Philadelphia Phillies: 2025 First Half Highlights (Ft. Harper, Schwarber, Trea, Wheeler & MORE!)
That one’s hit well out to right center field. Harris on the run. It is gone into the Braves bullpen. Two run home run for Harper. It’s number two on the year and the Phillies have taken the lead three-2. Some guys get it. This guy flat out gets it. Fly ball left field going back on it is Eli White to the wall. It is gone into the first row. Trey Turner. He has given the Phils the lead. It is four to three here in the top of the ninth inning. His first home run of the year. I always say the hitter let you know. He walked up out of there very confident it was going to get out and it does. That was the 18th strikeout for Aaron Nola. He’s the fourth Philly ever. He joins Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Cole Hamls. He’s going to become number two all time in strikeouts in Philly’s history at some point, which is remarkable. Really is. The one-two pitch, swing, and a miss. He struck him out and a hat-tick for Fitzgerald as well as Christopher Sanchez with his fourth career 10 strikeout game. Swing and a miss. That is 11 strikeouts, a careerhigh for Christopher Sanchez in a ball game. And again, it’s the change up today. One after another after another. Really devastating pitch. I mean, he’s been hitting that spot and lighting it up. And a cold strike three right down the shoot at 96. 12 strikeouts for Christopher Sanchez. 02 swag and a miss. He got him. He struck out the side. He has struck out four in a row. And the Marlins go down one, two, three here in the fourth inning. Eight strikeouts. 10 pitches this inning. Two balls, two strikes, and a strike three called right at the knees. 93 13 strikeouts for Zack Willer. He has struck out the side on two different occasions. Tying run is now 90 ft away for Johan Rojos. Fly ball right field. It’s not that deep. Cruises in. He makes the catch. Bones coming home. Here’s the throw to the plate on one hop. It gets by Ruiz. The Phillies have tied the game up. It’s a 66 game. That was a gamble right there. Sure was. If Ruiz comes up with this, bomb is probably out. Ruiz again blocks it. Here comes Scott. The throw not in time. The Phillies win it. Bryson scores the game winner on a wild pitch. They took two chances in the inning and both paid off. Yes, that was incredible. Secondary lead. He reads it. He thinks I’m going to go. Wow, what a heartbreaking loss. Great battle by the Nationals to come back and go ahead. What a crazy game. What a what what a ninth inning. Kyle Schwarber leads things off. He’s 0 for two again. He’s reached base safely in every game so far, dating back to 46 games from uh September of last year. That one’s floated out towards center field. That’s a base hit for Schwarber. The on base streak is up to 47 consecutive games. And obviously there’s admiration from everybody around baseball, but there’s a lot of admiration from even the guys in the clubhouse that are his teammates. Goes from first. Pitch is served out toward left field and it’s going to drop in for a hit. RBI number 1,000 for Bryce Harper. He becomes the 271st major league player to reach that milestone. Nice round of applause from the Phillies fans. Fan of Vision put a beautiful picture up on the board honoring a thousand RBI’s. I’m sure that’s not the most solid RBI he’s ever brought home, but perfect spot. Congratulations, Mr. Harper. It’s a great day to beat Mick Ael as he is making his major league debut. one of the coveted prospects for the Philadelphia Phillies. Swing and a miss. He got him with a curveball. His first big league strikeout. And yes, his family is here and they are loving it. They He has about 50 people that have come to watch him pitch. Swing and a miss. He got him. He just struck out the side. He’s got five Ks through the first two innings and a strike three called on the outside corner with a curveball. Eight strikeouts. it his major league debut. He is climbing towards some rarified air in Philly’s history as he gets O’Neal Cruz. Boom. Go right after him. And there you go. Strike three called. Nine strikeouts in his major league debut. He joins Curt Simmons for the high water mark in Philly’s history. That is incredible. Phillies win tonight as Schwarber lifts one to deep right field. It’s number 300 off the facing of the upper deck. What a shot by Kyle Schwarber. And the Phillies now lead it seven to three. 466 ft. Goodness. And you figured a milestone home run for Kyle Schwarber would come with some length to it. Wow. There’s a line drive down the right field line. That’s going to be in for a base hit. It’s a one hop off the wall and kicks away from Alexander. One runners in. Here comes Turner heading home. The throw by Ori is not in time and Schwarber will be out at third base. There was interference. The ruling on the field as we had obstruction at first. Obstruction, excuse me. Therefore, this runner’s protected to third and he knew it, too. That’s probably why Schwarber just kept going. Swag and a miss. He got him. And the Phillies hang on and have won nine consecutive games as Max Lazar closes out the 11th inning for his first major league save as the Phillies win it 9-6. They get three runs in their half of the 11th inning. That is absolutely amazing. Swiging a miss. Not this time. That is the 1,000th career strikeout for Zack Wheeler as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. He’s the 10th player in franchise history to reach a thousand strikeouts in a Phillies uniform. That’s cool. Yeah. Now that is a gift for Goldie. Wow. Let’s get him to win. Congratulations, Zach. That’s that’s incredible. You can see how excited he was about the whole thing. I love the reaction from the crowd though, too. Well, we go to the bottom of the 11th. Last chance time for the Phils here in extra innings as they’re staring at a sixgame losing streak. A new season long. JT Ruto is going to lead it off here in the 11. My drive down the right field line that’s in for a base hit. Cast around third. He’ll score. RBI single for JT. And we are tied up at three. Nick scores easily. And yeah, that’s right. I don’t know what that signal means, but it means something good. Well, here’s Bryson Scott. We’ll see if the Phillies can advance that runner into scoring position. He bunks. Beautiful bunch. Shaw’s got it. Throws. Not in time. Stop. Beats it out. That was a thing of beauty. Textbook. That was a heck of an effort by Shaw, by the way. Well, now let’s see if Otto Kemp is up there to bunt with runners on first and second. Marsh on deck. Nobody out. Otto squares and he bunts it toward third. It’s beautiful and BCH is not going to have a play. Three hits for Otto Kemp. How about the fights with the punch today? Yeah. And here comes Brandon Marsh who didn’t start the game but he’s got a chance to win it. Fly ball left center field. That’ll do it. Petro Armstrong going back. It’s off the base of the wall. A little excavation from Brandon Marsh. Oh man. Everybody touches their bag and the Phillies win it in the bottom of the 11th inning by a final score of four to three. Liner out there again. Roden going back out to the track. He’s not going to get this one into the flower bed. Grand slam. Estados just over the little fence and the Phillies have blasted it open. It’s his second grand slam of the year. 10-2. A happy Father’s Day, Nick. Wow. Wheeler retired the first 12 hitters that he faced today before the home run. And since that time, he’s retired nine straight. Swag and a miss. That’s 10 strikeouts. It’s his fourth double digit strikeout game of the year. 29th of his career. 3-2 swing and a miss. He got him. 11 strikeouts. One, two, three, go. The Reds here in the eighth inning. 13 pitch eighth inning and a standing O for Zack Wheeler trying for his fifth complete game. The one two swing and a foul tip. One away. Fly ball left field. This should do it. Kepler waits. He settles, makes the catch. A complete game for Zack Wheeler. He faced one over the minimum. The Phillies win it three to one. His fifth career complete game and he was incredible this afternoon.

What happened to them π
If the Phillies keep playing scoring like five or more runs every game and having a lockdown pen they would be one of the best teams, if not the best go Phillies
