I tell you what, Cal Raleigh had some exhausting at bats. talking 10 plus pitches wasting no time jumping on that heater and that’s that pitch these Mariners are going to have to hunt against Max Marin how good that slider is but that fast ball is that’s where all the damage comes from 391 against that pitch now getting something middle of the plate jumped all over it obliterates this a moonshot how far way back there number 11 may not be found for a while 432 ft 111 mph off the bat. How could you not be impressed with Cal Raleigh, who is a tremendous defensive catcher, a great game planner, and there he is as a switch hitter being able to hit from both sides of the plate with power. Now one off the major league lead in home runs. Andrew Morone, left-handed reliever, a high riser, a true rain maker, and gone. Wow. You want to talk about up to the clouds? 1. Where Cal has made the biggest improvement is he is now stronger right handed than left. He has 3x as many AB on the left so he still has more home runs there. But if you look at his hitting from the right side of the plate his numbers are absurd. Slugging .853, OPS 1.235, and 16HR in 102AB. If you look back just 2 years ago he had 26HR left handed and 4HR on the right with .645OPS on that side. That sort of improvement on 1 side of the plate is a rare thing.
