballpark that’s smaller than the Golden 1 Center, Vivek (who was so adamant about bringing the A’s over to the 916) has been to only 1 game this season, and they still can’t sell out the place even though every single person across Sactown said they would do in a heartbeat. Hell there were a lot more Giants fans on the 4th of July weekend than A’s fans considering that the River Cats are affiliated with SF and not the A’s
And don’t give me wrong I respect the media over in the 916 but I think they’re too scared to admit that this easily could’ve happened to the Kings regardless of how bad it went in Oakland. It’s both funny and shocking to me how Vivek is allowing Fisher and Manfred to have an MLB team in the capital city and not admit they’re getting used like a truck stop along I-5.
Plus if the city is that passionate about the green and gold then why is there a giant ass las Vegas ad on the left field wall. They brought this on themselves not Oakland.
Don’t give me wrong I love my team but I ain’t stepping foot in a Triple A stadium and brave 98+ degree heat just to watch a game.
